  1. That's a really good point. The problem here is that scouting it's an important part, it's true, but in this way we have a luck game, not a strategy one. It's a lottery: if both players know each other pokemons, then both will change them... so what's the point of scouting, if the opponent will change all his/her pokemons, as I'll do? XD Let's think about VGC, for example: you can change one or two pokemons, knowing what your opponent used the day before, but you have your core, that you tested for weeks or months, so you'll not change more than 1 o 2 of your poks. You have to build a team that can do well with most of teams and cores, then you can change something, but not building a totally new team. An example is Yugioh's side deck: you can change some cards, but not change the core of your deck.

Chansey will not be uber, I think, because in 4 and 5 gen there are a lot of good fight pokemon and moves. But it'll be with Eviolite, same thing with Pory2 and, possibly, Dusclops. Do we have to ban entirely a pokemon just of one item? Do we have to ban an item just because it would be used on every pokemon? Do we have to keep the meta slow, stalling and boring? I've just quitted a match in OU: 16 turns and all 12 pokemons were 100% health... It's no normal. It's no funny. It's not even Pokémon at this point.
  3. OK, I'll try to explain this in the easiest way I can. (1) Yest, they are 2 different meta, that’s why I use Helping Hand in VGC and not in single. Thx. But I’m talking about something else. (2) I’m talking about items and items’ effects. The clause it’s meant to not allow a 6 Focus Sash Pokemons team. And this for single, double, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, VGC, Uber, OU, UU, NU, LC, monotype, Battle Spot, Random Battle, Random Double Battle etc. etc. (3) Try to explain to me how the format is different. I mean: why you think the clause is good in double/VGC and not in single. Explain it in details. If you explain the reason I'll listen, if you just say “It’s different!!!” I can’t. Because for me it's not different for what I'm talking about. I like the fact that we make our rules, and I am not saying that we must copy VGC or Smogon (that was just an example to answer to the "It's impossible to build a team" argument). And I think I've already explained why I think we should implement the clause, it adds strategy that at the moment is totally absent here.

Sorry, but this makes no sense at all XD You said " too restrictive to teambuilding ", and I simply "proved" that this is false, because there is VGC, where you can EASLY build a team of 6 Pokemon (yeah, you use only 4, but you still build a 4 Pokemon team with 4 different items) with 6 different items. And there are A LOT of different items in 5/6 gen, so it's not so hard to build a team, but you force people to use their brain, at least a little. And as I understood, Pokemon is a strategy videogame, so... it's a good thing.
  5. OK, I haven’t been much on the forum in past months, so excuse me if this it’s been already discussed (in that case link me the discussion :) ). I have 2 proposals for the meta. I know there will be a big update (4-5 gens), but I think it’s better start discussing some issues before, in order to be prepared for the future (and fix it before it’s broken lol). I divided the 2 proposals in 2 different threads, because they can be implemented separately, so it’s better to keep the 2 discussions separated. Idea number 2: Spectating rule The idea is quite simple: we can watch matches in tournaments, which is good. The problem is that we can watch the entire match, so bring counters, so stall, so make all the tournament boring. Yesterday I was so bored I stopped watching the tournament after the second round… So the proposal is this: we can spectate an ongoing match, but not an completed one. So, if you quickly finish your match you can see something of your next opponent, but you’ll not see all their pokemon (not the fainted ones, for example, because you cannot re-watch the match from the beginning, once it’s over). I prefer this solution rather than «You can’t change your pokemons», because I like the idea of changing something based on the opponent: I know they will be a tanky one, so I choose these pokemons and this strategy; I know that the next one will use a lot of Spikes, so I bring Rapid Spin. Of course at the end of the tournament all matches should be watchable. Tell me what you think about it :D

If, as it seems, we will have 4gen and 5gen pokemons, items and moves, then we could implement this rule. The reason is very simple: have a better meta. Why should we do this? As I said in the old topic: «I'm watching the OU tournament right now... 45 minutes in and it's still a 3v3». This makes the Pokemmo’s meta too boring, unfortunately :( Too many tanks, too many walls. And, honestly, sometimes dumb strategy: just stall and wait. «Why don’t you just use Knock off, man?» Well… why did we ban Chansey, or Gengar, or Dugtrio or Snorlax? If you MUST use a single item/pokemon/move in order to counter a singular item/pokemon/move, then there is a problem to be fixed. And there aren’t good Knock off users, at the moment. MAYBE in the new meta there will be a lot of good Knock off users, and the problem will disappear… but I’d like to discuss this anyway, because I think that this adds a lot more strategy (there’s a reason if vgc has it): if you already have a pokemon with Leftovers, then you have to use Black Sludge, so you need a Poison pokemon, just for example. We will not be forced to ban Focus Sash or Eviolite because of abusers, nor some pokemons (Dusclops, Porygon2, Chansey, just talking about Eviolite). I think that we can’t introduce such a rule NOW, but what about the future? With 4th and 5th gen’s items I think it’d be possible, because there would be a lot more items (I would add Assault Vest too, but it’s another story). Tell me what you think about it :D

  10. Hello. I have this problem: we are fusing 2 teams in one. The problem is that there is a limit of high rank (I don't know the english name, in italian are: "ufficiale", "comandante", "dirigente". It make sense that there is only 1 boss in a team, but could be the limit for others rank a little bit more? For "dirigente" is only 3, and "ufficiale" is 10; I don't know for "comandante". Could you just double these numbers please? :) Please, change it, we'll have a lot of problems deciding who should be a higher rank :(
  11. Thanks for this! Now I can clarify it. I listed some pokemons, and some are not even OU or UU. So what's the problem with Snorlax? Is Curse? Is Rest? Is Bodyslam (or Return)? Some other pokemons have those! Yes and no: all these are the problem! Because Snorlax (and its stats) is the problem. If you want to ban something of Snorlax and not Snorlax itself, what are you gonna ban? Some players lose against Curse, other against Rest, others against Bodyslam. So the problem is Snorlax and all these things, you cannot ban just one.
  12. My 2 cents. I think Snorlax is Uber. Too many hp + so much atck + so much spe. def. The problem is not Curse or Body slam but Rest. At least for my team. You can defeate a Snorlax burning it, for example, and the opponent has to switch to heal it; and you can use Roar/Whirlwind too. Snoralx has too many hp to use Rest: full hp and no status. So... I'm thinkg. Some people say the problem is Body slam, others say it's Curse, I say it's Rest... MAY BE the problem it's just Snorlax itself? Let me do some "maths" to see what Snorlax has more than others. HP =160 Slaking 150. 65 s. def like Snorlax in def (but Curse!), 100 in def and Snorlax has 110 in s. def. More atk and speed... but that ability! Honestly the only Pokemon similar to Lax. Hariyama 144. A bit more atk with 120. But look ad def (60) and s. def (60)! Lapras? 130 with less s. def (95) a bit more of def (80 but no Curse) and a lot less (s.) atk 85. Wailord? 170. 45 in each def... 90 in (s.) atk. Wigglytuff?!? ATK = 110 (half of these are not even OU) Vaporeon has 130 in hp (Snorlax 160), 60 in def (65 + Curse), 95 in s. def (110 without weakness) and 110 in s. atk (Snorlax in atk). Slaking and Hariyama as before. Scizor 130. HALF hp, 100 def (110 Lax's s. def) and 80 s. def (Lax 65 def + Curse). No Curse, no Rest. Ursaring 130. 75 def and s. def. 90 in hp Rhydhon 130 and 120 in def. It's OK, but 105 in hp and...40 s. def (no Calm Mind or Amensia). Machamp 130. 80 def and 85 s. def and 90 in hp too. Not bad buth not enough. Breloom 130 but 60 hp, 80 def and 60 s. def Absol 130 with 65 in hp and 60 both decences Kingler 130 and 115 def... but 55 in hp (1/3 of Snorlax!) and 50 s. def Pinsir 125 and 100 in def. 65 hp... Gyarados 125 and also 100 in s. def. But 95 hp, no Rest, 4x Electric Heracross 125. Quite good defences too (75 - 95) but HALF hp! And a some more weaknesses. Armaldo 125 and 100 in def. But 80 s. def, HALF hp and some more weaknesses. Granbull 120 and 90 hp. OK... 75 def, 60 s. def. Hitmonlee 120. 110 in s. def. Oh, it's like Snorlax!!! No... 1/3 in hp! And even less def (53). Donphan 120 in both atk and def with 60 in s. def. 90 in hp. It's not bad at all, but has nothing to boost s. def like Snorlax do with Course Blaziken 120. HALF hp, and it's enough XD Sharpedo 120 and half hp, and basically no defences XD Crawdaunt 120. Less than half hp, both defences lower. Kabutops 115 and 105 def. But 60 hp. Zangose 115. HALF hp and 60 in both defences Banette the same: 115, 65 hp, 65 def, 63 s. def Arcanine SAME atk good. 90 hp good enough (?). 80 in each def, still good. And Morning Sun is as good as Rest. But not Curse. Dodrio. I've never seen one! XD Scyter same here XD Swampert. Like Slaking is a perfect comparison, it has got Rest + Curse too. 90 in both defenceses is good, like the only 1 weakness. One of the most similar Pokemon to Snorlax, I think. The biggest different is that 100 in hp... guys the Snorlax problem IS HP! Golem? Cactune?!? Flareon?!? S. DEF = 110 (as with atk: most of these are not even OU) Kekleon 120 and 70 in def, so it's the same or even better...(?) Nope 60 hp and 90 atk. Tentacruel 120 and even 65 in def! But with HALF hp and a lot less atk (70/80). Mr. Mime 120, 100 s. atk and 65 def. The difference? Try to guess: hp! 1/4 Hypno 115 and 70 in def. Oh, is even better than Snoralx! Half hp and 73 s. atk... Gardevoir 115, with same defence (but no Curse) and a bit more of (s.) atk 125, but with 68 in hp and no Rest. Hitmonlee as before. Hitmonchan too, and it also as 105 atk, but that damn 50 hp; the same for Hitmontop. Slowking 110 perfect. 95 hp is good too and even 80 in def! 100 in s. atk is good enough. It has Slak-off. And Slowbro too, with Calm Mind he boosts s. def with a lot of def. But too many weaknesses and let's be serious 160 hp is a lot more. Cradily 107, also 97 in def. But 81 in atk/s. atk and HALF hp. The same for Blastoise. Flareon again... lol And this is important too: And some people quoted "Chansey"... well I play it a lot and I think it should be banned.
  13. I never find a match in double :( Ranked Doubles Matches would be a solution. In this game we farm a lot, so people try to sign-in in different moment. With a specific time would be easier to find opponents.
  14. I don't see why Blissey, Snorlax and Gengar could be defeated now with these new item. Honestly I think they are still uber; actually the life orb makes Gengar even better. I would like to say more, but I have to farm so much that I don't have energy and time for this :( I've discusset enough with team-mates. I don't think OU tier will change so much, and I don't understand why to reset, it would be easier to change single pokemons when a strategy made it OP for a tier.
  15. What I think is that shed shell is pretty useless without the Item Clause (All pokemon on a team must hold different items). I don't agree with codylramey: there are not enough items (cherry for super effective moves, Expert Belt, Black Sludge, Life Orb, Metronome...) to be surprised, every X Pokemon will has Y item, because Y is the best.   17. Luxury Balls + Islands (money farming) I think the 30% is enough. Breeding Clefable is death, but it's normal in MMO XD
  18. It would be great! I love this kind of things. Also would be great add new bikes (we have only the motorcycle). In WoW there are a lot of these things... because they are cool.
  19. Irrevelant, I think. 99% of those pokemons are obviously NU: all not-full-evolved are NU. We can remove them from NU in the Pokedex, it's tacit that they are NU.

  21. Totally agree: 30 is too much. Some team-mates have been kicked ofr afk or crashes. And in few seconds we have 50 players, so why do we need more than 10 minutes?!?
