  1. There's just so much wasted space in the current Battle UI which can be utilised for more practical things.
  2. You know how in Showdown, there are indicators that show what stats are boosted by how many stages, well something like that should be added the PokeMMO battle screens. Basically, it'll help keep track of how many spikes, or stat boosts, etc. and it will help people who start spectating a match not from the beginning to see what is going on. Shouldn't be that hard, just a basic tooltip of some sort to indicate whether a gyara has boosted up to +6 ATK and +6 Speed, or that there are 3x spikes on the field. This can even possibly pave the way for more animations, for example an arcanine switching in could show that it's ability caused said gyara's atk to go down to +5, etc. Although, not sure why anyone would make a switch like that. There is a lot of empty space in the battle screens that can be utilised. I suggest under the pokemon name bars, you can have icons pointing upward with a number overlaid ranging from -6 to +6. Different colours of the arrows could stand for different stats, or you could even use words. TL;DR - Add stat indicators.
  3. As the title says. Kind of annoying when you have to wait 40 seconds to say something in channel chat, if you just posted something in the trade chat. Also, does not make sense logically either. Or instead of enforcing 40 seconds for channel chat as well, you could enforce only the 10 seconds that is usually enforced for channel chat itself. It makes sense to wait 10 seconds for channel chat if you posted in trade chat, compared to waiting for 40 seconds. And you could enforce another 40 seconds for trade chat instead of 10 seconds for posting in channel chat, but this hinders people who use multiple different chat types. TL;DR - Enforce wait times for only the specific chat type that was used and not for all chats.
  4. wow you finally got a chance to use that comic you've been saving up. high five
  5. so where can i catch torterra?
  6. but dex number tho.
  7. It's not out of place, you don't need to do all those courses to continue the beginning of the story. You can have Oak suggest that you go back to finish your diploma/Ph.D after E4. Even better, that could be made a requirement. At the beginning, you are able to do basic courses to get your Trainer Card, and it won't let you do the Diploma courses until you beat E4.
  8. That's where the Pokemon Academy quests come in. You have to remember, this game isn't Fire Red anymore. It's PokeMMO, a completely different game from Fire Red despite being based on it. Nothing wrong with modifying the story a bit in the beginning to add some necessary information in for newbies.
  9. That moment when no one realizes his own 18m is missing to buy his own shitty ditto. iirc, that ditto was like 6x8-, not sure why anyone would spend that much on such a ditto...
  10. To be honest, it shouldn't matter. If Joe wants to be Aroma Lady, power to him.
  11. Of course. And it does help the "end-game" issue by adding some kind of content/mini-quests to earn those tags.
  12. Sure, it may be a hindrance. But, everyday there are tons of questions in the channel chat asking how to do things that most active players (that usually use forums) already know how to do. As an MMO, there NEEDS to be a tutorial quest. To be completely honest, the Forums cannot be the place for newbies to look for help, it's simply not part of the game. I played RuneScape, and never looked at the forums. But I still knew how shit could be done because of the first quest being a tutorial that teaches the player, the basics. As you progress, there are other quests that teach you more and reward you with EXP, but those are always optional if considered a hindrance by people that may be making alts on RuneScape.
  13. Or you could just have a list open up like it does in the mart. It will show the items (i.e. the moves), their costs, and it'll hence tell you how many shards you're holding at the same time.
  14. They could even easily add it into the game story and have Oak suggest you check out the Pokemon Academy after you deliver the parcel to him. It can be further enforced by the old man not letting you pass without your trainer ID, and he could then lead you to the front of the academy.
