  1. this was after the patch, and i was able to login right after the patch, i wasn't when i logged out, but ty That explains it. Thanks a lot. Yeah it's dumb to have pokemon fainting without realising why EDIT: I still think there's pokes with quick claw. Staraptor in hoenn 2nd gym had no reason to attack first afaik. It does make sense a poke with claws to have that item, so im not too mad about it. It used close combat which doesn't have priority
  2. Where was the rain? EDIT: Im using Ttar, does drizzle occur under sandstorm?
  3. This is quite annoying. Every gym leader has 1 or 2 pokemon that outspeeds pokemon it shouldn't be able to. This make power lvling a living nightmare, because i wanna power lvl 3 pokes at once. The problem is that quick claw doesn't just proc once or twice, it procs multiple times per battle. I can't just have EV trained lvl 100 gengar and ttar get 1hko'ed by rng. It makes farming a nightmare, it makes power leveling a nightmare. Offtopic: I was on 8th hoenn gym, i had to logout because of this, I no longer had pokemons that would win that match, purely out of rng. Now i can't select server, it won't let me, some weird warning pops up. Help? EDIT: Nvm, i can now. But its quite frustrating how this one issue generated another problem
  4. There's ppl that stream mostly for fun, they don't care about being internet famous
  5. EV Training was made super easy now, as you now have hordes that give you a bunch of EVs for a single stat, in a single fight. Stuff like Defense and Attack that were boring to farm are now possible to have it reach 252 EV in like 30min to 1 hour each stat, when it used to be 3x/4x that time. If it was any easier or less time consuming it would just be way too fast compared to other pokemon games with RPG content I don't think it will be changed because someone works 2 jobs, that's not anyone's fault, and everyone/most ppl are fine with how EVs are trained right now
  6. Just introduce Seasons, like any other game with ranked play, problem solved
  7. I was looking for a GIF of Shaq laughing while facepalming, but i can't find one, someone message me one pls I highlighted something in the quote, i find it very interesting, because you did similar to those: nit pick on cons, thus only talking about them, and it wasn't constructive enough IMO, because again, there is no major inflation in his suggestion Anyway, you say that now, but it doesn't change the fact that, regardless what you think it's unnecessary or not, some positive words are always necessary. So since you hardly give any, I also don't have any nice words for you. And this concludes my crusade in this thread Did you really need context for that, since we've been talking about it since the start? Whatever.
  8. This is bashing. Let me tell you why. You're not giving one single good point in your comment, you're just raising problems. You gave no credit to the idea, you just made it seem like some impossible job. But since you're too clueless to find context, just hold tight He upvoted my post before making this one. He very likely saw your comment (which also you didn't say anything positive in it about my suggestion) that those suggestions deserved separate threads (the questing system and the dungeons, to which they did go along very well, that was actually the essence of my suggestion). So he thought about making the suggestion himself. Now i'll post here a chunck of text from my suggestion in the form of image I know that my thread is one and this is another, but both the OP and YOU have taken part of it. So you both probably saw the same. Give another read in the highlighted area. You'll see that it points out that if this kind of quest system gets implemented, NPC payouts should be revised, making so it doesn't really create "unbalance" Now im gonna ask everyone to open this spoiler and tell me the difference between his first post in this thread and the highlighted area in the spoiler To be fair, there is nothing in the suggestion of this guy addressing a possible inflation, but even considering that he didn't address it, he gave an example of 1k$ as prize, that's literally nothing if it's a daily thing, so where's the "unbalance" in this? Don't even bother replying to this, i can play your game better than you can You must be really fun at parties too EDIT: In case you didn't notice, the "Unexistent Problem" that you need context to understand was the almighty "unbalance" of the quest system that you claim so much to be there
  9. The prize is just an example. Also, if this were to be done as a money generation method NPC payouts had to be revised, like i said in another suggestion.
  10. I'm sorry but you're not the one that is going to demand me to do that. Mod-wannabe much? Also, if i did that, your posts complaining about it would become off-context. Buddy, you're way too close-minded. Why can't a legendary rampage a town? What's so odd about it? Do they just have to sit in a dungeon and be like "TAKE ME BOY!!"? Also the suggestion i gave to the world events would just be to beat a pokemon for a prize or something, not catch him. Dungeons would be there if you want to catch them. Like the bosses from the Halloween Event and North Pole Event. You had to beat them for a prize, it's as simple as that. Did you actually read my suggestion and tried to use your head while doing so? All i'm saying here i said in my first post, in other words. And duuuuude, you can time these events to happen ONCE every couple of hours, like 2 hours, there would be no chat spam. Why are you raising problems at every point when there's none?
  11. It was never publicly announced, so it's not my fault for not knowing, but it is still good input from my part to tell what i'd like to see Also they never said how it will work and what it actually gives you along with legendaries. If their only porpuse is to give legendaries it will be pointless hours of work for something so trivial and dispendable to have in the game. So voicing my opinion that it should give cash and maybe have refreshable quests is still a good suggestion How is it confusing? A "boss" or a NPC spawns somewhere and you have to do what is required to get a prize. You're probably the one confusing yourself. If you're worried that spawning Rayquaza in the middle of Viridian (for example) would be a totally random encounter, you're too much of a roleplayer. System message: "Rayquaza has gone into a frenzy and started attacking Viridian City. Help defend it" Done There is no stopping me to farm money elsewhere but did you read my full suggestion? I suggested NPC payouts to be revised if they do add these kind of ways to get cash. You're worried about balance when i actually covered it in my suggestion. IMO you're just throwing nonsense at a perfectly acceptable suggestion. Also if i were to suggest every single detail in a different topic i would fill the entire first page of this section real quick. Also, questing system is not impossible to implement, they had a similar system on the North Pole event, you had to collect items and turn them in. It's not how hard it is to implement. it is what's the best way to do so. Maybe, but for now it's ok because it is secondary imo
  12. So i know a lot of people are speculating over the addition of Dungeons to the game, like the one from the Xmas event but since no one has confirmed that and the game needs more than that i'm gonna give my suggestions. First things first, why more PvE content? - Well, the only reason you'd ask something like this is if you're a PvP player only. The PvE content after beating the story is basically non existent. Berry farming? Grind. NPC rebattling? Grind. Battle Frontier? Kinda of a grind too. - The devs have showed us that it is easy enough to please the PvP players, because they can add items as they want and it will shift the meta a little bit and give PvPers a somewhat new experience. It is different for PvE because: 1- It requires more work. 2- Some ideas might have no good way of being implemented. This is probably the reason why we are not seeing more PvE content with each update - I play PvP but i get bored of it real quickly, I'm more of a PvE player, and I'm not one of those that wants to grind endlessly. I've wasted too much time farming island NPCs for a couple of braces. This is the reason I haven't logged in for like more than a week, and I used to play this daily. "Yeah that's cute, but what do you want to suggest?" Well a couple of things, and on top of giving ideas i'll also give hints on how to actually give players a reason to play the game after beating it I'm gonna talk about it as if all of these were to happen 1- Dungeons: Everyone is talking about this and so will I. Great idea, great potencial, but can turn out to be real crappy if we don't get a reason to do them. The game should have about the same amount of dungeons as the amount of legendaries. The last part of each dungeon should be a fight against a legendary pokemon that you can actually catch and have it, but not forever. You will only have that legendary for a week, then it goes away, and you have to redo the dungeon to catch it again. Now, when you catch a legendary you can't catch any other legendary from other dungeons. You can complete the dungeons, but you can't catch them. You can only catch another legendary when the one you have leaves you after a week from catching. "OK, but how will that make players do more that 1 dungeon a week?" Weekly quests. Every dungeon should have one, with the same refresh time, or maybe different to have players logging in more times per week. Those weekly quests should replace the NPC grinding. It should award you like 50k/100k each quest (depends on the number of quests and dungeons), and because of that NPC payouts should be revised. Also each dungeon should take almost 1 hour to complete, so make them tough and interactive 2- World events: Events that don't require a mod to manage them. Like, have a mewtwo in steroids spawn in the middle of a town, and have players fight him, not for the catch (make him impossible to catch) but for the prize, make him drop an item, and maybe a few coins. Also make the "boss" only have a certain amount of lives, so if i'm the first one to beat him, he'll have 1 less life, and so forth for everyone that beats him. Of course you can't beat him more than once per spawn. This is just an example, the range of possibilities is huge here. Like one NPC that gives you a quest to battle 5 NPCs at a specific location. Even if you don't do the event on time you'll still get a bit of cash from the NPCs, so it's not a total loss. 3- Rest of Battle Frontier and other PvE content. I'm happy that contests are coming, I really liked to play them, but stuff like trick house and other places in BF need to open at some point
  13. Actually there is, didn't know about that one, thanks. Will add soon You're late, it got removed and spreaded across both regions in PokeMarts when Berry Update launched I think the swimsuit isn't buyable with cash anymore, I haven't found it anywhere and i checked every PokeMart
  14. I'm gonna try to make a good rant about this, since I've heard that this has been attempted before but to no success. So I've been talking recently with other players about the amount of pokemons that are not going to leave GTL until the end of time (If the owner never stops playing). And right now you're problably like "How is it your problem?" It isn't, but yet it is. Let me explain. Imagine this: I own a super market, I have muliple products, most of them have an expiration date, so if they expire I can no longer sell them. So I replace the expired item with a "refreshed" item. Makes sense. I place porducts for sale and I know that they have a defined expiration date. What happens in GTL is that old things are not being "refreshed", They are just sitting there. And one day GTL will have stuff that is 1 Year old. This shouldn't happen. "But why?" Well, don't despair, let me give you a few points to prove my theory - There's stuff on GTL that have been there since Christmas (GTL release). Honestly, when GTL was released, I thought the 7 day timer was a static countdown, a fixed expiration date, if that was the case the fee would be expensive but being a fixed expiration actually made sense, yet it isn't. Now you can argue that there is an expiration date, whoever places that needs to not play the game for a week. Yeah, but if that happened there wouldn't be that many stuff since Christmas there. Someone else might say that "I sold recently something that I placed on GTL months ago." That's a valid point, and I don't doubt it, but you're one in hundreds or maybe thousands. - The amount of clutter that ended up resulting on a lot of undercutting. No one is really sure how much a pokemon with no 31s is worth anymore: "Oh it should be about 2k to 7k". Nice price range LOL. This is the reason some pokemons, regardless of IVs, aren't worth jack nowadays, because ppl are selling so many of them and they keep undercutting everyone with "crappy" pokemon in the hopes that they will sell fast. Guess what, that below average *insert pokemon name* that you placed months ago for like 5k is still there, simply because the price dropped to 1.4k because it wouldn't sell. Even tho it seems really bad to lose a fee within a certain amount of time, you're exactly at the same position right now, you're still losing that fee because you didn't sell it yet. - I haven't played an MMO where their Auction House (Which is like our GTL, with Bids on the top) didn't have a fixed/static countdown for expiration. From WoW to Elder Scrolls Online and even crappy Runes of Magic. I've played a LOT of them. Even tho mods think ppl here have no idea how an MMO works I kinda have to differ, and prove my point, like I'm doing now. But for this point I don't really have to prove much. Those Auction Houses also have posting fees (Small ones but they're there), and some of them just keep their items for a few days, not even a week. And it works. "But if we do that with small fees ppl would just repost it when it ended". Yes, but maybe there's a few upsides to that. That person would probably have to cut the price a little bit, and post it again just to realise after it expires again that the item/pokemon is probably garbage, and not post it again because he is losing cash. But I'll give more details to the actual suggestion after I'm done giving details to my points - No one wants to take down the items/pokemons themselves, because it is always a lost fee. Having a fixed expiration date will make some people think twice before putting all the junk they caught in several safari runs in GTL, maybe they'll just post the ones that have like 3*25+, which are worth buying, for any player really. Now i want to give a few Pros and Cons that would end up resulting if GTL gets a fixed/static expiration date for its things Pros: - Less clutter, people would just stop trying to sell garbage or overpriced pokemon after a while. - The above also indicates that Hand-to-Hand trading would be incentivated even further for Competitive-ready pokemons mainly, and it might give the spanish/brazilians a reason to play the game again. For as much as i don't like them, the game needs players right? - The undercutting might remaing the same, but the pricing range will be more stable, because the stuff that won't sell will leave GTL. Now you can say that they might just place it again, but the thing is that they can't really place it for the same price or it won't sell and they'll end up "losing" their fee again, they'll have to undercut it, and eventually all the clutter will be at a price that might be worth buying, or some might just get released just to avoid losing more on fees. - Easier time filtering through a wider range of IVs (Very helpful for Budget breeding, and HP breeding to some extent) Cons: - Ppl crying like babies: "Muahhh! I lost 20k+ on fees because my garbage/overpriced stuff didn't sell!" (Buh-freakin-uh to these guys) - More DB entries That's it really. Now to the actual details of my suggestion: As you can predict, GTL should have a fixed expiration date from the moment the item is placed. In my opinion it should be a month , or maybe even 2 months. Most stuff i buy on GTL aren't even 2 weeks old, so i think 1 month is fair. Hell, if something isn't sold within 2 months something is very wrong with it. I don't think the fee should be any higher or any lower, most stuff that isn't overpriced sells within that time for sure. I see a valid "implementation" reason to why this shouldn't be applied, which is applying a fixed expiration date to all current sales is probably annoying work. But those are the ones that need it. Now idk how these entries are managed on the backend of things, maybe it is done so that having an item stay there forever is better for the overall state of the database (because keeping putting an item up will generate more lines, and idk how the DB handles sold and/or expired items), but should it really be like that? Also, if GTL ever gets Bidding, they will need a fixed expiration date too, otherwise it will just run forever, but in this case it can't be a month, it should be few days to a week max. EDIT: I'm gonna add something related to the suggestion. So I went ahead and tried to find where are the 1 month old GTL pokemons, starting from the first item ever placed there (Xmas 2015 - 150 days ago +/-). And after 900 clicks I got my answer. Almost 1/3 of the stuff that is in GTL is more than 1 month old, which is an even higher number than what i was expecting.
  15. TBH the name of the suggestion should be changed, because all HMs, except Flash, have easy access/trigger without going to a Pokemon's Summary. Now Field Moves are a different thing compared to HMs. Moves like Dig, Sweet Scent, Teleport, and a few others not really worthy of being mentioned. You need to go to a pokemon's Summary to trigger them, those are the ones that could use some form of Hotkey
  16. yeah i usually don't have a pokemon that i can use as a catcher, i have other utility pokes that i end up using more frequently. leaving my 2 catching smeargles on the box. I haven't caught 2 shinies but i know ppl that did and used both master balls on them. What if they find another one and they don't have a catcher on them? Right now they could only spam Ultra balls or maybe repeat balls until they catch it and still you might end up with no pokeballs at the end if that shiny has a very tight catch rate
  17. So i've been thinking about if i meet a shiny pokemon and i don't have a good way to catch it on me at that point: No False Swiper, no sleep/paralize inducer, no master balls. Picture it is a Marowak, they're kinda hard to catch while full hp and no status. What do i do here? I'll just have to let that shiny go? But they are already rare enough. I can't just let it go. This is the reason for my suggestion. If you catch a shiny with a Master Ball and if by doing so you'll no longer have any Master Balls (this "and" is because you can get 2 by playing in both regions) you'll get another Master Ball. Since this would probably trigger when you use a Master Ball, this would make ppl that already used both Master Balls go like: I used them all already, so i won't get a recycled one. Well, this is where my second part of this suggestion starts. If that "recycling" Master Balls thing gets implemented then we should also have one Vendor selling them, and make it a single purchase. What i mean by this is that the NPC would only sell you a Master Ball if you have none and it won't sell you one while you have one. It could be sold with BP, cash or both, that's not really my problem, but i think it wouldn't break the game if you make its price like 50k, no one would buy a 50k pokeball to catch non-shiny pokemon, no normal wild catch is worth that much.
  18. When i saw this post i thought it would be because of the actual reduction on active players we had the past 1 or 2 months. It is happening
  19. Yeah, the current Description is from firered. they would have to make a new string for each item. The example i have in the main post is from oras, with some consistency changes that i made, because the actual items are diferent (specs and scarf)
  20. since i was replying it only made sense to do that. i don't have the power to close this
  21. Now that you mention it, i could have made the thread about descriptions in general, and point that the 2 Deepsea item descriptions should be changed aswell, to mention that it only boosts those stats on clamperls. It's actually a fair assumption to think that it boosts SP. ATK of any pokemon, the description doesn't prove it wrong
  22. This is such a pointless discussion, if i bothered keeping track of every thread about cash i would safely say that it is about 5 per week? I see ppl that want more cash injection, i see others that just want less boring ways to farm. I mean, is there even a point to this thread? Ok, i'm just gonna give my 2 cents The economy is fine, players are the ones that are not fine. Some hog huge amounts of cash, some refuse to farm, but it's just like real life when you think about it. And society is fucked. Surprisingly enough the same phenomenon happens here. Now Devs can't do jack about that. They just can't play gods because a few newbies want things their way. They'll do things in a way that will make most ppl "happy". My point is, if you want cash do something for it, don't expect a Dev or a player to give it to you, or even do it for you. Stop being lazy. Also, think about this. If i were to give you 10m, what would you even do with it? spent it right way on pokemons? Cool, that means you can only depend on others to do something, you're too dumb or too lazy to do things for yourself. Now, the grind being boring and all is not news, so could ppl stop bringing it up every week? Players know it, Devs know it. I don't think that making countless threads about it is gonna make things happen
  23. This is an undeserved thread. They added matchmaking which is a huge update, they gave you one more reason to play the game, and now you're saying that the game is becoming boring? Pls tell me how less boring it was before this update. Don't get me wrong, there's still not enough diversity in the things you can do, but so far every update was a great improvement
