UPDATE HYPE

Ive been calling a forced-makeover since they first released the new colors and said the old ones werent gunna be available anymore. Someone in my team bought a makeover kit recently too, I told them not to but the next day it was bought. No one ever listens. o-o
  4. Chansey is easily dealt with by any faster fighting type pokemon with a STAB attack though..
  5. Well the numbers are actual usages by active members so numbers cant really lie o.o I know a couple people in my team did make comp Trapinches in response to Dugtrio becoming Uber and it looks like nearly everyone else had the same idea. Right before the ban to Uber I was thinking of making a Dugtrio myself, lol.
  6. Ah, I probably should have made it include Shadow Tag ability, or said pokemon with abilities that prevent switching in general. Though my initial reason for making the thread was learning of Trapinch's recent HUGE jump in usage because of it's arena trap ability, lol.
  7. Im curious as to the public's opinion on Arena Trap ability, as most of the users / other pokemon with abilities that prevent switching are banned to Ubers. ((this is not a thread to complain, beg or whine about game mechanics. I just wanna see what actual users think. Please dont lock this thread thinking im trying to complain and get it changed.)) I personally think its a good ability and should be allowed, because I think switching out is more abused than any single ability could ever be abused. Whats your opinion?
  8. IDK what happened but my friend's Bellossom seems to be evolving into an Entei XD
  9. It would be nice if we could search our PCs for specific egg groups of pokemon. For example: Type "field" in the search bar and all your FIELD egg group pokemon should get highlighted. Right now this only works when the pokemon's type and egg group are the same name. Like Bug and Flying, but for the rest like Field, Chaos, Monster, etc theres no way to search for these at the moment. I think this would be very helpful and save a lot of time for the average player.
  10. I didnt win a Labcoat, so, no, no I did not do well. <_<
  11. :( Too much work for an honorable mention. I feel like my quality of work for contests is going to go down dramatically.
  12. JUST BARELY DONE IN TIME!!! IGN: WolfgangDamien

13. Wow the competition this time around is good! Hope I get my entry done in time.
  14. My favorite shade of green has been removed from CC2.0 and Im not very fond of any of the other greens available on the public test server. Green is my favorite color and this is disappointing to me. :( Consider adding this shade of green back please?
  15. Im talking about the in-game items such as Retro Mail, Mech Mail, Wood mail, Orange Mail, Shadow Mail, etc. I know that you need to trade a Harbor Mail for a Coin Case in Hoenn, but as for all the other Mail items.. Do these items do anything? You can let a pokemon hold one, but you cant write anything in them. Just wondering if theres a feature I dont know about, or if maybe theres plans to integrate them into the new mailing system?
  16. IGN: WolfgangDamien I worked all month on this entry! Hope you enjoy it! :D Everything is completely original work except for a few items you'll recognize from the actual game and the NPC sprites. Guest appearances by VCO (Viper Corp) members are identified by their custom sprite work! Gym Type: Normal Gym Leader: Mad Scientist Wolfgang
Images
sprite: full body:
Backstory

Pokemon
Backstory
Sayings
Before the first match: "My hair is naturally green. It was one of my successful experiments in my youth. I regret nothing! BUAHAHA!! My name is Wolfgang, I am the Viridian City Gym Leader, but I am also a scientist! I have assembled my own team of genetically-altered super-pokemon. You may THINK a Normal-type gym sounds easy... but things are not all that they seem to be here! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~!!!! Win: "It looks as though you need to... experiment more. Bwuahahaha~!!" Awarding a Badge: " Remarkable! You're an exceptional trainer! I award your efforts with this, the Experimental Badge. It signifies a knowledge of pokemon diversity, and a willingness to experiment, both of which are required to raise the best pokemon possible. I'd also like to give you this, a Silk Scarf. It boosts the attack power of Normal-type moves. Many people underestimate the Normal type, show them how devastating their power can be by letting one of your pokemon hold this in battle! I require strong trainers for my research, please come back and allow me to test my experiments on you again!" Before a rematch: "I was hoping I'd see you again... Let me test my latest experiments on you! This match will determine if they are a success, or a failure! " Win a rematch: " Aha! My experiments are a success! Excellent! Bwuahahaaa~!!" Lose a rematch: "Hmm.. you have exploited a fault in my designs. It seems, I have more work to do.... "

Gym Badge: Experimental Badge
large, medium, and sprite sized
FIRST MATCH
Floor 1 Floor 1 explanation:
The floors have been stripped to the bare sub-floor beneath, save for a few missed tiles here and there, and most of the walls have been stripped to their insulation. Many of the entrances to interior rooms have been blocked off by dangerous holes in the floor, debris, or construction materials. To the left and right are the only rooms with clear entrances. The trainers in these rooms warn you with the following dialog: Scientist Russell: "Watch your step! Were doing construction on the Gym and its not really open to visitors yet! Theres holes in the floor everywhere. If you do fall in, theres ladders set up for your safety. " Mad Scientist Crawford: "The geometry of this place is all off. If you fall through the hole in the floor here, and take the ladder downstairs back up to this floor, you'll be in a different room! " Defeat the NPC trainers to gain access to the holes in the floor they are trying to repair. When you fall into the hole, you'll find yourself in a small room with nothing but a ladder on the Second floor. (shown on the Second Floor map as "A1 to B1" and "B1 to C1," etc. ) Take this ladder back up to the First floor and you'll find yourself to the next room over. B1 if you're on the left hand side, B2 if you're on the right hand side. Only the holes protected by NPCs will lead to the next room. Falling through a hole in the floor in a hallway will lead you straight back to the entrance of the Gym. As you did in the last room, you must defeat the NPC in order to gain access to the hole in the floor. Drop down and climb back up the ladder, you'll find yourself in the third and final room in the very back of the Gym. Again, defeat the NPC trainer there to gain access to the hole. But this time, when you drop down the hole, you find yourself in the Hallway that was obstructed from the entrance. Choosing to go backward will send you back to the entrance, so you may go down the side of the Gym you missed the first time and battle all the NPCs. Choosing to go forward will take you down to the Second Floor Laboratory.
Floor 2 Floor 2 explnation:
Finally reaching the Second Floor Laboratory, you walk out onto a balcony where you can clearly see the Gym Badge logo below you, signifying: you're almost to the Gym Leader. Down the stairs your path is blocked by a wall of strange green-liquid filled tanks, some are empty, and some have nondescript half-formed creatures inside them that may or may not be pokemon. Once passed the alien tanks, you run into two female scientists down here and one more male scientist, they must be Wolfgang's head assistants. You must defeat them in order to gain access to the Gym Leader and they are much tougher than anyone on the first floor. After defeating these three there is nothing else standing in the way between you and the Gym Leader.
Trainers:

REMATCH
Floor 1 Floor 1 explanation:
The hallways have been locked with high-tech password-protected doors. You'll need a password to open up each door. At the end of the hallway is a staircase leading down to the Second Floor Laboratory. You must defeat the NPC who knows the password to obtain it. Be warned! The trainers with the passwords are the strongest!
Floor 2 Floor 2 explanation:
Tile switches & doors: You walk out into a room full of tile switches and, again, the hallways have been locked by high-tech doors. These don't have a password and don't seem to be operated with a key either. Each tile switch opens one random door. You'll have to use good ol' trial and error to find which switches unlock the doors to the left or right hallway, as well as two more switches to open the hallway that leads deeper into the Laboratory. On either side, two of the three hallways lead to a dead-end, and some trainers are lurking in wait! Arrows: After finally finding the correct switches and hallway, you find yourself thrown immediately into another puzzle. Floor arrows obscure your path to the stairs at the end of the hallway. Navigate your way through the arrows and head to the stairway. (B1 and B2) NPCs: Next you'll find yourself in a large secondary room next to the main laboratory, filled with large strange machines and scientists doing various tasks. They'll try to stop you from entering the main laboratory and bothering the Gym Leader. Defeat them and head for the staircase. (D1 and D2) Finally, emerging from the E1 or E2 staircase, you've reached the main laboratory. The two female scientists Eve and Nicolette are still down here to prevent trainers from immediately challenging Wolfgang, but thankfully for you, Victor was relocated to the first floor as a password keeper.
Trainers:

17. Yes please <3 Cant tell you how many times I go to look up a pokemon's type in the pokedex and forget its not there.
  18. hmm.. I like both suggestions really. I have a tendancy to forget which items I have on a pokemon and lose my EXP SHARES in the PC quite often, but you can search the search bar for names of items so that helps. So auto-removing an item when it enters the PC could be a good option. But I also get the other suggestion of a menu button option rather than auto-removing from the PC because I also have comp-ready battlers I store with their particular items on, and I forget to put them *back* on a lot as well! The menu option may be the best way. Or leave it alone and dont change it at all. IDK I may not have helped at all o-o
  19. Ive had to wait over a half hour for a egg before too, with FLAME BODY, but iirc it was a longest timed tier pokemon. This is a good guide! Very helpful! Even as just an approxamation of time really helps. Are these times with or without FLAME BODY?
  20. Currently links are only clickable in Team chat, and I have quite a few friends who are in other teams they are loyal to so they dont want to join my team. Im sure other people have this problem too. It would be nice if links were clickable in whispers as well as Team chat for conversational purposes. You could make it a requirement that you must be friends to send clickable links via whisper, if there is any concern about people being spammed with links in whispers.
  21. My usual response from these people when I refer them to the current guide is that it is too long and complicated for a beginner. They do however listen to me when I take the time to explain the basics of breeding in chat. This guide is almost entirely based on questions Ive been asked daily, repeatedly, since I myself first learned how to breed over 1100 in-game hours ago.
  22. Id like to know what you were expecting, maybe I can include something in the guide about it.
  23. Well Ive had hundreds of players ask me how to breed and they dont understand the current guide. I thought a really simple guide with pictures would help these people out, because Ive pretty much been typing out everything in this guide into chat in PokeMMO for months now. Also Ive found people whove been breeding pokemon for months without braces who never knew where to buy them. Or that pokemon could even hold items during the breeding, or that breeding consumes items. Also specifically stated this is supposed to be a introduction with as basic info as possible.
