As mentioned, 'piece of earth' refers to a Hard Stone, which wild geodudes and gravelers may hold. You can use thief or capture the pokemon to get their held item. You can also get the item from other players in the GTL (or trade chat), which, in my opinion, would be best for you, seeing as you are only looking for one.

Date and Time Thursday 16th March, 9 pm GMT - 5 pm EDT Location The whole of Kanto and Hoenn (Sevii Islands included), Channel 7 Prize: 100,000 Pokeyen per round (20 rounds) Explanation The Host will hide in different places around the map each round. Once they announce they are ready to be found in Channel chat you can start searching for them. There will be 20 rounds and the first person to find the staff host and send them a trade request will win that round. The host will announce a clue word at the beginning of each round to help players find their location. Event Description Oh wow, you guys won't believe this! I just got a call from Prof. Dogwood and she said that she needs more help with finding the best pokemon for her research. I guess we have no choice but to help good ol' Dogwood. Date & Time Wednesday 8th March | 10 pm GMT - 5 pm EST Location Indigo Plateau, Channel 7 Prize 200,000 Pokeyen per Round (for the first 7 rounds) 600,000 Pokeyen for the 8th round Rules Event information will be broadcast over Channel 7 Chat. In the first 7 rounds of the event, a Pokemon's Species and Nature will be announced in Channel Chat by the event host. Players will then search for and capture a Pokemon that fits the requirements, and the first to show it in Normal chat at the event venue will receive 200,000 Pokeyen for their trouble. The 8th round will work differently from the previous ones. For this round, the event host will announce a Pokemon's species and players will have 30 minutes to catch one with the highest IVs they can find. After those 30 minutes have passed, players will have a further 10 minutes to return to the event venue and link it in normal chat. The player who submits the Pokemon with the highest IVs will win the round. Only Pokemon caught after the event host announces its species for the round will be valid. Hey! Unfortunately, the ability to delete characters isn't available in-game. However, this is not a problem seeing as you can have up to 3 characters per account and as many accounts as you'd like. I understand that the issue is because of your friend's name but sadly there is nothing we can do about that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
