  1. About Hard mode: Idk if it was the methods I used. I tried two separate methods to little success. It felt like it relied way too much on luck, if you didn't have a perfect run you were fucked, you HAD to restart. it ate up way too many consumables to be a reliable money maker, I'm pretty sure I ended up losing money that I hope I recoup in 4 years when I sell the rewards I got from it (admittedly I started actually fighting it on the last day and rushing through the whole process). And like Raichu said, it seemed to all boil down to having your very niche Assurance dark types/snarl hydreigons and your fast weezings as well as being told "ok x special on A, attack with b, spam taunt with C, oh you missed snarl, gg redo". It did not feel very interactive.
  2. 5 PP on Recover, not sure about the rest. It'd kill the viability of a good chunk of the metagame.
  3. It's a bad idea until we get Heatran.
  4. I mean we got a good amount of decent stuff, the thing is it was mostly front loaded so it kinda makes sense that the other stuff is lackluster. Kinda hoping for at least one more big addition near the end. Ideally Alakazam so offense has another catch all answer to many threats.
  5. Have all HAs been released? All we have been getting are repeats.
  6. It was perfectly balanced with it and without NP. Now it's a fucktarded RNG fest that cannot be walled, punishes mono attackers or Choice item users. Nobody likes playing against this mon at all.
  7. Devs should swallow their pride, admit they were wrong and bring back Levitate on Gengar.
  8. Just because it was something you didn't experience as you were tinkering with Weezing and Mandibuzz instead of playing offense it doesn't mean it didn't happen (it also happens to this day after SD got removed). Both aspects made the Pokemon busted.
  9. Sand Veil made chomp broken vs offense, one ice move miss from one of the few things that could outspeed it spelled doom for the offensive team. SD made it broken vs defensive teams. Quag now can handle that comfortably though.
  10. Tbh chomp's issue was that stall/defensive players had to run hot garbage like umbreon to barely check it and there was nothing else they could do. Quag covers so much for defensive teams that surely there's no complains about SD being restored.
  11. Draco Hydrei will only stop being overwhelmingly strong when we get Latios or Latias to complain about their bullshit instead lol
  12. Chomp now has to deal with Quagsire who is probably gonna become a Stall staple, I'd say test that one first.
  13. Allow me to elaborate for a minute. There's three big groups that use buffed Knock Off (I'll subdivide them into four though) One is the Dark type physical attackers. Weavile, Bisharp, Crawdaunt One is the Pokemon that use Knock Off for the sake of coverage which I'll separate into two categories: Fighting types who get almost perfect coverage with Dark Moves: Conk, Mienshao The rest: Scizor pretty much Then the last group is bulky Pokemon that really only use it to remove items and as a utility move: Tentacruel, Ferrothorn, Tangrowth (If HA comes out), Gliscor, Empoleon The first group really won't benefit much from this buff. The better BP is nice, yeah, the utility is nice but ultimately what may hold Bisharp and Weavile back a bit is the lack of the gen6 Dark type buffs making them hit Steel neutrally, something that would free up some coverage for them and allow them to spam STAB more easily. I exclude Craw from this whole "It won't benefit much" thing because it can actually hit Steel neutrally with its other STAB and can comfortably stick a much stronger Fighting coverage move in its movepool while Weavile and Bisharp can't. On top of that it seldom has any switch ins, Knock Off would get a much bigger damage boost due to Adaptability and on top of that whatever switches in would be crippled heavily by the lack of item. The fighting types in the second group would be the biggest winners. Conk has very very few switches already and being able to comfortably delete Cofagrigus or permanently cripple whatever switches in on a mispredict is beyond broken. Mienshao too to a lesser extent. Scizor won't care because Dark isn't buffed like I mentioned earlier, it'd get a better matchup against maybe bulky Waters and bulky Ghosts and that's it, it'd probably rather have CC for steels. I can see it maybe forsaking Pursuit for it thought but really it won't change it much. The last group doesn't care about the damage. Sure more damage = better and chip does add up but your Ferrothorn Knock Off's goal is to remove an item, not to deal damage.
  14. Or just don't buff it. Specially now with Craw being given its HA
  15. They said spring 2023 so you can expect it around winter of 2024
  16. I don't think we have its overworld effect, do we?

    Alpha mechanics

You forgot to list spore, false swipe, hypnosis, thunder wave, stun spore, sleep powder, glare, ice beam / ice punch (can freeze), tri attack, sturdy, damage in general, status in general, boosting, using balls and items. I really want a hardcore Alpha catching experience for real hardcore gamers
  18. Ok Can you show me several examples of this being done in tours and winning? It sounds incredibly unviable.
  19. Can you show me several examples of this being done in tours and winning? It sounds incredibly unviable. Can anyone more keen with doubles confirm if this is the case?
  20. Leave Defog interactions alone. Ban everything else. We need more ways to punish mindless Defog spam and this is one, however small, it's all in the agency of both players involved in the match and not caused due to teambuilding. I feel like this probably comes without saying but Moody should not be implemented for players even if it no longer boosts evasion. I know this seems random but I can see where the ball is headed once you listed it among the other things.
  21. I feel like the defog/Serperior interaction can be avoided simply by not blindly clicking Defog when you know a Serperior is on the opposite team. While something like Garchomp just outright punishes you for using either Hippowdon or Tyranitar, something you cannot really change in the middle of battle, and it isn't something solely limited to matchup fishing, the Garchomp user can always just run their own Tyranitar/Hippo to get this advantage. It's on the same vein as the Baton Pass ban.
  22. Since Gliscor and Chomp now have other very viable abilities I think it's time to address the elephant in the room. Sand Veil. Maybe not immediately due to the insane demand required to make every chomp rough skin. but I think it's high time we consider it getting banned.
