  1. ^ Yay!!!!!! My thread got linked :D:D:D Anyways, if the purpose of this is to scale down levels for battle frontier, we can save a lot of time and effort by simply scaling levels down to 50, rather than having to create new items and such. All the info is in the thread, and most people agree with me, we just need to catch the eye of the devs.
  2. I think it can as a vanity item, just read my above post.
  3. Coming up in the next update maybe? :P Being completely honest though, there's not much else that needs to be updated. Maybe contest halls and such, but not much else takes priorities over legendaries at this point. And maybe a scale down to level 50 in the BF as well? :D:D:D

    Quick Wishlist

Scale down to lv 50 at Battle Frontier in lv 50 mode.
  5. Agreed. Besides, doesn't is so happen that trainers in the Battle Frontier start using legendaries if your streak is long enough? I say a Tyrannitar or a Dragonite would be fair game against them. Edit: Could we get a dev's opinion about this if it's possible? :D
  6. That's arguing the competitive system entirely, which is something else that is not discussed on this thread. So are there any specific arguments as to why shouldn't scale down? The way I see it, everyone agrees, and we should simply be pushing the devs to hopefully let this happen soon, and not delay it any longer.
  7. And I agree with that, but its not like we're taking away that purpose. This would be encouraging coherence between PvP and PvE, while opening the Battle Frontier to more people. Any argument that can be made against the scaling of levels is that its the essential purpose of lv 100 Battle Frontier modes. HOWEVER we are not taking this purpose away, but as I said before, simply expanding, and making the Battle Frontier more available with the Pokémon most people already have, but are too high a level. This is a question of when, not if.
  8. Because the 'same crap' is shared by the majority of players. There is no other situation in the game where you have to worry about over-leveling. Why does this have to impede progress? Once again, by scaling down to level 50, we are encouraging competitive practice at the battle frontier. I have no idea why you would think this is a bad idea if it means more people become attracted to competitive battling, which is currently the end game. In previous threads, people agreed that scaling down to level 50 should have happened. The purpose of this thread is so that we can push for it to happen soon, preferably the next update when it may come in a month or two.
  9. Even so, you want more people to playing the game. By scaling levels down to 50, you are encouraging a wider variety of people to play the game. Plus, as I said earlier, this could be used as comp practice as well.
  10. In that case, after reading the above, I'd like to push for it to happen sooner than later. I wouldn't imagine it would take up too much time since the PvP system already works this way. All that needs to be there is the player support (purpose of the thread), and a definitive response from the Devs. Show your support everyone :D
  11. Hey everyone, Just a quick suggestion that will enable more people to play the battle frontier in whatever mode they wish. Unlike PvP battling, the battle frontier does not scale down the levels of our Pokémon to lv 50 when we wish to enter that mode, which is a massive determent to any Pokémon in the 50-60 range because they are too strong for lv 50, and too weak for open (when really its lv 100). Furthermore, it allows Pokémon like TTar, Salemance, and others that evolve past lv 50 to be used in Battle Frontier. Not to mention, this allows the battle frontier to be used as more realistic comp practice as well. Finally, by scaling the levels down, it allows more people to play the Battle Frontier how they wish, encouraging more players to try it, which is the aim of a game anyways. What do you guys think?
  12. Let me rephrase myself then. Without 4th gen Pokémon or moves, the tiers will never be truly balanced in PokeMMO.
  13. So we can start the process again properly without being caught in chain bans. Eventually, everything is going to get banned because it will have no counters once its counter has been banned. A long time down the road, UU will essentially become OU, and Ubers will be OU. The only reason Uber is gaining traction as an actual tier is because of the OU chain bans moving everything up. That is where the root of the issue lies.
  14. We've been on this topic for months now. Scizor is going to have a final decision made on it before you guys reach a decision. My input on the topic is that we need to reset the meta completely. One ban is always going to lead to another because by taking away one thing, you're taking away something's weakness, possible making it too much to handle now. We don't want to see a vigorous cycle. As a beginner comp breeder, I have had to breed 9 Pokémon, yet I don't have a proper competitive team yet because of how much the tiers are constantly changing. I'm for whatever route gives us stability.
  15. ...my name is HOV, OOOOHHH, H to the OV
  16. Hey everyone, I figured I might as well start a thread to discuss the pending decision of Scizor white it is being temporarily banned for the purposes of seeing the UU Meta without it. I want all of your opinions, how is UU doing without Scizor at the moment, and do you think Scizor will be brought back or moved up with the way things are going?
  17. You guys are all overlooking one main fact. Dark patches of grass need to be completely optional to enter, as in you can finish the entire main story without having to step in dark grass even once. We need to think about implementing that properly first.
  18. The only issue with double battle encounters in normal grass is that it makes game progress extremely difficult for new players. Imagine running into double battles on your first steps from Pallet Town. In gen 5, there was a reason the dark patches were separate from normal patches, it was to give the player the option to challenge themselves, but not make it mandatory.
  19. There actually is a precedent for this. In one of the gen vi games, we had the ability to ride select Pokémon. If we are aiming to develop the game, this would be a great addition.

    OU Xatu

How do you think Xatu would work in UU? With the recent complaints about the tier lacking diversity, what do you think Xatu could bring to the field there?
  21. How did we get from economic talk from PCs in Secret Bases. We're overcomplicating this. Its as simple as having something that can be used as a form of convenient utility, that saves you 10 seconds of time. That's all it is.
  22. As the title suggests, I'm wondering how long it takes a game master or moderator to reply to a PM on the forums. I've been waiting two days for a response and their profile page shows they've been online in that time. I don't mean this as a jab against anyone, I'm just wondering how long it usually takes for them to reply. \ Thank you :D
  23. Wild hordes were the only thing canon to Pokémon concerning hordes, and I'd like to keep it that way.
  24. I may be wrong about this, but I believe the only item your follower sprite could get was a special leaf, and if you got 5 of those you could make a crown that would count as a ribbon on your Pokémon. Even if it isn't the only think talking to your sprite can do, I remember it was one of them. I do agree that if this is implemented it makes Pickup dilatory, so here is my compromise: Talking to your follower sprite should be implemented as extra content (if other people don't want to experience it, that's their choice), and occasionally can give a leaf. If you get 5 of those leaves, we can make an NPC you go talk to, and you could make those 5 leaves into a crown as a vanity item. That way, we still stick to the game mechanic, add more content, and make sure Pickup still has relevance.
  25. I think the majority of the player base here wants to see this happen, and it really isn't exploiting anything. I'm all for it, and at this point, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be implemented.
