What nature/gender/IVs on the karp?

In this game, is the attack drop from burn negated by crits? (Or: Does a crit from a burned mon do as much damage as a crit from a non-burned one?)

I did a thing! 8D I've always wanted a mixed life orb nido and now that life ball is a thing I can finally get one, woo! Gloating aside, can anyone confirm if there is some kind of in-game dynamic that I happened to hit upon for nido gender selection, or did I just win the coin toss five times in a row?

Not yet. There was an event with Feebas a while ago (like 20...12?? I wasn't there) and people bred from that back when you could clone-breed.

I'm a huge fan of the bat and I thought a similar set running Pursuit over Sludge Bomb/Heat Wave (and Jolly over Timid) would work well. Kind of an anti-wall. Could also invest in the defences over speed, depending on what you want to fight. Toxic first turn, Super Fang once or twice and Pursuit on a predicted switch. Suddenly the defensive thing that was at 100% is now at 25% or less and toxic'd. ...Or so it worked in my head.
