Is it worth training captured lvl 3x-4x with a 29-31 IV just in case is the 31 one? Or only the 30-31 and straight 31 are the good ones?

Whismurs spawn at very low level in the Rusturf Tunnel. What about to look for something like Slowpokes as they spawn with more level and you won't have more work as you have to train the whismurs a bit to know if their IV's are good? Just got one Whismur with 21-31 in 4 stats, rolling me crazy. Talking about Monster egg group.

First of all, congratulations for this guide, I think it's very complete and useful for a "newbie in breeding" as I am. I have always been more like the 'Example Understanding' kind of person, so if you could just answer my doubt, I think I'll get all clear: I have this mareep 17/5/30/29/5/31, I don't care about the attack (5) and I'm fine with the HP(17), but I would like a 25+ Sp.Def. If I use a brace on the Speed for the next breeding (so 31 is garanteed), do I have to get a 17+/X/30/29/25+/X Ditto (for example) where X are the values I don't care (as I don't need attack and Speed will be transfered from the Mareep)? Obviously putting a Sp.Def Brace on the Ditto too. Thanks
