  1. Personally? I like it. Will it be officially supported? Considering what happened to LC, probably not. Nothing's stopping you from setting up unofficial tournaments though.
  2. Gym reruns aren't the only money-making method. People only pursue it because it gives a huge immediate payout with little effort. Since it is as popular as it is given what you have stated, wouldn't that just mean that it's fairly balanced? Yes, yes I know a lot of people don't like the long gym puzzles, but consider this: you don't have to do all the gyms. In an hour, you can do about 2/3 of all the gym leaders netting you a healthy 300k and cleaning up the other third wouldn't be worth it even if the gyms had teleporters. There simply aren't enough of them. If you have another hour to grind, you would be better off beating the rich trainers in Sinnoh or jumping on an alt and retracing the same puzzle-less route as the first hour. Also it seems part of your frustration comes from a lack of consistency on your part. As you said before, this is an activity that you repeat multiple times, so anything that that isn't 100% guaranteed to succeed is bound to fail eventually. If wide lens rock slide isn't working out for you, try something else. (Man would I like to know a solution for Cursed Body antics though...)
  3. So this will seem minor in the grand scheme of things (because it is), but could you change the duration of day and night to correspond with the change of seasons like how they did it in the original gen 5 games? It would make sense considering that the length of day and night change with seasons in real life. Also, sometimes I just feel night is way too short in-game so if I can't get a perfect 12 hour split throughout the entire year, this sounds like a fair compromise.
  4. Agreed. In fact, why stop at power plant? Make it so we can escape rope/dig out of all buildings that have wild encounters like Pokémon Tower, Pokémon Mansion, Mt. Pyre, etc.
  5. Well the immediate problem with this is that it wouldn't make sense for Porygon to be anywhere considering that it's a completely artificial pokémon, but the same could be said for Castform.
  6. Time since the last alpha seems irrelevant since all people really care about is whether or not an alpha already spawned that in-game day.
  7. Yep, would help with searching for Synchronize, Frisk, etc.
  8. Just one correction. Pokémon in the "cannot breed" egg group could not breed with anything period. Not even Ditto. This was different from genderless pokémon who actually could breed with Ditto and is where all legends and baby pokemon ended up (and Nidorina/Nidoqueen for some reason). As you can see under Bulbapedia, pokémon like Beldum didn't belong in Undiscovered, but actual egg groups like Mineral.
  9. The reason Unown can't breed is because it couldn't breed in the original games, and the reason it couldn't do it there...well probably harkening to the general rule that legendary pokemon can't breed. Now I know that Unown is technically not a legendary (hits every tick except for the part where you can get more than one of them in the same game), but several sources sort of treated them as such. So Unown sort of gets a big "kind of." The reason problem doesn't have anything to do with deciding the letter because that's decided by a random value that can easily be assigned as soon as you get the egg. But hey! Wouldn't it be really cool if you just magically caught a 6x31 Unown? Don't quit now.
  10. Quick balls are only sold in Sinnoh and Unova because they were introduced in gen 4. They're sold in any pokemart in Sinnoh I believe after getting your 4th badge and in the mall on Unova Route 9.
  11. Voted no because if they give a fixed date of what's to come well this happens. Nobody can adequately predict when something will be up and ready so there may be a slip, and then everybody's ready to come up in arms at their doorstep. Even if they managed to meet the deadline every single time though with no quality issues, wouldn't people appreciate an update more if they weren't expecting anything rather than if they knew what to expect from the get-go? I know that I personally really enjoyed when the 3rd phase of the anniversary came about and I learned right then and there not only how they chose to implement hidden abilities but that they also chose to implement assault vest. tl;dr I'd rather have a system where I can be pleasantly surprised than one where my expectations are betrayed.
  12. While I do understand your sentiment, unlike other PvP formats, Randoms doesn't require any real investment and so even when you lose, it's not really like you lost anything. Randoms is first and foremost just for fun and the rewards are merely a bonus.
  13. Yep that's how it's supposed to work here. If you want to permanently keep the item, you'll have to either catch the pokemon or use Thief/Covet. All Trick is good for is telling you that the pokemon has the item you want (Frisk does a better job of it though).
  14. Get the next gym badge. Then you'll be able to level it, and it will attempt to evolve at the next level.
  15. I just like this idea because it means your PP will drop to a flat 0 after you've exhausted all your uses regardless of how many PP Ups you use. That leftover 2 was annoying me.
  16. Surprised you don't have a mention of BW2 on the poll.
  17. Pokemon with Sheer Force only don't take life orb recoil from moves affected by the ability (weird rule I know). For example, a Sheer Force Darmanitan wouldn't take life orb recoil from a Rock Slide, but would from a Superpower.
  18. Seems like it, and I thought for sure they were coming before Johto too. Oh well.
  19. No need to worry. Berries are on pause during maintenance and fully watered afterwards.
  20. Well my guess is part 3 of the anniversary, but I would cry tears of joy if they fully implement battle frontier and pokemon contests.
  21. Well yes, it's a pokemon that happens to use its moveslots to actually cover its weaknesses. That should honestly be common sense. Did you want it to have 4 electric moves? As for how to beat it, throw away the idea of beating it with a ground type. Raichu's frail so it will die to something that hits it strong neutrally anyway, so the focus should be on getting that hit. From there, use what you know (metagaming, yeah!). You know that it *only* has 4 moves and the moves that you've listed are particularly ineffective against grass types. For a quick fix in your area, you could catch a Gloom or Treecko.
  22. Besides, good Baton Pass teams have counters for what you mentioned: Soundproof, Magic Bounce, Taunt, etc. It would just end up in a cycle of banning the things that make full baton pass teams uncompetitive until we eventually reach the conclusion that baton pass itself is the problem. Frankly, I'm happy that instead of just banning baton pass and being done with it, they allowed it to have its other niche uses like non-priority switching, passing substitutes, etc.
  23. Illegal in this case means it was never possible for Shedinja to learn those moves in the official games. Shedinja's learnset is tricky because it has its own learnset separate from Ninjask, but it can learn some Ninjask specific moves if you evolve Nincada at the level Ninjask would learn said move (Baton Pass falls under this). U-Turn however is a move that 1. Nincada can't learn and 2. Ninjask can't learn by level up, only via TM. It was a mistake to allow it to learn that.
