I caught all of them except zapdos. Haven't attempted it yet. Suicune was the hardest one. Close to 300 expert lures and several normal encounters. Entei was also difficult but I'd say around 140 expert lures. Raikou came easy with just about a 100 expert and then Articuno was over 220 and then also 25 legendary lures. If you do 100 expert lures a day you should be able to get it fast. Personally I yhink the rate is a bit more than 3k single encounters but who knows. It takes on average 15+ hours minimum in my case to get them.

Event took it's toll on me. Took me way too much time for Articuno. Didn't find any shiny even though I was 100% using charm for all encounters + I had my donator. Didn't do the event cuz I spent so much time doing articuno and when it came to having less than a day left to do event I decided nah. Not even going to bother. Personally event was Articuno for me. That's about it. Vanities were okay. Hopefully not getting the wishing stone doesn't bite me in the ass. Overall there is a reason for everything. I have an idea the chinese new years event along with anni event will bring the hype

I feel the same. I had a ton of encounters before event. (Keep in mind all my encounters are with donator and charm.) I went hard for Articuno. Did like 200 expert lures and 30-35 legendary lures before I finally got it. That's another few thousand encounters with the christmas buff. That 1/19k rate is trolling. I see a lot of people getting shinies from mysterious balls but I feel like spending 20-30mil (Fair amount to pull a shiny from them) is kinda meh unless you get a staryu, bagon or happiny and they are on the "rare spectrum". After grinding so hard for Articuno I'm judt eyeing that wishing stone thinking... I should probably do it but I am all gassed out xDD

Remember now that they are releasing a chinese new years event and a anniversary event.(Most probably) My guess is that Wishing Stone has a big roll in the next events.

@Genka is it possible to update the list with event mons. Apparently "Chinchou" believe it or not was around in 2012. I was told by a friend that he saw a 2012 Lanturn and that the guy was selling for 10mil or something. On the other hand I started collecting 2013 mons. Right now I was looking at mons like Baltoy, Shroomish, Lotad, Relicanth, Mantine among others. Also breeding only became available in 2013 so tyrogue, and other evo's are quite rare.

He had to play an average of 8 hours every day to accumulate that number if my math is correct. Crazy. I met a few players who had an insane amount of hours in 1 year, more than I have gathered in several years. The funny thing is though, after the botting update dropped I never saw them again xDD.

Yeh it's been a bad streak for me.. but I guess the fact that I do get a shiny now and then is not too bad. My recent hunts were over 60k, 10k, 28k and then the golbat was over 50k. The only thing bothering me is that the golbat was 7 encounters after Entei and I can't seem to get over it. 80k... that's rough man. Hope you get the shiny you want real soon!

Is there like a method people use? For instance do some players only start egging after reaching a certain amount of encounters? I am highly considering egging now because my last 4 hunts were terrible. Gloom, 2 Onix and then I had over 50k encounters. I got a horde of skarmory and quilava and then found entei. I went to hunt bagon afterwards. I popped a charm and then got golbat. This was literally "7" encounters after encountering Entei. So you can imagine my disappointment lol.

Quick question, about how much yen on average should a player expect to have to start egging? Like close to 100mil to have a decent chance?
