6 phases on ralts after 98k encounters. I don't think I'll keep hunting it seeing as it's now extremely rare to actually find a ralts horde. I think it's been 3 years since I've started this hunt and I've been hunting on and off because I kept phasing.

Reason why we need this /\. After 6 Beavers I'd also be disappointed.

Edit: With this update some mons are being kept in that "A bit more exclusive shiny" range, by absolutely destroying other shinies. You're going to get 5 karps, you're going to get 5 onix, your going to get 5 beavers among others before getting the shiny you want if you ever do anyways. Imo if some shinies needed to be kept exclusive then they should have never been added to hordes. With the new update I have seen players get multiple of the same shiny, investing millions on charms and donators and not hitting the shiny they want. Basically spending up to 200 hours to use 20k leppas and get 5+ of the same shiny. I understand the reasoning behind that update but tbh it just ain't cutting it. Also since implementing this change... those "more exclusive shinies".. their values are still the same. Maybe went up with a mil or 2. Supply maybe changed but demand is still the same since there still are so many on the market.

Btw I am hunting larvitar. 80k encounters. Watch me get another onix soon xDD BET

Or you guys stop bringing fake Numbers to the Table and learn to actually count encounters. In my whole 11 Years inside of this Game, Numbers above 180k never came with a prove and turned out to always be estimated Numbers and fake. Dont just listen to your stomaches pls...

I am closing in on 80k encounters all with donator and shiny charm. IIRC someone else posted that he got his shiny litwic recently at 110k+ enc with charm and donator (all encounters) as well. A friend of mine has been egging beldum for 3 years now and he is also closing in on 180k eggs....(although he is not using charms or donators). I would not put 300k out of the question. Possible but not likely. If it is the case for this guy... I would have deleted the character a long time ago. Cursed 4life.

Nope, the chances are around 1/30k all the time, the chances can be increased with donator status and shiny charms, i believe it's 10% per item so its like 1/27k if u have one of those or around 1/24k if u have both. They are consumable so it's not a forever buff, shiny charms last 1h each and donator has 3 options: 7 days, 15 days and 30 days.

Each encounter has that rate, so if u seach for shinys in hordes it has the same chance but ur saving time bc ur looking at 5 possible shinies at once if the horde has 5 pokemon.

He is giving a suggestion, not asking how the shiny rate works. Quite an interesting suggestion although it will most definitely cripple the shiny market. If something like this is ever implemented then it should not count towards eggs and rather only towards wild encounters. (Hordes excluded).  Something like each 5 pokemon encountered of the same species (single encounters) will bring the shiny rate down from 1/30000 to 1/29999 for the specific pokemon. Not a ridiculous suggestion imo. This being said you'd have to enncounter 150k wild quilavas in order to guarantee a shiny one if of course RNG doesn't favor you by getting one in less encounters.

yeah i hope there is middle way to resolve banned account like penalty of rolling back all the changes, and last warning before got suspended (yes my account is suspended), imagine because all hours playtime sweat and tears means nothing with one accusation sentence, as you can see ive been playing more than 3k++ hours that time (before ban i remember it passes 4k+ hours). there is a friend of mine who got banned not proven guilty doing rmt just because he trading to another alts of his farming accounts.

Staff don't ban accounts based off an accusation. If your account was terminated there was most definitely evidence or enough proof to justify the ban. They also won't reveal to you the evidence they gathered that got you banned as that would give you sensitive information on how they caught you and then you could always bypass that by being informed. You can't appeal again if your appeal was rejected so your odds of getting your account back is slim to none. Also... remember that once you appealed, it was your responsibility to explain to them the situation or what you believe might have led to the ban and of course prove your innocence. That's about it. Sorry for your loss.

Are there any exceptions to banned players from before cos the guy I want the nick of (Pouf) I can send mail to him but I'm 99% sure he hasn't been active for years and it shouldn't be possible to send mail to these players. So my guess is that they got banned a long time ago but somehow the nick didn't free itself and even bypassed the inactive status.

If his account still exists you won't get the name. They deleted characters that met all of these conditions:

    • Not online for at least 6 months
    • Less than 6 hours' played time
    • Less than $25,000 money
    • Have no shinies on the character
    • Have no party members level 50 or higher
    • Account has not ever donated

IF one of these conditions were not met then the players character would have survived the wipe. Good luck next time buddy.

its been a while since i check this forum/game again, i played since 2013 and experienced the fun exploitations of old breeding system before the parents gone and mixed into the new egg system. I dont know if u guys still remember me or not
My account was banned since 2018 (accused RMT), and did appeal that time but got rejected. i wonder if i can start over again as casual player but its lazy to start from zero again because the storyline NPC AI and difficulties (max obedience) are more "challenging" than old times (i know the reason of this change its because of alt accounts exploitation), which drop my will to comeback.

The reason why i want to comeback is my friends, i want to meet them again and having fun making internal events like HAS(Hide and Seek) etc, chatting, bring back the old memories.

I want to comeback but ive lost my will to start over again with struggles clearing all stories, unless either there is a way to retrieve back my old account which probably imposible. Or maybe i would ask if a friend of mine could help me lend pokemons for storyline if that still doable (well i think not).

    Hi and welcome back!

Unfortunately if your appeal has been rejected there is nothing you can do and your account will stay banned. You'd have to start over.

Hey! One option you might want to explore is creating and selling digital artwork or designs. It's a growing market with plenty of potential. Also, if you're interested in making money from home, there are various side hustles you can try. I've found success in freelancing or starting an online business.

My guy... you're completely missing the topic here. He is talking about the game. Take your real life stories and go away. We live in the pixel world here. :^)

If u have any vanity, item or pokemon with particle that raises its value through time then ur chances to encounter a shiny get low.

Economy logarithms work that way, which explains new ip accounts gets shinies quicker than old..

Now, forget what i said above, shiny rate is FAIR to all accounts

If the location has 2 hordes with 70/30% and the desired one is the 30% one then the average number of mons of that type that you would see in 6 hordes would be 6x5x0,3=9.

If the same location had those same hordes with 50/50 % but the hordes were of 3 then the number would be 6x3x0,5=9.

The desired mon would have the same rate in both situations.

Great post. You can't determine it like this because it does not work that way. You can encounter 10 hordes and not encounter 1 horde with the rarer species. See it this way... the more encounters you do the more likely you will eventually encounter a shiny. Now that being said... it works the same way with the encounters. The more onix hordes you encounter as opposed to larvitar.. the more likely you'll be to end up with shiny onix. With hordes of 3 at 50% you'll most probably have to encounter a lot more hordes but you'd have a way better chance to get larvitar compared to the 70/30 ratio. It's not the same.

Edit: Unless I am mistaken and don't understand what you mean but this is my input on it. Maybe it would make more sense if they implement 3 different hordes at 33.33%. That being said, your chance of encounter the desired mon would be less than 1/3 but still better than the current chance.

  10. Great suggestion! Would make a fine addition honestly. This is a necessity. Although it might a bit of admin work on a regular bases as encounters change etc but this should be implemented.

  11. Regarding the update last year october, I am certain the majority of us are aware of the changes that were made for hordes. It's been a few months and I haven't seen anyone really talking about it anymore. The update decreased the rate of certain horde-species. Example, hordes were based at 50%. If there are 2 hordes in a location, the player always had a 50/50 chance to encounter either of them. Now the change affects the Rare species giving it a lower encounter rate as oppose to the latter and that I agree with as it keeps a bit of exclusivity for those certain mons. Basically some hordes probably have a 70-30% difference. (not entirely sure what the % are but close enough. Examples are like dratini with magikarp, Larvitar with onix and a few others with better percentages. My suggestion is that maybe we can rotate / exchange the higher percentage hordes with other mons every month. Same concept as the legendaries. This will of course prevent you from getting 5 onix or 5 magikarps and rather a few onix and few magikarps and other species before actually hitting the desired one. It's kind of Brutal... to say the least if you encounter 5+ of the same shinies due to the big difference in the rates. As far as I know Rachel might have mentioned something similar to this but I can't remember. Is there any suggestions you guys can give on how we can better this system and of course still keep the exclusivity of the rarer mons? If rotations are in the works.. when can we expect to see them? Don't crucify me.. just a suggestion and something I am really curious about. Have a great day!
