That's not true, some pokemons are incredibly good in 1vs1 and others are not. It's still gambling but not 50/50 because the goal here is to boost your chances by running an interesting 1vs1 pokemon. The other goal is having fun but not sure that you will understand this one...

Then you did'nt understood what I try to explain you because the Ditto you are looking for is better than what you really want, it reduce your chances to find it for absolutely no reason unless the fact that you don't really understand the breeding mechanics...

Firstly, you can stop searching such a Ditto because nobody got one even close to that. Furthermore, there is no use of a 5 IVs + nature ditto unless you want to breed a 6 IVs nature comp but in this case you say that it's for an adamant Metagross so you need only 5 IVs, then, you must looking for a 4 IVs + nature Ditto, very rare but realistic.
