  1. I got disconnected for being AFK at around wave 21. I didn't get any rewards. I don't know if that was intended, but I just thought I would let people know.
  2. What pisses me off the most is not the pp nerf itself. I haven't played gen 9, so I will choose to remain open minded. I'm upset because they didn't do anything about regenerator making duels very long and made regenerator more valuable too. Please explain to me how Mienshao AV + Amoongus Regen Cores are going to now break each other faster thanks to that PP nerf. They don't even use these moves. Duels that were lasting 1h are still going to last 1h. When stall players face each other, their recovery moves are barely used. Blissey doesn't need to use Softboiled when switching into another Blissey. The duels affected by this change is when Stall/Balance face Offense. Those duels will be shorter, but they never came close to going over 1 hour. Overall, this change fixes nothing. So thanks for nothing.
  3. Thanks for making Regenerator even more valuable than it already was. That's definetly what we needed... Seriously, was it really that hard to engage with the community to discuss potential solutions? You guys just made everything worse without bothering to ask for any input whatsoever. What's the point of these discussions threads if you clearly don't care about what any of us have to say?
  4. @Munya It's has been several weeks now. Last week, you said some of the issues I brought up were still being discussed. What's taking so long? Why is everything being discussed behind closed doors? Did the detailed example I gave help clarify any confusion regarding the wrong assumption that desyncrhonisation would mean seasons don't occur at the same time?
  5. LC has several dmg rolls bugs that have never been fixed. This looks like one of them. The conspiracy theorist in me like to believe LC is no longer an official tier because of these bugs xD
  6. @Munya, thanks for your answers. I'm glad these points are being discussed. Regarding point #2 about cut-off points and desyncrhonization, I would to clarify that it's possible to have desyncrhonization without affecting seasons. Let me detail the previous example I gave in order to clarify what I meant: Season (January / February / March) In the previous example, seasons still start at the same time and end at the same time even regardless of the followin changes: Cutoff points changes Move Up Cutoff point From: 6.7% on movement averse months and 4.36% on movement seeking months. To: 6.5% on movement averse months and 5% on movement seeking months. Move Down Cutoff point From: 1.7% on movement averse months and 4.36% on movement seeking months. To: 2% on movement averse months and 3.5% on movement seeking months. The main difference regarding cutoff points changes is that the move down and move up cutoff points would no longer match on movement seeking months. Desynchronization From: OU/UU Movement Averse Months matching with UU/NU Movement Averse Months. To: OU/UU Movement Averse Months matchking with UU/NU Movement Seeking Months. The main difference is that when it is more likely to see movements in OU/UU this means it will be less likely to see movements in UU/NU and vice versa. Seasons would still occur at the same time.
  7. @Munya, you are replying to other threads on the forum, but you are blatantly ignoring me. What will it take to get an answer? Do I need to have people sign a petition in order for my concerns to be taken seriously? I don't get it. You unleash the most unhealthy feature for competitive battling despite being warned of what would happen and now you are choosing to pretend like nothing is wrong. Please say something. Please do something. These problems are not going to magically go away no matter how long you wait or choose to ignore them.
  8. @Munya I would like an answer for the following three questions: What is the specific justification for Dugtrio being banned in UU and not OU? What is the opinion of TC on my suggestion to change the cut-off points? What is TC's plan regarding our horrific OU metagame?
  9. @caioxlive13 stop quoting me. My posts have nothing to do with your Cosmic Power Clefable or w.e scream you made. My position on the 1 hour time limit has never changed. My position on Regen mons in combination with the 1 hour time limit has also never changed. Reaching the 1 hour time limit has never really been difficult, but now it's just riddiculously easy. You don't need 6 chanseys. Mienshao by itself was already able to stall out teams for ages. With Amoongus on top of Mienshao, it has become insanely difficult for stall players, semi stall player and balance players to achieve anything in only 1 hour against cores that take way longer to break through. Something must be done because it's not competitive to just play passive agressive regen cores and wait for the 1 hour time mark knowing damn well that regen cores are at a huge advantage.
  10. Probably the worst OU metagame in many years. Please do something @TC
  11. @Munya @TC The recent addition of Regenerator on Amoongus has severely increased the amount of abuse of the 1 hour time limit clause. Would it be possible to ask TC to amend the 1 hour time limit clause? Imo, a simple solution would be to not take into account Regenerator mons when the timer reaches 1 hour. For instance, if player A is stalling with 4 mons and player B is stalling with 5 mons (including 2 regenerator mons), player A should be the winner because, if we don't consider regenerator mons, player A is stalling with 4 mons and player B is stalling with 3 mons. I believe this would be fair since player B by playing 2 regenerator mons is forcing the duel to last longer and therefore should be penalized for doing so. It's insanely easy to stall for hours with multiple Regenerator mons and this should be consider an exploit.

  14. Every year we get 3/4 PVE events (Lunar Festival Event / PokeMMO Anniversary Event / Halloween Event / Holiday Event). These events are usually very well received by the player base. I was wondering if staff/devs would be interested in organizing PVP events. I'm not talking about big tournaments or championships. I'm thinking that opening up a temporary ladder for gimmick formats could be a very fun way to spice things up for PVP players. It wouldn't be much different from PVE events. Instead of entering an elfbot dungeon or beating up npc kids for candies, players would simply have temporary access to a new ladder. Casual rewards for laddering and exclusive rewards for leaderboard achivements would imo be a recipe for success. For instance, for the month of March when there are usually no planned event, devs could open up for a limited amount of time a Little Cup Ladder or a Monotype Ladder. I know a lot of players would really like the chance to give these formats a try. Since the implementation of Random Battles, the PVP competitive scene has taken a big hit and lower tiers are struggling to built up their old player base. A PVP laddering event could introduce new players to laddering and perhaps this could get them to take a liking to laddering in general. On top of that, PvP events would be a great way for devs to support the unofficial tiers of PokeMMO without having to give them their seal of approval and all the extra work that comes with that. No need for tiering, no need for sophisticated meta analysis, no need for fair tournament representation for all official tiers, we are talking about a formats that would come and go. If these PVP formats suck, that's fine, we won't see them again. If these formats are succesful, then perhaps this could lead to something more in the future? I could be wrong, but since there is already a laddering infrastructure in place, I don't think organizing PVP Events would be a big commitment or would require a lot of efforts. Anyhow, food for thoughts...
  15. @KaynineXLforcing everyone to use Night Mode Theme on the forum xD
  16. Yes, very true. Based on what you just said, I would like to also wish an Happy New Year to my good friend @DoubleJ.
  17. Based on the quoting you for no apparent reason precedent, I would like to quote you @xStarr in order to wish @caioxlive13 an Happy New Year with Electrode in NU.
  18. There is no actual definition of pay to win. It's a gaming concept and Urban Dictionary is litteraly the first thing that appears on Google when you type it. I'm entitled to my opinion on the matter and I don't know why you would think you are the authority on what defines pay to win and what does not. I apologize if I sound smart, I didn't mean to make you feel belittled.
  19. Urban Dictionary Definition of Pay to Win: For 1) Does PokeMMO allow players to pay in order to get better Pokemons at a faster rate? Yes, absolutely. In order to get a 5x31 Competitive Mon, it takes several hours farming, grinding and breeding. With your credit card, you can purchase Reward Points, sell those on the GTL and then buy any Competitive Mon you want in a couple of minutes. There is no question that the PokeMMO players that pay will be advtanged over the ones that do not pay. For 2) Is the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying? Yes the game is unbalanced, but not because some players are paying and others are not. The game is unbalanced because it's an MMO. A player that farms and grinds will have the resources to compete. A player that doesn't farm or grind won't have the resources to compete. Skills are secondary to grinding in this game and that's how it is for any MMO. These games are by design competitively unbalanced since skills are the secondary factor when determining who will win. My point is that, since PokeMMO respects the first Pay to Win criteria, but not the second one, this means imo that PokeMMO is partially a Pay to Win game.
  20. Valuing usage on high ladder has been suggested several times already. It's nothing new, but since it's entirely out of our hands, we can't do anything about it. What I am suggesting doesn't require any work from devs or staff. It's a simple decision that has to be made by TC and that's it.
  21. Please implement this for 2023 usage movements. @TC
  22. Just drop Electrode already. It's enough of a joke already that this trash mon ever got banned in the first place.
