maybe I should have just let you get banished from TC forever then

    Also side note:

I swear I knew probability when we learned it in like 10th grade of high school, anyways a 3.7% error is fine for day to day living in my books.

I know man. It's called tough love, I truly appreciate what you did. Was just joking ^^

I don't think he ever denied it. I think his problem was on the competitive aspect of the decision

If he doesn't deny it, Zebra was right to assume what Kimi's odds of winning were and therefore Riga's argument about not being able to determine anything with certainty gets disassembled.

People that want Chimecho banned are just bad NU players

Or maybe they realised that Chimecho is actually ridiculously close to fitting defensive/support uber characteristics. With a good ability, great defensive and offensive stats, access to recover, CM and Heal Bell, Chimecho is nearly impossible to punish without a lot of scouting and a good matchup. It ain't vulnerable to spikes, so you can't really pressure it with constant switches. Nearly nothing that ain't banded can 2hko it. Its best counter Murkrow is quite awful. It's not as bad as being forced to play Hitmontop in OU if Ttar was OU, but we aren't that far from that.

I understand my decision may have not been popular, but I still believe it was still fair to both individuals. At the time of the server shutdown, the odds were roughly 75% in favor of NikhilR and 25% in Kimikozen (roughly 4 chances to get a crit on clefable) (actually in the recreated replay, Kimikozen had 5 chances to get a crit, boosting his odds to 31.25%). The recreated replay kept these odds fairly decently, potentially skewed against kimi slightly since raikou may have had 1 extra chance to get a crit, but a crit from raikou would have only mattered if raikou got back to back crits on clefable, which is a low .39% chance

A match reset with new matchups is essentially in favor of Kimikozen who gains a 19.75% advantage for free based on a fluke (assuming they both have equal odds of winning with a new matchup anyways).

The whole incident is quite rare and probably won't come up again, but hopefully people understand my reasoning for this decision.

That's what bothering me the most. Why was a shit replication of the duel necessary when you can simply calc the odds of Nik winning and generate a random number reflecting that probability? The replication was stupid and made no sense, especially since both players could have easily cheated.

  5. Zebra had really little time to handle the situation, so it's not surprising that many of us are upset with the rushed decision he made. It's over now tho, but a similar situation could happen again and it is probably best that we discuss what should be done next time.
