That is a valid concern though. Anyone can make up some bullshit about themselves to win, and it can't really be proven to be a lie, and likewise someone could be totally honest about why they should win, and it can't be proven that they're being honest \o/

It's unfortunate that this event is taking place on facebook. I don't use facebook for privacy and social reasons. I also dont appreciate the egocentric nature of both twitter and facebook. It's not really fair to be ostracized from an event like this because I don't use a questionable website that data mines personal information and is known to sell that data.
I know I might not necessarily be "the" player of the month. But i should be allowed to enter and have an equal chance just like everyone else.
Maybe instead of farming facebook likes we could do a similar thing right here on the forums.
I completely agree with Xatu.
Facebook is, and pretty much always has been, in my opinion garbage. Players should not be forced to use a third party website to participate in an official PokeMMO event, when the same effect could be achieved right here on the forums in this thread. All the event really requires is that you have an In Game account, and to write a short description as to why x player feels they should be Player of the Month, which doesn't require Facebook in any way.
So lets all recognize this for what it is: An attempt to spread the PokeMMO Facebook page(Which is fine, because I legitimately didn't even know that we had one), as well as collect likes/comments.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that's bad. Attention whoring via giveaways and events has always been a legitimate business strategy on Social Media, but it would be better to have the event on the forums(Where moderators can see the IPs of players/Total Play Time, to ensure they're not using multiple Facebook accounts to boost their odds).
The event itself is really cool though, I love the concept, but I could live in a perfect utopia and I'd still find something to complain about.make a fake account?

I don't think I opened this game at all for the entire year of 2015, and now it looks to be "updating" forever. That's cool.
You're very rude, and you sound like you have a false sense of entitlement. Typically I welcome people to the game, because it's cool to see new faces, but I don't think you'd really be welcome here.
As for your problem, it's probably your internet connection. I didn't update the game for ages and it still finished updating in under 10 minutes. Check your internet connection, restart your router etc. -

I'm playing Fallout 4 right now. Decent game, but I legitimately cringe at the weapon design. It makes me miss New Vegas, and I actually have a newfound appreciation for NV now.

I've tried playing PokeMMO with just an Xbox controller, it's fucking awful.
The game would also require a keyboard to be plugged into the Ps4/Xbox since typing with the controller would be really slow, and completely ruin the social experience.
The great thing about PC though is that you can just plug a gamepad into your PC, and with some tweaking and googling play PokeMMO with it, and when the gamepad falls short(Typing/Mouse stuff) you can always just use the keyboard/mouse that's already plugged into your PC. -

In all seriousness it's actually not a bad idea. The OSBuddy client for OSRS had one and it was infinitely useful because I always had the notepad in the client. Whenever I started the game, it would open the notepad in the sidebar as opposed to me having to navigate to where the .txt was, open it, edit it, and minimize/maximize the window all the time.
Little conveniences add up to a better game.

Op, good idea. If it makes EV training easier(Allowing for two kills in one battle = more EVs per battle) then it'd be a great addition to the game. -

tfw I tried RMTing with a GM, multiple Globals and CMs, sent in a player report admitting to RMT, AND I was advertising PRO via a signature and all I got was a 2 week ban and 2 warning points.
I'm not saying our SGMs made a shit decision, but I'm pretty sure they're only not banning me because I've made it very clear that I want to be banned so I can be done with this game.(I don't have the willpower to just quit, yeah I'm fucking weak)

PkeM has been home for a long time now. I've been with you guys pretty much since the start of the team I believe, and never in all this time have I found a more encouraging, accepting and kind group of people. Even when I turned my back on you guys and the team, and treated you like shit, you guys still forgave me and welcomed me back with open arms, multiple times.
PkeM and the people in this team have helped me through some incredibly difficult times in my life, and I can never thank you guys enough for the support you've given me.
I wanted this to be a super meaningful goodbye before I go rip, but honestly it just sounds like overdramatic bullshit. I meant every word I said though, and I love you all. This doesn't just apply to PkeM though, this applies to all the friends I met in PokeMMO. This community, while toxic and cancerous at times, has some of the most kind and interesting people I have, and ever will meet. I'm going to miss you all.
Unfortunately I feel burdened by the mistakes I've made. I can't carry this around with me forever, so I'm trying to let go and move on with my life. I can never really make up for the mistakes I've made, and I apologize to all the people who have been affected negatively by my mistakes.

I remember talking with someone a while back about this and it was suggested that it be advertised in the login message.
Just a short two lines that shows up in the chat box whenever you first login which mentions the Forums and/or Teamspeak would probably bring a lot more people there. If nothing else, it lets users know that we do have a forum board/Teamspeak.- Bestfriends, SirAlbert and Arimanius

Yes, however because you're breeding Parent A with Parent B, you get Child A. Child A is neither of the parents, so technically it's not the same Pokemon, making it impossible to obtain Egg Moves on Parent A/B(Excluding moves that are able to be learned via TM) after they've been removed, which is why they're added to the Move Relearner.
A quote from the Move Reminder's Bulbapedia page:
Reasons for this include none of that species being able to be obtained at an early enough level to actually learn the move (e.g. Zapdos and AncientPower in Generation IV), or the species having more than four starting moves (e.g. Kecleon).
This seems to imply that the intention of the NPC was in fact to make unobtainable moves obtainable again.
I don't disagree with you, I'd like to see this suggestion implemented too, but since they are able to be learned from the BP tutor, I don't think adding their moves to the Move Relearner fits with the intended purpose of the NPC. Lore is also important when making an MMO.
I also don't disagree with your remark about taking a lot of time. BP is much easier and more fun to get now than it used to be though. I think a better solution would be a discount service added to the BP tutor, where you get a discount for buying a move a second time, but that's just like, my opinion man. Perhaps even lowering the BP cost of outrageously expensive moves(Iirc Surf on Pikachu is 25k(?)). -

Not a bad idea, although I feel like the intention of the Move Relearner was to give access to moves that are completely unobtainable in certain situations(Leveled up a Pokemon too much, eggmoves being replaced etc.). Given that BP moves are able to be relearned elsewhere, they might not fit what the intended purpose of the Move Relearner was.

I'm kind of new to Pokemon and I thought of this idea of traveling through the game together, kinda like the show. :D I'm starting the game on Friday.
Requirements:
1. We must start at the same time
2. Speak English
3. Must begin in Kanto
4. We must all choose the different starters (We will decide on that when the time comes)
5. If you get ahead, you must wait for everyone else to catch up
6. Max of 3 people (Including me)
7. Once I get enough money, I'll create a team for us

This is a pretty awesome idea and sounds fun. If I remember to, I'll crawl out of my grave and join you guys, but don't count on it.
