You're very rude, and you sound like you have a false sense of entitlement. Typically I welcome people to the game, because it's cool to see new faces, but I don't think you'd really be welcome here. As for your problem, it's probably your internet connection. I didn't update the game for ages and it still finished updating in under 10 minutes. Check your internet connection, restart your router etc.
2. I've tried playing PokeMMO with just an Xbox controller, it's fucking awful. The game would also require a keyboard to be plugged into the Ps4/Xbox since typing with the controller would be really slow, and completely ruin the social experience. The great thing about PC though is that you can just plug a gamepad into your PC, and with some tweaking and googling play PokeMMO with it, and when the gamepad falls short(Typing/Mouse stuff) you can always just use the keyboard/mouse that's already plugged into your PC.
3.

Problem solved, use Linux In all seriousness it's actually not a bad idea. The OSBuddy client for OSRS had one and it was infinitely useful because I always had the notepad in the client. Whenever I started the game, it would open the notepad in the sidebar as opposed to me having to navigate to where the .txt was, open it, edit it, and minimize/maximize the window all the time. Little conveniences add up to a better game.
4. Akshit, don't you think you're being a bit optimistic there? Edit: Op, good idea. If it makes EV training easier(Allowing for two kills in one battle = more EVs per battle) then it'd be a great addition to the game.
5. Malorne stop. You're supposed to be dead I missed you bby
6. I remember talking with someone a while back about this and it was suggested that it be advertised in the login message. Just a short two lines that shows up in the chat box whenever you first login which mentions the Forums and/or Teamspeak would probably bring a lot more people there. If nothing else, it lets users know that we do have a forum board/Teamspeak.
7. Yes, however because you're breeding Parent A with Parent B, you get Child A. Child A is neither of the parents, so technically it's not the same Pokemon, making it impossible to obtain Egg Moves on Parent A/B(Excluding moves that are able to be learned via TM) after they've been removed, which is why they're added to the Move Relearner. A quote from the Move Reminder's Bulbapedia page: This seems to imply that the intention of the NPC was in fact to make unobtainable moves obtainable again. I don't disagree with you, I'd like to see this suggestion implemented too, but since they are able to be learned from the BP tutor, I don't think adding their moves to the Move Relearner fits with the intended purpose of the NPC. Lore is also important when making an MMO. I also don't disagree with your remark about taking a lot of time. BP is much easier and more fun to get now than it used to be though. I think a better solution would be a discount service added to the BP tutor, where you get a discount for buying a move a second time, but that's just like, my opinion man. Perhaps even lowering the BP cost of outrageously expensive moves(Iirc Surf on Pikachu is 25k(?)).

wtf forfi, that's beautiful. How could you not love that face?
11. Not a bad idea, although I feel like the intention of the Move Relearner was to give access to moves that are completely unobtainable in certain situations(Leveled up a Pokemon too much, eggmoves being replaced etc.). Given that BP moves are able to be relearned elsewhere, they might not fit what the intended purpose of the Move Relearner was. Still would be nice regardless.
12. This is a pretty awesome idea and sounds fun. If I remember to, I'll crawl out of my grave and join you guys, but don't count on it. Regardless, I wish you guys the best of RNG. Maybe your adventure be a fun one. Protip: DO NOT PICK CHARMANDER AS A STARTER

14. Damn, this is a really interesting event. I might stick around just to see the submissions, art contests usually have the most positive community from what I've seen. Also, on a somewhat unrelated note: Pereiraa, I think you're doing a pretty good job as staff. I like you. Edit: Shame we won't be seeing any Pidgey art though.
15. Runescape is a convenient bridge to make connections since most people have had experienced with it and it allows for easier understanding of concepts. Or at least that's my excuse for using it so much. In reality it's the only MMO I've played for more than a week, and it's good for stealing ideas from :^)
16. Here's where I see a huge flaw. New users typically don't read over the rules. Hell I had never even read them until I joined staff and needed to know them(Mind you I never got a mute before either, so take what you will from this) and so things like trading in the wrong channel, and other rules, the player may simply not know when they've just started the game. The last thing you want new players to feel like when playing your game is "Shit, now I have to pay off this fine and I can't even afford Pokeballs!". This is a good way to kill off a new players interest. This could be avoided if the fine was only used when the user hits a higher number of offences, but then again I think the threat of having your account temporarily banned, or permanently closed(And losing everything) is a much scarier punishment than having to shell out a few bucks.
17. I can honestly see where this idea is coming from though. In my youthful days of Runescaping I would often say stupid shit in the Varrock West Bank and get muted. Eventually I'd get bored of standing around while muted, so I'd go off and do something like kill a boss or skill. After a while I stopped caring when I got muted, but then my mutes racked up and I started to see that my account was getting closer to a more serious punishment. If they fined me 100k every time I got muted, I probably only would have done it 2-3 times. I still think that a mute is plenty to do the job here though, and there are still flaws with the suggestion you proposed that make it not worth implementing. Edit: Then again this is an invalid example since in Runescape it was either socialize or train skills/boss/do other things, whereas in PokeMMO socializing is one of the main things that makes it fun and you can do that anywhere. That being said, mutes carry more weight here and strengthen my argument that a mute is enough
18. There's nothing really wrong with the current system. I believe punishments get greater the more offences a player has. If a mute or temp ban isn't enough, it's unlikely that a small fine will do much more. On top of that, the real world example of DWI also has various other factors that make people want to avoid that kind of situation in the first place.(Things like criminal records, social repercussions, etc.) Things that carry more weight in the real world than they do here. This system would also need to scale with the amount of wealth a player has, since richer players simply wont care if they get a small fine, and determining wealth is impossible since we have things like shinies and comps. Also there will be some players who don't have any money, and they'll get off without a fine so this system only really punishes the middle class who have little enough money for a fine to matter, but not so little that they can just get like a 1 yen fine. Also this would take money out of the game, and honestly that's not something we need right now imo.
19. Let me know if you run out of notebooks and need to borrow a few
20. I thought he was kidding with but I think he's genuinely serious. I used to wonder why every time lyle was brought up in conversation someone would say "Yeah, they're good at competitive play but most of them are complete assholes", but now I understand. When your leader publicly acts like an egotistical dick it kinda makes the whole team look bad. It's sad that the team gets such a bad wrap too, because I like some of the players there like Kaynine and Goldeneyes(And others I've neglected to mention)
21. There's an option to make temporary chat channels. The argument could be made that not everyone can/wants to use Teamspeak, which is a totally valid argument so I won't really argue about Teamspeak vs OPs suggestion. To make an argument in favor of the suggestion, other games that I've played have had a Clan/Guild chat(Equivalent of a team chat), and a Friends Chat. Going by the Runescape Friends Chat system, it's basically a chat where you type in a players name to join a person's FC. While the FC can have restrictions in place(Friends only or open to all players, blocked users not being able to join etc.) generally they're just a "Come and go as you please chat." Since our Team Chats function more like a Clan/Guild chat(You have to be invited to join), an extra chat where you can just drop in without an invite would be nice. I myself have hopped through most of the big name teams and I find it hard to settle in one because I've got friends in every team I've joined. A 'Friends Chat' system where people can join without having to have any commitment like leaving their team to join a new one would be convenient, because then I could be in a team, but also be in a Friends Chat with all my other friends. If this kind of system is what OP was envisioning when he made the thread, I'm not really against the suggestion, but I feel there are bigger economical and gameplay related things that should be done first. EDIT: Yeah so the Friends Chat system isn't exactly what OP was asking for, but could be made to have an 'Invite Only' or 'Friends Only' option. Regardless, OP already has a few choices: Finding a house that nobody uses, and then use that for private conversation. Switching to something like Channel 6, where nobody ever goes and using the channel chat there. The best option would probably be a private Teamspeak channel. TS isn't hard to set up or learn how to use.
22. Just as an added note: Teamspeak gives us this functionality. Create a new private channel -> give password only to your group that you want in there.
23. I support this suggestion so much, whenever I log on I'm gonna send OP 5 mails instead of just 1 to tell him how cool of a suggestion this is. #5k4mail
24. Always sad to see someone leave the community, but if that's your choice then there's nothing any of us can do to convince you to stay. Farewell.
25. I think the idea is great. The main problem I can see is Official/Unofficial events. To elaborate, a lot of people show up to events just to watch. With a 'Private Battle' system in place, all these people are screwed so the crowds for official events would probably consist of only people battling and their teamates. On top of that, the hosts and refs of both official and unofficial events need to spectate a match to see if all the clauses are correct and ensure nobodies doing anything cheeky. I suppose that the host could enforce 'Private Mode Off' which would fix this though, in which case I really support this suggestion. It's happened to me in the past that I would battle someone in vermilion, win or lose, then a guy would challenge me not long after with a perfect counter team. Scouting, as pointed out, discourages battling for practice in populated areas like Vermilion, and PvP is one of our most fun pieces of gameplay. I do think that when this private mode is turned on, the ball above somebodies head should be a different color(So that you don't have to click 10 different people at random until you find a match you can spectate). I'd also worry that finding a battle to watch for entertainment in Vermilion would become harder. Edit: btw I haven't read the full thread yet. I just woke up and need a shower first
