  1. Thank you for the data samples and communication, its nice to see some behind the scenes info unto what happens revolving shiny since otherwise we have to rely on observational bias. People are always gonna be salty tho unfortunately...

Oh, and the rate has never been confirmed but staff have mentioned your rate fluctuates depending on what you are doing so grinding in the same spot for hours for a magikarp PROBABLY (unconfirmed) lowers your rate Good luck mate, people tend to estimate the chance to be less than 1/30,000 so good luck.
  3. Remember to grab your amulet coin early, its a huge help! If you want some help finding some pokemon or having breeding explained to you feel free to either give me a PM on the forums or to message me in game if I am online ;)

What I meant about the value of x3 plain means that you could not use them in any combination You are required to place 2 seeds minimum so you could not place 1 super seed to make a Cheri Berry as you mentioned Berries such as Salac berry require x2 XXXX x2 XXXX x2 XXXX, its impossible to create those combinations if you have to use a berry that counts as x3 XXXX If they counted as x2 like the VERY XXXX seeds then it would all work out and it could work as a yield increaser, which would be nice.

Very Spicy etc seeds are already equal to 2 of a plain seed having it count as 3 plain would make it so berry combinations would have to be revised as there is no berry that has a combination that requires 3 of a flavour and 3 of another as that isn't a possible combination to do. They could however substitute Very XXXX seeds and as you say increase the yields, say for instance every Super XXXX Seed you have replacing a Very XXXX seed it could increase the end yield by an amount, which would be a nice change.

I feel like something this functionally useful and unique, having no alternative for use, would simply turn the OT pokedex completion into a necessity and a grind in order to play efficiently, although the charm idea is one of the better ideas I've seen. Depending on how small a bonus they give it could be balanced, although I doubt the shiny charm would ever make it into the game.

If you have to start a counter argument with "Technically" doesn't make it seem very strong, While yes you are in a battling mode when you catch pokemon few people consider it an actual fight, and consider fights to be those that pose an actual challenge, such as high level trainer matches, or PvP, which is what BP is given to you for doing. 2. yes, most people WOULD snatch up something for free, however literally everyone who has given feedback on this thread has pointed out that they would rather earn Battle Points in a more efficient manner, such as current matchmaking, because as pointed out, The time taken to complete the OT pokedex if spent earning Battlepoints would probably earn you well into the region of 30,000 battle points or more, probably more if you use ranked and win consistently, Also your argument in your second point assumes they have almost finished the OT dex, very few people have anywhere near even half the OT dex done, for those people it isn't time efficient to earn BP through pokedex completion. 3. ??? who said anything about a Pokeball on a cape? The main reason I suggested a vanity item is because you can wear it and show it off to fellow players who will then instant recognize your accomplishment of "I completed the OT pokedex! :D", earning a battle point reward that will just be spent on items means you have no permenant reward that you can keep to symbolize your efforts.
  8. For something pretty unrelated to battling it doesn't make much sense to me for the reward to be Battle points, I feel like for such a unique achievement a more unique reward should be given. I personally wouldn't care about the Pokedex completion if the reward was just Battlepoints, even if it was 100k BP. I'm not sure what would be appropriate though, maybe a Vanity item that is only available by completing the pokedex and isn't tradeable? Other than vanities it seems really difficult to give anything meaningful as reward that isn't either instantly broken or an unsatisfactory reward, i'm sure it'll be something neat though, hopefully.

  11. It's okay guys, soon everyone will treat any shiny with the OT "chesar" as just a regular poke because they will be so common they won't even be considered special anymore.

I do agree, it certainly isn't fun to grind in islands, however people often go to that as it is the most mindless and reliable thing to do to earn some quick cash with barely any prerequsites (Amulet coin + Strong pokemon) There are more interesting ways of earn cash, GTL flipping, doing odd jobs for other players, even Pickup farming can be more rewarding in a smaller amount of time if you do it right, and there is also berries. More ways of earning cash will probably be added to the game, things I think are in the right direction is things like Matchmaking where we receive BP which we can turn into items which we can sell, and move tutor moves too, this means that people who enjoy PvP can earn in game cash while doing so. Hopefully more ways of gameplay will allow us to earn things worth cash in a similar way.
  14. you make it sound so easy to perfectly design an automatic way to keep an MMORPG fresh and fun while also giving people money without inflating the economy The issue with events that you have describe is that they can only have a limited number of prepared events, and once you have seen all the hide and seek locations in rotation you just check them systematically, guess the pokemon is the same really Grinding is unfortunately part of the game if you don't want to do GTL shenanigans to make cash by buying low and selling high, at the end of the day money earning is usually quite dull in its most efficient easy to do form.

  16. Currently it feels like in order of easiest to hardest EV training goes: Speed Sp. Def Def HP Att Sp.att Def and Sp.def are roughly the same and I feel like Sp.att should be similar to Attack, it does feel painful to train Sp.att compared to every other stat. I feel like Cubones AND Haunters shouldn't be able to appear on the floor with the healing circle in Pokemon Tower, so we get a x3 Horde of Gastly each time and that Cubone hordes are higher up and same with haunters. That or make Golbat hordes rarer in lost cave or something, but yea, please balance this so its a little nicer to train Sp.Att Edit: I also remember seeing @Darkshade saying he'll ask @Kyu about this cause it was brought up this week if I recall.
  17. It has been confirmed that Feebas will be made available in the wild in the same patch that Milotic's method of evolution is implemented. If you are headstrong on having an OT feebas then I reccomend that you, ahead of time, prepare breeders that you can breed with a female feebas that you catch in order to create your perfect milotic. HP grass / Electric is what I would reccomend, good luck

Your arguement revolves around "If it is unbalanced after the change they can just fix it" That means we would get people complaining who bought the donator status that they didn't get what they payed for, even though its a donation Also the pokemon caught from the donator status will exist even after the "Fix" so permenant damage to the economy would occur, Catching those good IV'd pokemon LITERALLY DAMAGES THE ECONOMY A buff to catching and breeding results is literally unhealthy to the game when they are both perfectly balanced Catching is perfectly balanced because every single nature + IV combination is exactly equal odds with everything else Breeding is perfectly balanced because we can brace the IV's we want, and even if we don't it tries to average between the stats most of the time Neither of these need a buff in any way its not special for you to have a 5x31 male breeder, people can make those easily with bracing in breeding, you aren't being selfish for selling something and getting equal value back in liquidated assets such as Pokeyen, its literally just fair there is nothing selfish about that Also breeding is not difficult and does not require a High IQ to figure out, it is literally able to be explained in 3 sentences If you like a pokemon's IV in one stat you can give it a brace so that stat is guaranteed to be given to the child If you like a pokemon's nature you can give it an Everstone and the child will be guaranteed to have that nature For non-bracer stats the child will have either the father's, mother's or the average between both parent's IV There, breeding Nature and IV's explained in 3 sentences with nothing left out.

Breeding is not "way too complicated" it is actually very easy to understand if you spend about 5 minutes reading a guide on the forums which have kindly been made by other players, all the info is there Donator status is perfectly balanced and it is something you can have to option to receive as thanks for Donating cash to help keep the longevity of the game by helping pay bills to keep the game running, It does not need to be changed or buff, Nothing in the cash shop needs to be changed or buffed (Except MAYBE amnesia brace and even then its not NEEDED). Some players will literally play the game for the story and quit because they only wanted to play the story, Some of those people quit because they don't have enough friends to talk to so they don't feel like its fun to stay in the game, some people quit because there is a lot of grind in end game with earning cash and not that much diversity in content (Which is being addressed over time with updates) I have never heard of anyone quitting the game because either: A: "Its too hard to find good pokemon in the wild" B: "Breeding is too complicated" Also Donator status is only able to be sold in game because people WANT to use it, so they buy it, they don't just buy it because it looks pretty sitting in their inventory. I still strongly believe we should not re-balance anything to do with Donator status because I feel it is in a good place and also, even if it wasn't we have no right to complain as we receive it as thanks for a donation.

I do not see the need for this, I think that IV's and breeding are completely balanced in a good way and do not require any form of change to them, ESPECIALLY not a cash shop item only change I actively do not want this in the game for all of the reasons already mentioned. Also new players don't care about IV's, they want a poke with a nice move set that evolves well and is helpful in the story, and for new players getting into comp you can give them some leveled EV'd pokes with Ehh IV's that you no longer use, it will do the trick for them until they get their own, I used to play with pokemon that I later learned were utter trash IV wise (This was way back when we couldn't just view IV's in game and I was always too lazy to check)
  22. Isn't the only weather effects in ORAS Sandstorm and Ash? (The latter which isn't even a real weather effect) I'm not even sure if it rains in the actual game apart from maybe around the weather institute so maybe thats the reason its unaffected by weather? Also, it means I dont want to end thine own life by reading "IT IS RAINING" every time i enter a battle for all the battles
  23. I feel like they deliberately made offensive EV'ing harder, this is noticeable with them removing the 100% Heracross hordes and the 100% Golduck / Psyduck hordes on Cape Brink, I mean, Im ok with it but man Sp.Att horde training is a pain.

I believe that eventually Darkshade plans to have our in-game battle sprites in some form reflect our cosmetics which we have equipped, however I think this was mentioned a very long time ago so I no longer know if it is still planned (or if I am remembering correctly) If they are used in the overworld, I believe that tags should go before the username but after the team tag, example: [Tiam] Dragon Tamer Matoka However I think it might be best to only display these upon entering a battle: "Dragon Tamer Matoka wants to battle!" "You have defeated Dragon Tamer Matoka!" etc This would be a nice new thing to collect, other tags you haven't listed could possibly be: Fossil Hunter Matoka (Hand in 1 of every fossil item to be restored) Professor Matoka (Complete the OT pokedex) Coordinator Matoka (Contest related (Soontm)) Also I don't think the tags should be gender restricted, people are already a little annoyed about some things being gender restricted and I wouldn't be that bad to allow both gendered characters to use all tags Hope this makes it in, would be more customization and more stuff to earn which I always enjoy.
