  1. Mostly based around how easily it is on turn 3 to end up in a situation where you want to forfeit, and also people could possibly just time-out themselves at some point which only takes 3 minutes, It just feels like 5 minutes is quite long for this, maybe 1.5 is too short but while I get win-trading could become a potential issue there are gonna be tons of ways to do it, and forcing people to stick in a lost match for another 3 minutes after 2 minutes of flat-out being destroyed can be a bit saddening. I just feel 5 mins is a tad too long, although 1.5 mins on retrospect is probably too short.
  2. Issue is you can enter a "I want to forfeit" state in less than 30 seconds into a match, yes it solves abuse by also it'd feel weird, 5 mins probably too long, 1.5 mins seems more fair.
  3. In relation to this thread though, I can't really add much in terms of a concept I'd just be happy with these being added, most of all a forfeit and cancel button, the spectating round-by-round thing would be nice, but I could live without it and it seems a tad hard to make, it'd probably involve the creation of replay-like things in the game and I dunno how hard those are to make.
  4. Never said they stopped being a thing, I am well aware that they are a part of the game (I even mentioned it?) but my point was they became irrelevant as the pokemon they provided were only notable because of Hoenn not existing, and they were a pain to check for as it required sitting infront of a TV in game, my point was we could do it again in Unova using Xtransciever instead of a TV for starters and some other pokes.
  5. I think Swarms in Pokemmo were always a cool addition but they kinda fell out of popularity or even relevance as it was to begin with really difficult to tell when one was occuring, and the pokemon they contained originally were pretty rare normally or just not available yet (e.g. Numel before Hoenn was added) I think with the addition of Black and White's Unova region it would be a good time to attempt to re-implement Swarms into the game but this time making them able to be checked for using the Xtransciever, perhaps by contacting / being contacted by the Professor of the region or Bianca etc to let you know there's a swarm instead of being forced to sit infront of an in-game TV for years to see if one is going on. This could possibly be used as a source of otherwise non-renewable pokemon in the Unova region such as starters, or possibly small numbers of pokemon eventually not available otherwise until sinnoh. I just thought swarms were cool and I miss them being a cool thing I guess? :c

Also just for the record, people telling you to use the search tab is not them being LAZY it is them not playing favourites, it is what you are meant to do rather than having every single person who returns to the game make an identical thread that will get identical answers. They are being strict but firm so the forums function properly, if you take it out on them and call them lazy you can never argue back about how hypocritical that is as you made this thread because you must, to a degree, have also been a tad lazy as the information is certainly there for you to search. Also, not to open an entire separate can of worms but: Please do not ever bring up anything to do with gender when it comes to manners or rules, I felt a little sick when reading anywhere someone make the example of people being a gentleman and holding the door for someone etc an EXPECTED thing, it is inherently sexist to expect male to hold door for female and act in a manner that implies you believe you are entitled to such treatment, anyone can hold the door for anyone is it just being nice, but the second you phrase it in a way where "I bet you are the kind of person who would make me open my own door" you sound entitled and spoilt because you implied it would be such a terrible thing for you to be independent and open a door for yourself. also you saying: "The point of this thread is for you & everyone else to give me a brief run down so I do not has to read years upon years worth of change logs lol" Our point was simply that such threads are redundant because the information is clearly available to you in the updates section of the forums, however your response shows a ludicrous degree of disrespect for people when you are objectively in the wrong, there is no argument to be had over this and it's an extremely minor thing most people won't bat an eyelash at, but don't you dare be disrespectful to other people who point it out casually, it is not a personal attack or people being "Lazy" it is people reminding others there is a SEARCH FUNCTION on the forums that helps keep the forums neat and tidy and not filled with useless duplicate posts of the same thing ad nauseam. TL;DR Don't bring gender into it or act entitled + Use the Search function in future please.

    New stuff

Everything in Generation 3 other than legendaries outside of Rayquaza can be found, we now have contests and berry farming and secret bases. Generation 5's Unova is scheduled to be implemented in the next 1.75 months based on how long ago Kyu said 2 months, We will be in Unova and Sinnoh will be added probably at some point in the far future after Unova is pretty finished. Shortly after Unova's implementation we will be getting Dungeons which are a source for Legendary Pokemon and Hidden Ability versions of current pokemon. that's about it.
  9. Some box art legendaries are pretty weak though by comparison to others, such as Reshiram, meanwhile some non-box art legendaries can be pretty devastating to meta game such as say Azelf or Landorous, or even Deoxys since it isn't a boxart legendary, I just wonder with odd cases like this how it's gonna be decided.
  10. Define "Slowly" trickle, like 4 pokemon families per dungeon would slow for you or another roughly guess? also where would you draw the line as OP as Fuck, would you include the 600 base stat total mythic pokemon as OP?
  11. I could, infact I am waiting. but for me personally at least having some of these details mentioned helps me keep up hype towards the new update. Also sometimes people who play a game ask about things dev's wouldn't think to discuss before their addition, and in those cases it could potentially lead to feedback from the community before it's addition to the game, that can potentially have merit depending on what the topic and feedback is. I might not get any of these questions answered, and that's fine, there's no harm in asking though. *shrug*

    help!

No one is allowed to provide you with a source for the ROMs in this forum or in the game, this is due to legal reasons, you will have to find your own ROMs, such as with Google
  13. I'm aware that these will be a future implementation, and therefore any possible answers we might get are subject to change and may not even be decided upon yet, but on the off chance these get a response I'm curious about the following: Considering these will be the source of Hidden Abilities and that slightly more than four generations of pokemon (as this is before implementation of Sinnoh) will be available, that's a lot of pokemon to eventually have hidden abilities distributed, with this mind roughly how many unique families of pokemon can we expect on average a dungeon to contain? too few will mean some people will have to wait an extreme amount of time for specific pokemon to gain access to the desired set they wish to run, and too many at once could make the meta a tad unstable / run out of new sparkly things for players before the implementation of Sinnoh. Any thoughts? Will pokemon be guaranteed to have their hidden abilities if they are found inside a dungeon or will it be a random chance, rare chance etc? Considering it has already been stated Dungeons will be a source of legendary pokemon, is there an idea on how you want to handle the distribution of these legendary pokemon? when I ask this more so mean in terms of their power levels, it seems safer to add in say Regirock than it does to add in Deoxys as Deoxys is a far more powerful pokemon for a plethora of reasons. Are you taking the mentality of "Eventually we want all of them to be available" and simply have some put into Ubers, or do you plan for only a certain group of legendary pokemon, i.e. less super powerful ones, to be implemented through dungeons? Will these legendary pokemon be replenish-able? or only one per character etc? With the above in mind will a legendary be capable of being shiny? Will it be feasible for someone to "Shiny hunt" a legendary? Will it be possible for Legendary Pokemon to be traded / put on GTL? Will a dungeon, after its implementation, usually be available consistently from then onwards? The North-Pole dungeon previously added for a winter event was only available for a duration, will this be the same with dungeons added from now on or will they be something we can access year-round? Will they have some attunement / access fee required to enter? and if so will they have a timer / step counter for how long you can exist within them before being ejected? This is the most spoiler-esque question I'll ask, but, if you'd be willing to give us a small teaser what "Theme" or environment you think the first dungeon will hold? similar to "Marsh Land" "Jungle" "Underwater" "Volcano" etc or is it still undecided?
  14. The life of the gimmick pokemon user is hard. Live on brother, we will endure. We will meme but we will not break.

    Dailys

The one daily mentioned I like the sound of most is "Go out and catch X pokemon for me" Could be done where NPC's in various towns may or may not have a request for a pokemon they want from a pool of pokemon. You go out to catch the pokemon, and upon catching it the game does a special prompt "Would you like to send this pokemon complete your daily?" If you click yes then the pokemon instead of going to your PC goes to the NPC and you get their reward, small amount of cash like 7,500 yen or some pokeballs (e.g. 10 ultra balls) Defeating pokemon isn't something i'd want as a daily I don't think really, I dunno though. dailies feel weird to exist in pokemmo when comparing it to other game's stuff
  16. Issue is if everyone's things require extra resources it /is/ a money sink because people need to buy the things to feed them. people don't /think/ this would be a money sink, its just a fact. An addition like this should be 100% optional meaning it has no negative drawbacks for people not participating in it, i.e. they don't starve to death xd I think it could be cool though to have it where you could have the game pull from HG/SS sprites to summon up some pokemon from your party to wonder around from your party if you wished. but other than that I'd rather it didn't impact the game mechanically.
  17. VGC is not comparable to singles, at all. if you meant purely for double battles then specify. OU / UU / NU / (RU?) Singles in the new meta have entirely different implications for having Item Clause than VGC does.
  18. Was just giving examples about how it MIGHT not be as immediately terrible as it sounds, never said I wanted it or supported it, was just stating that there are stall options that don't use Lefties, and I would count some Assault Vest sets as stally rather than sweepy.
  19. Item clause may not be as restrictive anymore in teambuilding for defensive teams, we will now have pokemon that can use Black Sludge / Eviolite / Assault Vest / Leftovers, that's 4 slots where pokemon are very bulky, and that's not considering possible Sitrus Berry Harvest sets for exeggutor / tropius or even sets like Flame Orb Sigilyph. Pokemon can be defensive without 6 leftovers, or even defensive items at all, such as the aforementioned Sigilyph ;p
  20. Didn't intend to list EVERY genderless / male only pokemon, also Spiritomb isn't genderless? And Mandibuzz can just be done normally, same a Chansey / Kangaskhan / Jynx which are also all female only. Also Ty for heads up Djinn I'll be working on the rest of this guide in a bit, got busy today and just popped on to see whats happening but now im heading to bed. will aim to finish it tomorrow
  21. I have edited your quote and labelled every NFE pokemon in all tiers to my knowledge for ease of viewing Also where is Zoroark?
  22. Not using Suicide Trickroom Lead Banette? SMH Brave 31/31/31/31/31/0 IV Banette with [ Trickroom / Destiny Bond / Shadow Claw / Taunt ] holding a Focus Sash
  23. It's not released if it's in work in progress? Also if anything changes about how Hidden Abilities are handled I'm ready to scrap it and re-do it. I don't see what's wrong with that.
  24. I know, but people might be curious about it, and having a step-by-step guide isn't going to hurt anyone, and some people might not understand how it works since its new to some people. You are right though it could be optimal to do 5x31 Unnatured HA poke first, but I tend to prefer doing it first for some reason so that's why I put it like that I guess.
  25. How to breed with Hidden Abilities in mind, Matoka's Guide With the addition of Generation 5 mechanics there will now be Hidden abilities going around for certain Pokemon and new strategies that will be available with their introduction. *With how Hidden Abilities are currently implied to function I will be explaining based on this current system, I will update if the method is changed however it seems this is the current way we will have to work Hidden Abilities into our Pokemon. I will be covering how to breed a hidden ability Pokemon you have caught into a Competitive Pokemon, and I will also be explaining how to incorporate a new hidden ability into a competitive pokemon you already possess via breeding for a slight discount over starting from scratch. [Breeding from Scratch] The method for this is the exact same as if you were breeding a regular Pokemon, except you must ensure that the female Pokemon in each family branch is the Pokemon with your Hidden Ability where applicable, in cases where the Pokemon is Genderless or Male exclusively then you must ensure that the Genderless / Male pokemon has the Hidden ability and is bred with a Ditto. [Obtaining a breed-able Hidden Ability Pokemon] [Pokemon that can be Female] I will now explain how you would breed a 5x31 Gyarados with desirable nature from your Hidden Ability Magikarp. [Pokemon that can only be Genderless / Male] Below I will explain the process for if your pokemon is Gendelress or Male only as a species, I will be using Porygon for this example. *Warning, Genderless / Male only pokemon are extremely expensive to breed if you go for perfect 31 IV pokemon due to their reliance on extremely rare wild Dittos with high IV's. TL;DR The Mother (or Non-Ditto) parent will pass on their hidden ability to the child. The Father cannot pass on a hidden ability unless it is bred with a ditto or with a female of the exact same species. Currently available Pokemon families that have access to their Hidden Abilities: None. No dungeons have been introduced yet. Come back later for updates.
