    Breeding nidoran male

So apparently it is intuitive that if you breed nidorans the outcome will be random (either nidoran male or female 50/50 odds). But if you breed nidorina/o or nidoking/queen you will get the corresponding gendered offspring. aka. nidorino+ditto=nidoran male Looking at you Munya.

    Type Defenses

Rock crushes ice. Rock squishes bug. One Rock can take two birds out of the sky. Rocks around a campfire contains the fire. Rocks can't do much to the ground. Rock is weaker than steel. Rocks don't hurt fighters cause they are tough as steel. Normal can't touch ghosts cause they are paranormal. Normal has a hard time beating rock (cause you gotta be buff to do that). You use a lighter to make smoking grass effective. Fire melts ice. Fire exterminates bugs. Jet fuel melts steel beams. It takes a lot of fire to melt a rock. Fire can't deal with water easily. It takes a lot of fire to get rid of the water. Fire just adds to fire (ignore fighting fire with fire). Dragons live in volcanoes and stuff so they are used to fire. Water puts out fires. Water can erode the ground. Water polishes rock. Water just adds to water. Water helps plants grow (takes a lot of water to actually be bad for plants). Some dragons live in the water so they are used to it. Plants drink water. Plants' roots dig into the ground. Plants' roots break up rock. Many plants can't defend against bugs eating them. Plants can't reach birds flying up high. Grass don't hurt grass. Generally throwing plants on poison doesn't turn out well. Grass only adds fuel to the fire Grass doesn't affect dragons very much cause they are already high as fuck. Ever try to break steel with grass? Electric spreads through water. I thought I could get through all of this... but I'm bored... sorry.

    Ribbons

I'm always talking about the main market. You are referring to niche markets that house maybe 10-15 players. Idgaf about those.
  7. @Desu is postimage.org not on the whitelist? (also postimg.org). This makes me cry, was the main one that I used and now can't give a sig to someone. tried imgur too. not working.

    Ribbons

They shouldn't add any value. If you are putting a premium on the pokemon because of the ribbons it has, you are fooling yourself and selling yourself short.

    Ribbons

ribbons hold no value. The only ribbon that affects the value of a pokemon is the gift ribbon which turns its yen value to zero.
  10. So when lax gets banned, are you planning on taking the credit for it... or what? If you aren't going to add anything to the discussion I don't see why you feel the need to essentially post the same exact thing three times in a row all within 12 hours.
  11. Aggron seems like it does pretty well against lax. Not like it really cares about being paralyzed from time to time, yeah it will hurt, but not a whole lot. The only thing it has to watch out for is focus punch (which is only relevant on a switch in) or earthquake. If you determine that it doesn't have either then you can safely switch in 100% of the time, set up a sub and from there it has a nice range of coverage. If you sub-punch, you are still hitting skarm for 27.9-33.1% (max attack Aggron with leftovers vs max hp/def skarm) which is a nice little hit against a physical wall. Against a dusclops (again maxed out defense and HP) it gets in 34.6-41.4% with an iron tail, granted it has to switch out once the sub is broken so as to not get burned, but that's when you send in a flash fire Arcanine/Doom =) With a little special def investment (at the expense of speed, who needs that on a literal tank?) it can even beat out a magneton straight up. Though if it took a couple of hits and is not behind a sub, the magneton has no trouble revenge killing it (but it can't safely switch into the aggron). Though I don't think aggron is actually a viable option to run in the OU meta (dunno, maybe it might be? o.O) I think that it is important for people to figure out their own unique solutions to the issue. Like seriously. From my viewpoint, people who are going "Snorlax is cancer, ban his ass", are really saying "I have this team, it's really vulnerable to snorlax, I'm too lazy to try out alternatives so let's just go the easy route and ban it so I just don't have to deal with it". My personal way of dealing with snorlax is by running a really special Zangoose that I researched heavily on what damage I want it to be able to deal to certain pokemon and what it needs to outspeed and what it doesn't. And then built a team around that. Yeah. I built an OU team around an UU pokemon (or NU whatever the hell it is). There is almost always a pokemon that I can bring it out against and set up and proceed to sweep the current OU meta on the opponent's team. And if there isn't, then I make the adjustment and make sure to get it to deal damage against the pokemon that I want it to, so that the other pokemon on the team can handle the situation. The team is tailored to not letting snorlax set up/have good switch ins and get chip damage in for an eventual sweep. It's a rather solid team and the win rate is definitely positive. Nothing on the team is cookie cut from Smogon's website, it's all custom made. It's just that I have a strange feeling that if comps were easier to make in PokeMMO, you wouldn't have as much of a negative opinion of snorlax (as people would be more willing to experiment and develop countering strategies). edit: Like are you yourself going to now make a viable aggron at the expense of your time and yen to simply test to see if it will be a viable solution? My guess is that your answer is "no." And i believe that therein lies the problem. That problem itself is restricting our creativity to known potential solutions (like swagjolt).
  12. Take my statements with a grain of salt, lel. We all know how competitive I am. (personally don't see what a big problem it is. At worst for me, I just trade 1 for 1 against a lax...)

    no more walls

"Let's take a step back and take a good look at a stall team. Let's ask ourselves what the goal of a stall team is. Their goal is to not let you win the game." When you realize that the wall teams are not actively trying to win the game (rather just outlast you), you can then shape your strategy to reflect that, and (if you actually do make the adjustment) you will find that you will start winning more of those games. Btw. that was a paraphrase from some smogon quote that I saw here a long time ago.
  14. I thought it was over when I missed the toxic on Volcanion... http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/randombattle-437006361
  15. I think you misunderstand the shiny mechanic of donator status. It increases the rate BY 10%, not TO 10%. It just means you are 10% more likely to encounter a shiny than previously. Note that if the increase was by 100%, it would simply double your odds of encountering a shiny (you wouldn't encounter shinies 100% of the time). i.e. 110% x 1/8192 = 1.1/8192 200% x 1/8192 = 2/8192 = 1/4096 Anyways, since the rate to find a shiny is so low, you will hardly see the difference that the 10% makes. The donator status is something that slightly rewards players for donating money to the game, just speeds up the overall grind by a small amount. It is not intended to have a large impact on the game, because we don't want overt paid-to-win mechanics. edit: Also, the item is for donating to the game... DONATING. You shouldn't expect much in the first place.
  16. As long as they don't bring back colourable labcoats and the Seasonal items that they said were exclusive to those years, then idgaf. Otherwise, I will riot, and I will riot hard.
  17. Here let me clear this thread up. Xatu, your assumption that the game would look better if the NPC's were removed is your opinion and it is not shared by the majority of everyone else here (as evident by those who've posted in this thread). You've also made a lot of claims including %'s without any backing whatsoever, which adds nothing to your argument. The suggestion to locked moving npcs in place would be a fine compromise. Staff has stated that they aren't removing the NPC's. Nothing more to argue. So only two things can come from this thread now. Either we lock Roaming NPC's in place or we make no change.
  18. And how the hell do you know how much people donate to the game?
  19. you were close. Convenience. I really hate when people suggest Gift Shop Items and put a price on it and say "this is a perfect idea because it will make devs money". Just really irritates me for some reason... Anyways, I do think it would be a cool idea, but I still don't really see why we can't just fly between the regions... I suspect it's cause of a ROM check the code does that exists in the Slateport/Verm boat mechanic. but if that's the case, then I don't get why linking the maps on the fly menu would be an issue. Just have if(current_location == "Kanto" and destination == "Hoenn"): unloadKanto() loadHoenn() Just speculation on my part. I haven't read the game's code.
  20. I'd just rather the moving npcs were turned into stationary npcs... It has triggered me on multiple occasions when an npc body blocks me for a good 5 seconds. But really, it isn't a big deal whatsoever.
  21. This response just tells me that you don't understand at all what I've been saying.
