I think we suggested enough alternatives. It's up to them to find a way to implement it now, we all know in the end they're gonna do it their way no matter what. They seem to be interested enough, so let's just hope we get something by the end of the year

Well, you could technically fish another pokemon and teach it surf, as long as you have a rod. But it's a nice point, maybe we could use something else other than /unstuck

Point is there souldn't be any price at all. Why would you put a price on something like having battles freely inside our bases? everything so genuinely fun and healthy to the metagame should not have a price. That doesn't encourage anyone to move from vermilion either. Anyway, i'm pretty sure noone cares if you can or can not heal in your base as long as you can still battle and change your team, so we can definitely find another solution. For some reason rachel feels someone could abuse this and won't change her mind whatever we tell her, so let's just acknowledge that and try to find a proper compromise; anything else is wasting our time. The important thing here is to start giving bases some relevance. I'd like to hear what she (or any other staff willing to help) had in mind now

We were discussing the possibility of having the mail system in our bases, but that would bring a few issues. Then i thought: what if we had a way to teleport from our bases directly to another city? Maybe even a way to enter our bases while in kanto, which is currently the more populated region anyway. It would be a bit weird, but it makes sense as a gameplay choice.

Oh, you meant mailing away your hm slave. Ye, didn't think about that. I think i have an idea for that, lemme open a thread.

Wait, how would one trap himself with a mailed pokemon? I mean, if anything you won't be able to take it with a full team, hence why i suggested for them to be automatically moved to your box. Having a complete mail system in bases would definitely help make them more relevant. I believe bases have a lot of potential and if you guys decide to invest on them they could very well become the core of some interesting end game activies.

No. We told you why and you're still playing dumb. But it's ok, i think pretty much noone cares wether your team stays the same or changes upon leaving the base, so how about making it your way? Let's end this pointless debate and reach a good meeting point. It would be nice though to be able to send and receive mails from your base. There could be some issues with mailed pokemon, so we could have them automatically going to your pc (which is better than having them moved to your party anyway)

Eh! edit: everyone and their mothers run slowbro these days. Or at least something fast enough to avoid getting swept by stuff such as kingler and metagross. You'll hardly find someone running a slow wallish team without slowbro. But yeh, it's quite devatating. Funny when you consider how hard crawdaunt can hit slowbro. Maybe they could be used together

Trust me, you don't want weather effects and better graphics on a game that requires java :rolleyes: Personally i'd like to see introduced: 1 Something other than competitive battling. In the original games you had the pokeathlon, beauty contests etc, something on that line would be immensely appreciated. Minigames shouldn't be too hard to code, and i'm sure a lot of casual players would love them. 2 A proper ladder system with prizes. This has already been discussed, so i won't dig into it. 3 Highly customizable bases + a purpose to them. If we could be able to play ranked matches inside our bases, for example, we would stop having whatever city as a meeting spot. Let's face it, having to go to verm ch1 for something other than scrub battles is not very pleasant. Headquarters would become a thing. 4 Better (and significantly) faster ways to make cash that don't heavily rely on rng. Variety, quality and fairness

Facts is it wouldn't make eving any easier at all. you save about 1 minute in an entire hp training session, but that's it.

Nice idea, although the prices are quite outrageous (coming from me, possibly the guy who's most willing to invest cash on bases)
