Oh man... :( That sounds pretty unfortunate. By any chance can u give an estimate of how small that rate is? Like if it's a ridiculous number, for example: 1/50,000 then i probably wouldn't have the patience to search for it. And also, people have been telling me that there are a lot of other factors to shiny encounters. Like, if I were to hunt in a certain area for hours, does the shiny rate decrease because I may be suspected of botting? Anyways, thanks the fast replies!

Hey Guys! So I am a returning player who loves shiny pokemon. And so I ended up buying the donator status in attempt to shiny hunt; however, does anyone know if the original shiny rate like on the wiki page changed? I remember the rate in encountering a shiny was 1/8192 and by getting the donator status it will increase that rate to 1/7373; however ppl in game were telling my the devs changed it or something and so I decided to post here and ask if it's even worth it to continue my shiny hunt. Im sorry if this question got asked a lot; but if this is true then I'm kinda sad that I was misinformed into buying the donator status.
