(shold works on any *BSD: FreeBSD, Debian/kfreebsd, DragonflyBSD, Darwin ...)
MUST BE ROOT OR SUDO
if you have one *BSD Based kernel (like me) and want to play PokeMMO you have 5 choices:
( Easy , Medium , Hard )
give up/surrender (the easy way)
make a developer/edit de source to make it run (java based) (the hardest way)
wait till devs make a *bsd version (maybe u'll w8 4ever)
run it on wine, you will need at least Java 6.30 (for windows) installed on your wine (not tested yet, maybe buggy)
use a Virtual Machine (maybe hard anyway, need knowledge 'bout how to compile using "make install")
in my case Wine is (damn) poor on Debian/kfreebsd-amd64 so i chose option *5* VM 'coz i really want to play
the free Virtual Machine Softwares avaliable for *BSD based systems : Qemu (only source code, exept on Debian/kfreebsd) (my chioce, tiny and easy)
VirtualBox (only source code)
Vmware Player (linux version maybe works, not tested yet)
for Debian/kfreebsd ( >= 7.0 )
add those lines on /etc/apt/source.list
