Because probably they had the luck to play against some really high ranked players, so when they lost, they were not losing much but when they won, they were getting a lot. It's a plausible explanation at this point I guess

That would be stupidly bad for their business. They need to keep the players interested in the game, if everything drops at once, players will very quickly get bored because no new stuff will appear= boring ass stale metagame. With new mons/ HAs implementation, they keep the playerbase going Also hats

That depends on you actually and the way you would want to play. If you would be going for "matchmaking" with random people, you would probably need to focus on supporting them rather than going straight up for maximum damage. Pokemons like Serperior with dualscreens, safeguard, aromatherapy, dualscreen sableye, haze/tailwind prankster Murkrow will always be appreciated- especially when you consider people brought intimidate pokes against defiant Purugly 🙂 Lucky Chant became one of my fav moves for this event, as it prevents crits which would otherwise become game-ruining. If you will be playing with a composed team full of experienced people, then probably the sun strategy will be do the trick. 2 pokes which can setup sun, 4 CB darmanitans, 4 specs solar power charizards and then just some random shit. I have mowed down all raids aside from Gyara using that strategy, 4 darmanitans and 4 charizards were doing 80% damage to the boss total (!). In general, many standard 5x31 comps on lvl 100 should do just fine if you have a competent team of friends.

I like this suggestion a lot. This would help us to breed up our old untradeable rewards with bad IVs which are just completely useless nowdays, or just straight up use some non-shiny stuff to breed a different mon. Upvoted

I love my legendaries too But soon Articunos despite their legendary status are going to be worth 15k, it's gonna really suck to hunt a mon with a super low encounter and catch rate to find out that it's basically worthless, so I think such a sink would motivate players to hunt for shit they otherwise would not care about

I'm thinking about creating some kind of an NPC which can help us "get rid" of our legendaries which are useless, working in a similar way as that shiny collecting baron. That NPC could consume our legendary for: -Rainbow Quills -Elemental Orbs -Nature Herbs -Legendary lures -Battle points? Opinions?

Regardless, while I agree that Dugtrio should disappear, you can't really say that it makes sand unplayable with Tyranitar being one of the top usage pokes. I'm unsure about which mon are you talking about when you mention that it's a counter to Volcarona though, because if it's Ttar, then I would never list it as a counter. And I agree- PokeMMO OU is the most disgusting metagame I have ever seen across all the generations and metagames I played, on par with VGC 16.

I'll give you screenshots 🙂 I was about to run a Johto alt when the event hit so they are still unevolved. For every e4 I also bring a low level Sturdy pokemon with Stealth Rock (to break other Sturdy pokemon and focus sashes).

For Krooko I use EQ, Crunch, Brick Break and Rock Slide (all of them are getting passed during breeding) Exca uses EQ, Rock Slide, Brick break and X-Scissor (same story- they all get passed after re-breed) I was also using Gengar for Hoenn- it solo'd, it's very easy to use/ re-breed and works super well. Mine is TBolt, Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball and Giga Drain Hope this helps 🙂
