  1. Chaotzu trying to take credit for other peoples' posts? Classic. Looking forward to having a quality wallbreaker in OU once again.
  2. After reintroducing PorygonZ to the Underused tier, the tier council has voted to end the suspect test. After a thorough investigation it is apparent that PorygonZ, while very good, is not the overwhelming offensive juggernaut it used to be. @Munya you may now close this thread. Any further discussion can be directed to the UU Tier Discussion Request Thread.
  3. How to hurt stall even more 101 Great post highlighting a very impressive mechanic but not broken. Players have been able to manage Wish+Teleport for some time now, and chansey has many flaws that at times make it a liability. Mixed attackers feast, especially those mixed-Fighting types. And who knows, maybe Gallade will make its inevitable return and be good enough to see OU usage.
  4. Overall, UU seems to be adapting well enough to this powerhouse. AV users, and especially those with resistance and immunity, can actually switch in safely; its speed continues to make it vulnerable to offensive play, and it needs a lot of support to sweep. Thoughts now that we're over a month in is that PoryZ may have found a new home. More discussion hopefully will help us make that decision as a TC.
  5. Yes, yes everyone and their mama has said that.
  6. It's been almost a month since my last post and I'm still torn. Amazing offensive sweeper but needs some support to consistently pull it off (screens, trap). Watching matches and playing a bit, I think it is OK to keep around if usage allows.
  7. Most of those decisions are above the level of TC as they impact PvE and the storyline. We'll wait and see like the rest of y'all.
  8. Chow says argument strong and we should unban. Gallade ain't coming back in its current state, sorry Gallade-supporting community.
  9. Hey @KeldeoCrowned unfortunately this post resembles an official Tier Council thread, so I might recommend changing the title to avoid having it closed. Mixed Dragonite is incredible and really has very few counters. It takes good Hazard play and double switches to really take advantage, but that's hard to do. Consider things that resist Espeed and are faster, such as Icy Wind Gengar or Scarf Metagross. A solid Lure is great too.
  10. @BaliAds Mentioning Gigalith as a potential check is a really good point and something that could certainly rise to [UU] as a possible answer. I think we'll just have to wait and see how usage evolves this cycle, and this concern will certainly be taken into consideration as we proceed with these tests.
  11. What is this? Porygon-Z has been dying in Borderline 1 for several months and given recent additions to Pokemmo including Assault Gear, some Hidden Abilities, and access to new moves, the Tier Council has voted to suspect test Porygon-Z in the [UU] tier as its usage has once again fallen in [OU]. What to know? Porygon-Z was considered too much for [UU] offensively the last time around, and that could very well still be true. We are hoping to prove with practical data, given the aforementioned changes, that this is still the case. Noteworthy sets? Choice Specs w/ Download (or Adaptability) - Tri-Attack - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Hidden Power Fire/Psychic/Dark Pulse Choice Scarf w/ Download - Tri-Attack - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Hidden Power Fire/Psychic/Dark Pulse Sweeper w/ Download (or Adaptability) - Life Orb or Leftovers - Tri-Attack - Ice Beam/Dark Pulse - Nasty Plot - Substitute/Agility/Recover Hit-and-Run w/ Download (or Adaptability) - Life Orb - Tri- Attack - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Teleport Noteworthy calcs? It hits everything, really, really hard, but it's made of paper. The tier has overall become more hostile for Porygon-Z though with the addition of more offense such as Mach Punch Machamp, Vacuum Wave Toxicroak and Poliwrath, Feraligatr and Crawdaunt, and of course the great offense stopper: Ambipom. It's overpowered attacks feel less overpowered now with the addition of Assault Gear on the likes of Spiritomb, and it has to contend once again with its greatest [UU] rival: Empoleon. Please take your time to review the [UU] tier as we suspect test Porygon-Z for at least 1 month, or seasonal cycle. The tier council will the move forward with a vote when ready and a simple majority vote will determine whether pZ is still BL2 or if it's fit for [UU]. Please discuss.
  12. After a prolonged review, the Tier Council has voted and determined that Cloyster does not meet ban criteria for the [NU] tier. It appears Cloyster has found a home. @Munya you may close this thread, thank you.
  13. Currently voting to approve a suspect test.
  14. [NU] has come a long way, although Venomoth still remains an outstanding force given its access to Tinted Lens. Despite Gigalith moving down, there really isn't much remaining to stop this behemoth. The most common set will likely be the following: Venomoth - Tinted Lens (Black Sludge) - Quiver Dance - Bug Buzz - Substitute - Disable/Sleep Powder/Giga Drain At +1, it's speed is better than most common [NU] Choice Scarf users, including Blaziken, and it resists the most common priority typing in the tier (Fighting via Mach Punch). The addition of Assault Gear (AG) means a +1 Bug Buzz only goes so far, and given Assault Gear users require a pure-attacking set, Disable can only function to remove the most effective attack. Common (AG) users such as Eelektross, Druddigon, Escavalier, and Hitmontop are all primed to stand up to Venomoth, except for opposing Sleep Powder, or the unpredictable coverage move. New fun things to also consider are CB Azumarill with Aqua Jet, Unburden Sceptile with Acrobatics, Speed Boost Ninjask with Acrobatics, Infiltrator Golbat, Magic Bounce Xatu, and of course the lord and savior of all players hoping to not get swept by set-up: Choice Scarf Imposter Ditto. Overall, Venomoth is still big and bad, but this test is definitely needed. If it proves too much, it'll get sent back to the depths of BL2 but it's time to give it a shot.
  15. Legendaries should be free, and not held hostage. They shouldn't be passed from player to player and forced to fight just for the sake of BP and a Pokedex entry.
  16. All I see is a story of heroes defending the legendary from people who simply want to take advantage of them for their own benefit.
  17. Things are going to be different for the summer season and beyond. We're aiming to make changes to the cutoffs to avoid these kind of shifts moving forward. Chao must have finally gotten a couple ladder wins spamming Gallade.
  18. Currently on my phone, so 🐻 with me. We looked at a variety of ways to reduce the issue of yo-yo'ing and the chaos it can produce, plus that volatility you spoke on. Namely, we have little control over rises and it's chiefly a rise that has the most significant impact on a tier. For example, Gligar and Golbat moving up to UU in November, Empoleon up to OU in September, and Slowbro up to UU in January in 2021. With each of those jumps (which after a month or two came back down), the tiers were at their worst. It's evident that was mostly due to these being key defensive elements, but regardless the tiers should be protected from this fluctuation. Splitting the cutoffs solves this to an extent, but this takes it to the next level. Our game is slow, we don't have a very lively matchmaking system (sometimes you can't even get a match in the lower tiers) and official tournaments are are about one per tier per week at most (ignoring cc's). With that in mind, limiting movements makes sense, especially "harmful" rises. Chasing a longer duration of stability with this change.
  19. What is your concern, that the top players (or those with most games played) have too much influence or too little influence on stats?
