  1. Chow so bad. Zap + 'cune isn't going to be powerful because of their offensive presence... @Doctor tell 'em
  2. TC Discussion: Zapdos to OU. Stoked to see the variability and skill shine through. A Pokemon that advantages all play styles and will have a positive impact through and through. Rotom-W or Zapdos #1 ?!
  3. Go play a simulator brosky, these devs need to make theirs. One year at a time. Come back in 2055.
  4. With advances in defensive play over the years, PokeMMO has really nerfed wallbreaking to the point that common walls really had little to fear and well built defensive cores (or entire teams) could withstand most archetypes. Assault Gear, Regenerator, Magic Guard, Levitate, Cursed Body, berries and other held items have really boosted defenses to the point that there are very few wallbreakers that can OHKO a mon that simply waits to be healed by a teammate. So I do appreciate when players comment on the benefits of Draco Meteor, which does help the TC better understand if it's competitive and healthy, or simply broken and/or unhealthy. (We could also discuss nerfing gems which have been a huge boost for offense, and makes Draco Meteor even more fearsome.)
  5. I think my man was just trying to say that Draco Meteor is good for the game because Stall can be so strong when used correctly.
  6. Volarona, Butterfree, Scyther, and any other set up GOAT gonna run OP
  7. I just logged. What have they done haha
  8. With any replication, there should be a strong effort to maintain canon as much as possible. It's always worth consideration to test something that has been banned when significant changes have taken place. Regardless of that gaming tidbit, Draco Meteor expands the number of wallbreakers, and pressures Assault Gear and Regenerator users tremendously which I personally see as an upside. It's access to U-Turn, really sets it apart, giving it the option to nuke a team with Draco or pivot off checks that might otherwise prevent it from doing its job. Set-up (Nasty Plot/Focus Energy) relegates that need to pivot, although consumes a turn that may be catastrophic against offensive teams, or against a lure. Additionally, while Hydreigon has great defensive presence with Dragon/Dark-typing and Levitate, its speed prevents it from being an outright sweeper, which is a blessing. Because of this most stall teams with Wish-passing and recovery can play around most Hydreigon variants so long as they have a mon that can threaten Hydreigon (and any switch) in return like Mach Punch Tech Breloom, Garchomp or Volcarona. Overall, Hydreigon is an outstanding offensive threat and having Draco Meteor makes it even better. The TC will continue to assess whether it's too good for OU, or if it's a top tier mon that is very threatening but manageable. Also, arguments against Draco Hydrei because of UU movements are not valid. If a UU mon can check a top tier threat in OU, then that's great, and probably says a lot about that threat too.
  9. We're going to celebrate the Christmas event anniversary soon enough. Don't you worry fam.
  10. When a mon moves up from underused, it become overused. C'mon chow, do better.
  11. Man just hustled for deets and didn't share his own. Massive play.
  12. The real question, will arcanine ever be played outside dubs again?!
  13. As I often write about in threads like this, the early days of PokeMMO were some of the best. I can still remember the hours spent sitting alongside the beach at Cinnabar Island with LYLE (#1) trying to catch the perfect Shellder or Staryu to take the competitive scene by storm, or watching uMadBrah lose to a speed-tie and raging for hours, or sitting at the Game Corner trying to get enough coin to buy the elemental TM's... I can still recall the scams going down as players frantically tried to calculate IV's, or hearing about the legendary Shiny Chansey that would never be traded, or wandering into a random noob who would trade you a rare shiny for their favorite pokemon... I can remember the hours (and days and weeks and months) spent riding up and down Cycling Road waiting on eggs to hatch, or realizing the Lucky Eggs you horded were no longer of value, or finding one of your OT's in trade chat after you traded the sad pokemon for a few pennies to keep the addiction alive. I can remember the good old days. The days when tournaments weren't automated, when players had respect for one another (and didn't), and when glory was all we wanted. I can remember the battles between DrewIII and JSTUD, Frags and KingBowser, Walpayer and NikhilR, all of Aura and myself... I can remember TheBloo when he was a fucking CHAD and I can remember the best sigmaker ever (sorry Platoons, we all know it's eggroll) and I can remember the many, many, many banks I had (thank you players of LYLE who had a single purpose of funding my addiction). I can remember that first tournament win, and my last... I can remember the adrenaline rush of all those team tournaments we claimed ours... and that time we were dead and almost won the cup of the year. I can remember the bros and the boys, I can remember...
  14. My man. I'll log tonight and send you the cash.
  15. Your OT? Mail me a perfect with 1 attack and I'll mail you the cash bro.
  16. @gbwead Seeing Chow's comments recently, I now understand where you were coming from, no matter how exaggerated and melodramatic you were when P2 was first banned and arguing about semantics. My apologies. Wenby #1.
  17. Ah yes, that's right Porygon2 was banned for being an offensive uber. How could I forget... oh wait because it wasn't. It was banned for being unhealthy for the tier and too good not to use. Its offensive and defensive traits played into that, but neither of which determined the ban.
  18. Smallest offensive threat is ban criteria? Sorry CM Blissey, you gotta go.
  19. Cringe alone does not meet ban criteria.
