  2. make an item called ocarina bag that holds all the ocarinas so that when its in the tool bar you can press it and then have a menu come up that asks which ocarina you want to use. this menu could also have key binds so its easier to use. e.g. u press 1 to pull up menu from toolbar, then 1 to use fly ocarina.

  4. I beated the e4 and I felt the hardest fight by a lot was Whitney. I think it would have been a lot easier if we had been able to bring other pre-trained pokemon from other regions like we would be able to on live. For someone starting on johto tho that fight would definitely be really annoying. My strat for beating it was basically mudshot with croc > get attracted > swap to a sac > go back to croc and keep mudshotting until it was -6 and then setting up an xattack on it. I don't like that the only way to beat hax was with your own hax but i know whitney has the reputation of being the most annoying gym to beat so i understand it. I think the removal of sitrus berry and potion will help. I think the only other fight i wiped to was the rival battle in the goldenrod underground but that was probably more because i didn't have a good team composition I think at that point i was still only useing magnezone and feraligator lastly the e4 was very easy i'm not sure if it was intentional or not but you were able to save your progress when u wiped so you would just basically throw yourself at the battles until you lose. ii beat will first try > wiped on koga > beat koga > wiped on bruno > beat bruno > wiped on karen > beat karen > wiped on lance > beat lance. i remeber karen being harder than lance but again probably because of my team composition (at that point feraligator, magnezone, gengar, and a lvl 42 donphan that didnt do mch). i guess at the end of it all you can say that you maybe would have beaten them had the healing after every member mechanic been in place

  7. In runescape there is an NPC that takes from the player the raw ingredients of a potion and for a fee will combine them into unfinished potions. This is because the making of unfinished potions is very tedious and gives virtually zero experience. I propose that there be added in every daycare an NPC that will take the raw ingredients (dittos + some other speicies of pokemon) + a fee and combine them to make eggs of that pokemon. In addition to this the same NPC could hold something like a 'shiny charge' where you would give the NPC shiny charms that would allow the 10% extra chance for a shiny. Each charm would be worth something like 500 charges where one charge would be used for each egg created. This value could be tweaked so as to balance it. Perhaps it should be lower since the method would be easier. Another balance feature might be something like 'rotten egg' where some percent of the eggs created become rotten due to the speed at which the NPC makes them. I feel like this would solve a few issues: 1.) This would act as a poke-yen sink which would aid the economy. Depending on the fee the NPC takes to make the eggs, millions, if not billions of poke-yen could be removed from the game that otherwise wouldn't have been. 2.) This serves as a good trade-off between grind and money, allowing players to choose whether they wish to go the long route and save money or spend a little more to more easily get their desired result. 3.) It is obvious to anyone who has tried hunting for a very rare shiny that without the use of custom strings, the process would take at least twice as long. However, many aren't aware of custom strings, many do not want to install them simply for this one aspect of the game, and many times they cause lots of issues being improperly installed. Please suggest any changes or potential issues you might see with the suggestion One I thought of was how exactly it would work. I think obviously it would be different from the breeder in that it would just take the number of dittos and an equal number of different species and pop out randomly IVd pokemon. That might be an issue because you could potentially get 31 IV children from non-31 IV parents so maybe these eggs would have a lower chance of getting good IVs.
  8. I think you do get lure encounter fishing ive seen kingdra from lure at slateport when fishing. and yes you get the pokemon at the higher level but it seems to impact the encounter rate. dratini felt a lot less common than basculin but i only did little testing on it so maybe i have to do more
  9. is it worth to use lures at places like staryu (rt 13) or dragonspiral fishing? it seems like staryu and dratini levels don't go up to the lure lvl 56. although i find a dratini once at dragonspiral with level 56 and lure.. confusing.
  10. basically there is the pokemmo's own strings files and then the game strings files. here is a guide on how it works if your interested and here is another user's strings that include the breeding strings and a bunch of other ones. if you're interested in the breeding alone let me know and I can make the custom file for you but this guide as it is doesn't include those last two textboxes because it was made before the other string mods
