5th OT, Shiny Ditto. It's not quite what I was looking for, I wanted a good sp def stat to breed with my Milotic, but I mean...I can't complain!

There are wild Chansey in Sinnoh. I always assumed they were going to remove them, but they did this instead. So, I guess we just have to wait until Sinnoh drops to take advantage of this or something.

Team Luna decided to have a team Shiny hunting event at Lostlorn Forest for Petilil, and within an hour we ended up getting two shinies. @Skits and @Lillabon are the lucky peeps. SRIF as always.

4th OT! Bad stats, but hey...that's shiny hunting. Still, one of my favorite shinies. <3

I'm so jealous, I spent two weeks looking for this little bastard. Congrats! Guess I'm going hardcore to be the first Shiny Oshawott owner now.

I realized my mistake only after it was too late. Though I don't plan on breeding it again so I guess it doesn't matter.

I was unhappy with the IVs and nature, so I bought a Tentacool on the GTS and upgraded. Impish nature, but with the 30 att IVs I can just make it physical. I'm way happier with this one, though. Plus it's still OT.

Unbelievable, 726 encounters in and I've got my third OT. I was just burning easy encounters so I felt better about single encountering Gothita, but hey you know what I'll take it.

Second OT, two weeks of non-sweet scent hunting and two donor status tickets. I was looking for Snivy of course but damn I'm happy either way.

I see a guy with a shiny Volcarona every day I'm doing my gym rematches. I don't know if it's a gift shiny, but there is at least one other. Oops, nevermind. I guess I forgot what shiny Volcarona looks like.

In fairness, depending on whether or not it's a simple to make change I think it's something that should be considered. I've always found it weird how the Gym Leaders and Elite 4 in Kanto have their good looking HG/SS sprites, but in Hoenn they look like they do in Pokemon Emerald. Even if it can (and likely has) been done through mods, it's just something that would be nice if it was actually officially in the game.

That's different, this is to prevent things like accidents. An Abra teleporting is just an unfortunate circumstance inherent to a shiny Abra. Same goes for Safari Zone Pokemon.

If you throw a masterball it should be your own fault too by your logic, yet they added in a safety measure to prevent it. That's because this is a valuable thing, and they don't want you to lose it due to a mistake. Shinies are also valuable things that shouldn't be lost due to mistakes. Your answer isn't even really an answer, it's a dismissal without any real weight behind it.

I dunno, I guess I just don't like the thought of a captcha being put in the game for something that's meant to be more of an ease of life kind of improvement. Me too, I don't think it's relevant. I wish I had waited to reply to the guy who brought it up after I had really thought about it for awhile.

I honestly wouldn't want there to be a captcha. If it really came down to that being the only way the idea could be implemented I'd just not want it to happen. Though, like I've said, at this point I don't even see how a confirmation window would make botting worse.

There's already an identical thing implemented, which is a confirmation window for when you use a Master Ball. So, when it comes to mistakes that's important enough for a safety measure, and I think encountering a shiny Pokemon should be too personally. As for the coding thing, if they've done it once they could definitely do it again.

The timer thing was just a tangent that the more I think about it seems unnecessary and wouldn't even combat botters. It was also never an automatic timer, it would only start once you clicked the "run" button. However, I'm personally not convinced this would even make botting worse. They can already detect if a shiny is in battle, so they wouldn't even try and run away. The confirmation is only for accidents.

Alright, thanks. I think it's safe to say I should continue breeding to get a better nature then. That was what I really wanted to know, so I don't waste a bunch of money continuing breeding if Careful is the best nature for a standard Breloom.
