happened to me,logged off and completely forgot about my breed,went back to breed another poke and was told I had an egg and not remembering what it was i chose the gender randomly..it just so happened i needed a male and chose a fem to be safe..rip me. great suggestion +1

A more polite way of getting the same point across would be to instead say that his views are misguided,and then proceed to give him the information he needed to make a more educated decision on his view regarding gengar(the latter of which you did)calling him or rather his idea and standpoint stupid is not only degrading but also demoralizes and deters other players from taking part in the discussion(whether or not they make valid points their input is vital to get a broader spectrum on the topic at hand so that healthy discussion and debate can take place)every ones opinion should be given equal respect. the usage list would have told you exactly what you needed to know.... the most used and successful pokemon are what the "common" teams consist of.take the top 20,check their base stats and moves and with that youl get an idea of which pokemon fills what role. I suggest either googling,watching OU tournaments or alternatively just click this link http://smashboards.com/threads/how-to-properly-build-a-pokemon-team.232456/ with that you get a feel for teambuilding,now take the pokemon on the usage list find out their roles(as i suggested)and build a team on those principals.sometimes you need to help yourself a lil,its the only way youl truly learn.
