  1. So what you're saying is I get to look at the back of the hat no matter what angle I'm at? Sounds more like a feature to me!
  2. You deserve a rematch after that crit he got. Totally cost you the game!
  3. This sounds like too much work. Having to hit the same key TWICE? I mean really come on now. I understand that this is still an alpha, but I thought by now we'd have a brain-computer interface so I could close the application without having to actually CLICK THINGS, or hit BUTTONS. Talk about lazy devs.
  4. Looks nice! Not entirely sure if I like how the K overlaps the O though. Looks a bit out of place since the rest of the letters are so orderly. Probably should add an acute accent mark over the E though since that's how Pokémon is officially spelled.
  5. The problem here is that the challenger himself has no way of knowing what he's getting himself into. I could stand around pallet town with a team of level 100's asking for someone to send me a duel request, and they wouldn't know what they're in for until I send out my first pokemon.
  6. I agree that would be a bad idea; I do think that being able to see an opponent's average level+highest level would be good though. It doesn't give the challenger an advantage over the challenged. It lets both sides judge whether it's a fair fight that they want to take.
  7. Or there could be a little pop-up that appears the first time you try to talk in global which says something like: "Are you new here? Have questions that need answering? Before asking them in chat why not check if they're on this FAQ?" Then it would have a link to the FAQ and after you've closed it you would be able to talk in global. Maybe add a list of rules that you need to agree to by checking a little box before you can talk in global like how they do it with ToS agreements.
  8. Seeing how many badges is only going to tell you whether they're completely new or not. Someone with all 8 badges could have a team of lvl 30s, one level 60, or a whole team of lvl 100s. It really doesn't give much information at all since you can get all badges in about 5 hours if you just power through the story.
  9. Which is why many players will choose not to duel strangers at all. I think we should be encouraged to be dueling other players, but with the system as it is now if you want to duel a random person then the person you challenged has all the power. They get to see who will be the likely winner and they get to decide that they want to fight this. If you're challenging someone when much weaker pokemon than chances are they won't accept. If you're challenging someone with equal leveled pokemon they probably won't accept, because they're busy with whatever it is they're doing. If you challenge someone with much stronger pokemon they probably will accept since they can just beat you really fast and go back to what they're doing. This is a bad system that discourages people from dueling strangers because chances are when you finally get someone random to duel with; they are going to have a serious advantage. Sure you could look for someone on global chat who wants to fight, and who has similar leveled pokemon, but I've always felt like the spirit of pokemon was to battle with whoever you can. When you're walking by an NPC chances are they want to battle, and you are forced into it because that's the pokemon way. When Ash met a new person one of the first things he'd always do was battle with them. I think there should be a system that encourages(but doesn't reward) battling with people you've just met.
  10. Shouldn't have doesn't mean they won't. This has been suggested many times, and I've seen a lot of people say that they don't want this changed because they enjoy crushing someone who challenged them with much weaker pokemon.
  11. I think both players should be able to see the average level and max level thing before a fight. It would encourage more players to have random battles. As it is now I'm just plain not going to challenge random people on the street because I don't want to end up going against a guy with a lvl 100 that will sweep my whole team, and I also don't want to end up against someone with a bunch of lvl 20's. Either that or an optional level scaler that will bump all your pokemon's stats up to what they would be at lvl 100 like what happens when you do a wifi battle on D/P/P. Then you would also have a way to have fair fights without having to find someone who has capped all their pokemon at the same level as yours.
  12. TMs were not made with the idea of the game being the way PokeMMO is though. Being able to buy TMs wouldn't just change the economy. It would CREATE an economy. There's not many desirable items that you can buy with pokedollars, so they really don't have much use outside of stocking up on pokeballs, and buying the occasional evolutionary stone. I'm not going to trade my shiny pokemon for 1million pokedollars when I know that nobody is going to want the useless currency. Instead I'm forced to find someone who both wants this pokemon I have, and has something that I want in return. The barter system has many flaws, and is just frustrating at times. If there were a shop that had very expensive TMs then people would actually have a reason to see the pokedollars as having value, and most players would be willing to use it as currency. Currently there is no economy to speak of other than "hey does anyone have this pokemon I want?" "I might have something you want, but probably not..." All limiting TMs does is take away options from players. If there's only one Tbolt TM; choosing which pokemon to give it to, and having to give another pokemon Thunder instead isn't exactly a strategic choice. It's just limiting my choices, and making me have inferior choices, or having to grind my way through the story again for another TM. This is a poor gameplay mechanic, and is not conducive to an MMO.
  13. Rethinking it; it would probably be better if the first time you challenged the Elite 4 Gary/Blue would be the champion like normal, since that's the way the game is supposed to work, and then if you want to re-challenge them it would be replaced by player teams, so that the first time you have the challenge that the game is supposed to offer, but it would be a bit harder if you want to keep doing it to grind pokebux and experience.
  14. The website I come from is better than whatever website you came from and I'm going to make sure you feel bad about it.

  15. I meant more like replacing gary's sprite with the player's, and all the dialogue that would normally be about gary is about the player.
