  12. Oh to be more specific, what I'm talking about is having each match spawn a chat that dies after the match is over. I don't really see a need for tourney wide chat if every match, including matchmaking m, has its own chat thread
  13. Let me preface this by saying: the main problem I see here is implementation. This could be anywhere from a little bit of work to a terribly frustrating amount of dev work. But...   I think it'd be awesome to have chat rooms for Automated Matches (Tourny, Ranked, Matchmaking). As is, the feel of tournaments is slightly off because you can't talk shit without keeping 20 message threads alive. And now that random matches aren't by default in an area where lots of people hang out, you lose the fun of being able to hang out in a hub with friends and watch battles. The pros of chat are obvious, really, it's one of the most enjoyable parts of other PVP games, and I'd be surprised if it weren't already on the dev docket.   At any rate, just thought I'd put this here so the suggestion's out in public, I've already heard a lot of people saying they want this in game.

  16. I'm all for scaling- we already know that the devs have the tech to scale pokes down to 50 and it would make the frontier suck less for sure.
  17. I think darkshade just /thread'd you - having a ton of people milling about in the existing cities makes the game look lively which keeps players from falling into the "no one plays this game, it must suck" mindset

    I think DS hits the nail on the head as far as tradeable content goes - people will just alt the shit out of this. Not to mention that if all you have to do is log in, many players will do that and nothing else - daily free shit doesn't promote actively participating in the game.

  21. It's pretty easy to get high happiness solely through leveling.. I'd be surprised if the devs signed off on this unless it was a very minor buff to very high levels of happiness (like 100% gets you one extra IV passed or something)   Overall, it's not a bad idea, but I think if happiness could be raised by means other than totally mindless grinding (leveling, biking with Soothe Bell) then it'd be more of a positive change. As it stands, this would only benefit people with enough free time to bike their pokes around for hours (or grind trainers) and I'd prefer to see buffs to breeding that weren't super time consuming but required some skill (maybe through trainer challenges, BP, dungeons or special loot gained from dungeons).
