Being new and unprepared isn't trolling, but accessing matchmaking for higher tier raids (4✫ and above) will require beating multiple raids of the tier below them. This won't prevent people from entering with bad teams, but should improve the overall quality of teammates you can receive in solo queue for the more difficult raids that demand better teams and teamwork.

I keep comparing this to WoW but that's the MMO I played the most, and I agree with that being a requirement. To be able to join the equivalent of the matchmaking queue for raids you need to have a certain "gear score" (I know that's not the name for it anymore etc etc) and you get said gear from dungeons, so you must've engaged with similar mechanics before trying to join the harder endgame content.

I know you guys have already a lot on your plate, but it would also be nice if we had different difficulties for the same raid, kinda like, again, in WoW you get the normal, heroic and mythic raids, each giving different (and better) loot the harder they get; but essentialy being the same raid overall. The bosses and adds just have additional mechanics on top of the ones they have on the mode before, deal more damage, etc

So translating this into what we already could see in PokeMMO, maybe the normal mode for the Excadrill raid would be players being able to replace its sandstorm/it not having Sand Rush, the heroic mode would be what we got with it summoning Sandstorm* on turn 1, and maybe the mythic mode could be what we got + unbounceable Stealth Rock besides buffed stats. This would also require players to bring better bred mons for the raid, we would be able to beat the normal difficulty with whatever mon that can hit supereffectively, and progressively require perfectly IV'd and natured mons the harder the mode. Of course you guys can get way more creative than me in this 5 minutes-thought post, but I hope I explained myself good enough 😛

  2. Starmie is perfectly fine for Unova, it's what I've used the most throughout all of my runs. Maybe 2x Starmie just to be sure in case of Sturdies and whatnot but yea, way more than enough.

What I do for EV training them is the poor man's Training Link: equip an Exp Share on all 6 mons and beat low level hordes like Nidorino near Fuchsia, gives enough exp to reach level 20 and not go over it while being able to EV them to the max cap

I tried that moving multiple mons to the account box (in and out) works perfectly fine for me 🙂 (Setup is windows 11 PC)

So I don't think it's the case for everyone @Doctor, I personnally didn't even know it was being an issue for other people 😞

Damn, gonna make that ticket then. Like I said, I just assumed it was a generalized issue and thought it’d eventually get fixed when devs got the time to do so

I can't give a precise ETA at this stage, but it will take some time as we're working on improving and expanding the feature. The version previewed didn't include several intended balancing and QoL/polish changes, and was limited to some of the simpler custom effects we're planning to include. The event gave us a better idea of how players approach them and how we can improve the overall experience too.

There's still a fair bit to do to get them feeling as good as we'd like them to and to create a greater variety of boss strategies to build around. We're aiming to launch them in a state we're proud of, and hoping it will be worth the wait.

I mean, at their current state, they're already absolutely amazing. Had so much fun doing them with friends as soon as the new ones were getting released, having banter in link chat, insulting the AI just for it to obliterate us the next turn, etc. Can't wait to see what you guys are gonna do with them next but the overall experience was no doubt the best part of the entire event for me

The real problem is some people consider. Ik a guy with basically 3 accounts and 7 characters, he breed 1 team to farm gym in each one of them. And don't ask how he has time to play 7 accounts, I don't know and that's not my problem. Now, he has like, 4 teams to sell basically because he needs just 3.

Realistically, no, people don't really do that unless they're crazy rich and bored. You just transfer the mons between accounts and that's it. Source: I have 8 alts.

Mail costs money. Assuming a 5 mon team, you'll spend $1600 mailing. on 50 farming days you already spended $80000 with transfering. That is using 1 account. Using 2 is $160000 after 50 farms. Long-term before, it would be better to have a fresh new team in a alt over mailing it. And that's considering the re-scale on the mails. Before was 1 mon at time, $5000 to transfer everything. taking the 50-day scale, you spend $250000 with transfer to an alt. $500000 with two characters.

I don't think substracting $1600 from a $300,000+ rerun is that big of an issue considering you get that by paydaying 3 wild mons but oh well

  7. All we know it’s somewhere inbetween the 1/1001 and 1/7999 bracket if I remember correctly, and I also think it’s because they wanted a comfortable enough range to tell us while adjusting it to make it fair for everyone. But like with everything related to probability, it shouldn’t matter that much for us knowing the actual rate, in the sense that you can get lucky and get it in 500 encounters or go up to 20000 completely dry. Don’t let yourself bitter your experience by tracking it and watching it go above odds, it’s just a matter of time as long as you hunt it somewhat regularly ^^

You got proven how Volcarona is indeed not unhealthy even when paired with Dugtrio. You gave an example of a completely different meta with a devastating mechanic in the form of Terastalize banning a 135 base special attack, 100 base speed Pokémon with access to Quiver Dance banning it THEN unbanning it. Like gb said, there are many arguments to be had about Dugtrio, it enabling other Pokémon certainly isn't one of them as was already extensively proven and discussed in the Dugtrio ban discussion thread. But sure, Dugtrio should be banned because Tera Blast Ground/Water/Fairy Tera Type Volcarona hits hard in SV OU.

You can stop trying to spin this into a volcarona ban, this isn't what we're talking about.

my fault, next time I'll focus on not pointing out the wrong arguments I guess

Magcargo has never been a OU mon while sand rush excadrill has been part of OU since it was introduced. Nice strawman?

What is this even supposed to mean? Excadrill has been an OU staple for the longest time, even with Dugtrio around. Why are you so adamant on insisting it's not viable at all? It has a 9-12% usage throughout the past 5 months, and has been spammed in Sand teams long before Mold Breaker was introduced for it.

Unhealthy and having counters/checks aren't the same thing.

Pretty much is if said counters and checks constitute a quarter of the metagame and also happen to counter and check more stuff so you're not including them JUST to counter Volcarona. Unless "unhealthy" here means "I lose to it", you can have a not well thought out team and of course you will lose to very common threats in the metagame. Has nothing to do with Volcarona itself, there are many teams that straight up lose to Mamoswine for example and it doesn't make Mamo an unhealthy mon. Can't win them all.

    40 minutes ago, Laughs said:

Like I said, you are forced to run one of these very few counters if you don't want to auto lose to volcarona.

How is a literal 1/4th of the OU metagame "very few counters"? Not even taking into account mons that by usage are in UU. "If you don't want to lose to Volcarona you have to use at least one mon from this list that constitutes an entire quarter of the meta" is not an argument.

    40 minutes ago, Laughs said:

Smogon has banned volcarona in the past

No they haven't. If you're referring to the SV OU metagame, as if it were remotely comparable to ours and not taking into account Terastalize for whatever reason, Gliscor got banned before Indigo Disk dropped as well. Guess we should also ban Gliscor since it got banned in a generation that is not relevant at all to our metagame.

I just dyed my PokeMMO Cap and Trainer's Jacket. I had both items equipped and I dyed them from gray to red. When I dyed them, they stayed the same color. The game still took my reward points, so I'm not sure what to do.

Have you tried taking them off and putting them on again? Maybe it’s just a matter of your character sprite not reloading the vanity ^^
