Fire Red and Emerald are the games you actually get to "play" in PokeMMO. Heart Gold and Soul Silver are just graphical upgrades such as higher quality battle sprites and the ability to have Pokemon follow you.

This would be a nice feature, but reusable discs or unbreakable discs would do the opposite of give another money sink. Also: It wouldn't make much sense to buy a blank TM when you can buy most TMs directly from stores or GTL

The closest would be a Dusk Stone (Introduced in Gen 4 or 5) Also: Happiness increases from using the Pokemon in battle, giving it certain berries, and just by having it with you while you walk/run/bike/surf around

Try using a fresh copy of Fire Red.

Thanks for the clarification. I couldn't remember Raichu's speed, so I went to Smogon to double check and forgot that Gen6 changed some base stats.

It increases both Atk and Sp. Atk I'm not too familiar with the PokeMMO meta at the moment, but I can at least inform you that Raichu will be faster (110 speed compared to Pikachu's 90) and have a bit more bulk while Pikachu will hit harder with a light ball (110 Atk 100 Sp. Atk compared to Raichu's 90 Atk and Sp. Atk)

You can edit your rom to display any sprite you wish. There's a guide somewhere on how to do this, but I'm not too sure where it is anymore. (This edited sprite will appear for anybody you spectate too though)

EVs are points you gain upon defeating a pokemon. Four of these points in a specific stat will increase that stat. The EVs gained vary depending on what pokemon you defeat. The EV spread you want on a pokemon depends on which pokemon it is and how you want to run them.

I was playing it on 10, but then I had to return my graphics card to a friend I was borrowing it from and my computer's integrated card is unsupported on 10 ;-;
