Hey there! First joined in April 2013 and haven't played since probably early 2016/17. A lot has changed in the years I've been gone!

That'd be because MMO's shiny rate is lower than any of the handhelds.

Shinies are a lie. I once spent 5 hours fishing Magikarp hoping for a shiny (Surprisingly didn't get a captcha) and found none.

Bad updates
in Trash
Not a lot we can do about updates like those.
1. Sacrificing parents for breeding was to balance breeding stopping us from making copies of perfect pokemon, thus killing the economy
2. Money was reset when the money system was reworked so that newer players wouldn't be given such a huge disadvantage since money was much easier to get beforehand
3. More economy balancing

- Player Rivals: Basically these people would be those who travel with you or compete with you. You would add them as a rival and all your battles would be for experience. Could help add for the theme PokeMMO goes for.
- Trainers with the same gym badges as you who use HM's like strength and cut is used in your game as well: Another thing that adds to the player interaction theme of PokeMMO.
- More tourneys that you can use Ubers and Over Used tiers: I understand it's up to the host, but there are barely any and most people I know, including myself train those tiers.
- Put a countermeasure to not allow people to trade pokemon to themselves through others: This is something that I am not sure is already in, but if not this should be added to prevent abuse of the system.
Player rivals: Easy to abuse for free exp
Sharing overworld HM effects: Let's skip the SS Anne by having a friend cut down the tree in-front of Vermillion gym!
Tournament tiers: Literally nothing staff can do. Entirely up to the host.
Assisted self-trading: Is this really a problem?

so good. let's hear it ! now this game is almost perfect from every point of view ! Great pvp system (also in double! ) Bf , breeding etc. Now we must take the next step ( a big step ) implement other hats , other hats , other hats , other hats .... and .... other hats . many, too many people now can not wait ! staff we do not ask you a new hats ( with new hats on them etc. ) just tomorrow, but we ask you to start putting in your " radar" of the future update

I rather think that after the last update and the failure of the berries system, the staff should think fit to implement a new region if it wants to keep those few remaining users . you need to give a jolt to this game now ! and a new region would be appropriate
Except for the fact that making the region from scratch in a GBA environment would take at least a month or two of non-stop work
