1. RacheLucario said something about canon, not me, assuming your whole post is directed to me. "Like other MMOs have" We shouldn't use other MMOs as example. About the whole thing about it not being able to get multiples of it, the lottery chance isn't the only way: I always lead with a Smeargle with Spore and False Swipe, except in EV training or unlocking flags. I never found a shiny before and I am prepared for it, thank you very much for your advices. Note that I suggested a high price. I even put 1 million as example, but the first replies were "I wouldn't pay 1 million, therefore the suggestion is bad". If the players would pay a lot of money, which represents time and effort spent, I don't see why it is "pamper the players". May I ask why are you attacking like that? Like I offended you or something.
2. One thing doesn't exclude the other. It is possible having purchasable Masterball and also as prize in a lottery. If they will implement some kind of lottery, that is another suggestion/discussion. Personally, I think the prize of a lottery should be pure money, but that is subjective. The masterball isn't for free, you would pay a large amount of money to having one, if you are thinking the players would buy 99 masterballs. You make masterball sounds like op, but what use we have now in the game? I am not considering legendary pokémons, I will consider them when the devs implement. And Mewtwo, like I said, don't belong to any trainer for much time. But ok, let's consider legendary pokémons for now. Assuming all the legendaries will be implemented, nothing prevents the player keeping his masterball for it and use it. And when he feels necessary, create an alt run and use the masterball of the alt run to capture another legendary. "Also harder to catch shinies that have an"escape" move should not be a reason for its implementation." You didn't explain why. You don't need now, but having the option isn't bad. That is like saying you don't need assurance because your chances to die are too low.
3. Can you link me the suggestion, please?
4. Edited the OP to add similar suggestions of sources of Masterball. 200k~300k is a good price, imo.
5. You will use a pokémon with Damp only if is shiny hunting. Otherwise you probably won't carry one. And if carry, probably isn't the lead.
6. A wild Shiny Koffing appeared. Go random pokémon without Spore, Taunt or Damp. Random pokémon come back. Go Smeargle with Spore. Foe Shiny Koffing used Selfdestruct. You don't have to, but in some situations, is better to use. Edit: Yes, I forgot about the box. Could be too.
7. That wouldn't be a money sink, it would be a Titanic sink.
8. If everyone is going to make fun of the price, I will remove it, for godsake.
9. It was an example, it doesn't need to be necessarily this price. I won't create a new suggestion just to find a proper price. If you have a good price in mind, help me with this.
10. Suggestion: Put Masterball to sell in Celadon Mart, Game Corner, or other place, for a high price. Pros: - Money Sink; - Give the players more chances to capture shiny pokémons with detrimental moves (Selfdestruct, Explosion, Roar, Whirwind); Cons: - Convenience; - Decrease the value of shiny pokémons with detrimental moves (Selfdestruct, Explosion, Roar, Whirwind). (not sure about this one, tho; I am not a shiny trader) Before someone says it is completely different from the original games: In the original games, it is possible to trade Masterball and make an "alt run" in a rom, pass the Masterball and other things, and then reset the game. Note that isn't cheating, it is totally possible without much effort. So if we should follow the original games, the Masterball should be tradeable, which is bad for PokeMMO. The main function of the Masterball in PokeMMO is capture shiny pokémons, since there is no legendaries (Mewtwo keeps changing of trainer every 10 min, so is not worthy using a Masterball) to use it. We have a shiny market and shiny traders and making Masterball more accessible is justifiable. It would make Masterball less rare, but let's be honest, Masterball is worthless because you can't trade it and can be used just once. So it is worthless and not that useful, because you can't get more unless you create other character and play with the character. And even if the staff starting to put Masterball in every tournament as prize in the 2nd or 3rd place, it still wouldn't have the potential as money sink. Edit: Other similar suggestions with possible sources of Masterball were made in the topic: - Trainer Tower; - PVP reward; - Dungeons; - Mystery Box.
11. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but... Why can't we buy shirts and pants in celadon mart? We can't change it even in Gift Shop.
12. The creator of the topic didn't explain, but he has a point. The EV training is, in fact, unbalanced. HP, special defense, speed and attack are okay, while defense and mainly special attack has issues. Let's start with special attack. Actually we have two options to pure special attack training: Gastly/Haunter in Pokémon Tower and Slugma in Ruby Path. In Pokémon Tower the inability to run or bike decreases the encounter rate, making the EV training in special attack a nightmare (pun intended). And now the vitamins are really expensive, so you have to do the 126 training, not the 76 anymore. In Ruby Path, there are two problems: The location is isolated, so you have to spend money with repels, or face the sea of Tentacool + grass + cave, consuming time instead money. And the level range is high, forcing you to level your pokémon to a high level or use Exp. Share, which disables the use of Macho Brace. Biking is allowed, but if you use Exp. Share, you have to do the whole 252 training. The defense is not problematic as special attack, but still is limited. The Tangela have a level range 17-28, so you forced to level up your pokémon to 30+ or use Exp. Share, which disables Macho Brace. Comparing with the other effort points, these are more time/money consuming. The ideas already existing are: 1. Allow biking, running or increasing the encounter rate (OP idea) in Pokémon Tower; 2. Change the vitamins price to a suitable price. I assume nobody is rich in this game to pay 980k for 100 evs in a stat. This should be changed after the changelog 14/10. 3. Alter the encounter rates for better EV Training. When I made this suggestion, I didn't explain the importance and I focused only in defense evs, ignoring the special attack, but I am planning remake the suggestion.
13. Instead of the forum picture, could be a customized sprite, like the one in your signature, Greck. Edit:

14. I understood the story without reading, but I will translate to english:
Perera: We have to beat Lt. Surge. If I got my fourth badge, we go to Lavender, where I can catch a ghost pokémon. Perera: Punch (Teddiursa), we have to bring those slates (?) for Lucian. Perera: Wow! I got a a big one! Perera: Is this really a pokémon? It is useless. It is weak and pathetic. Perera: Done. I got rid of it. Wake up, Punch... Perera: What? Is there something else in the pokédex? *Magikarp data* Perera: Now we can go... Punch: Teddy!
15. k, I will remove. The players change pokémons of tiers every week, it is not my fault. I will change it, thank you.
16. The registration time happening at the same time of other official tournament is intentional? Because you just ignored and I would like to know.
17. The registration time is at the same time of Battle of Tiers.
18. You made that signature with Trafalgar Law?
19. Kinda outdated, but I think it can help. https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/topic/28036-guide-breeding-chains/
