About as direct as you can get. Nobody is trying to act like anything, I could care less about the theres.
that is the persons fault for killing the other person, not marijuana. the person chose to use marijuana, then chose to drive. shouldnt drive on drugs just like you shouldnt drive drunk.
Alcohol is on the same level as weed, cigarettes are not. Both alcohol and weed should be illegal.
Deaths a year cause by cigarettes

443,000 deaths annually (including deaths from secondhand smoke)
49,400 deaths per year from secondhand smoke exposure
269,655 deaths annually among men
173,940 deaths annually among women

http://www.cdc.gov/t...ated_mortality/

deaths by alcohol

-80,000 (not world wide)

Then u have Marijuana.....which is...

-ZERO
(Marijuana Safety - DEA Administrative Law Judge's Ruling) "3. The most obvious concern when dealing with drug safety is the possibility of lethal effects. Can the drug cause death? "4. Nearly all medicines have toxic, potentially lethal effects. But marijuana is not such a substance. There is no record in the extensive medical literature describing a proven, documented cannabis-induced fatality. "5. This is a remarkable statement. First, the record on marijuana encompasses 5,000 years of human experience. Second, marijuana is now used daily by enormous numbers of people throughout the world. Estimates suggest that from twenty million to fifty million Americans routinely, albeit illegally, smoke marijuana without the benefit of direct medical supervision. Yet, despite this long history of use and the extraordinarily high numbers of social smokers, there are simply no credible medical reports to suggest that consuming marijuana has caused a single death. "6. By contrast aspirin, a commonly used, over-the-counter medicine, causes hundreds of deaths each year. "7. Drugs used in medicine are routinely given what is called an LD-50. The LD-50 rating indicates at what dosage fifty percent of test animals receiving a drug will die as a result of drug induced toxicity. A number of researchers have attempted to determine marijuana's LD-50 rating in test animals, without success. Simply stated, researchers have been unable to give animals enough marijuana to induce death. "8. At present it is estimated that marijuana's LD-50 is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response. "9. In practical terms, marijuana cannot induce a lethal response as a result of drug-related toxicity." Source: US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, "In the Matter of Marijuana Rescheduling Petition" (Docket #86-22), September 6, 1988, p. 56-57.
I think all illegal drugs should stay that way. Illegal. I know if marijuana became legal, it could be taxed, but why sell something that will harm people? Yes, that includes weed. /thread
......cigarettes and alcohol...????? do 100% more harm than "weed"

i dont smoke weed to be cool, or to get high, or relieve depression. I smoke because i have had horrible anxiety since i could remember...along with weird stomach issues we haven't figured out yet. Panic attacks, stomach cramps, sweaty palms, terrible thoughts. i started smoking on and off since i was 16,(im now 22) in between trying holistic remedies/over the counter drugs like xanax, valium and other shitty pills.i hated the way they made me feel so i figured a couple puffs every couple hours keeps my anxiety and stomach issues away. I do not smoke enough to feel lazy (and if i did i would be fucked since i work full time and have a 9month old) or any other unmotivating side affects... dont get me wrong i used to indulge when i was a kid along with many other drugs..But i definitely think marijuana should be legal. i live in a city where its decriminalized and my boyfriend has his medical card. Marijuana does amazing things for sick people and its a drug that has been looked down upon for too long. Alcohol kills many people a year and im pretty sure marijuana has not killed a single soul..but like someone said everything needs to be taken in moderation. There are definitely some lazy ass dumb stoners out there in the world...^_^v
