Simply cant be harder than scripting a whole new regions storyline, maps etc.... Youre greatly exaggerating.

Help them do it then? Since you definitely know ALL about the work going into it, you should actually help.

2-4% sound like a huuuge exaggeration as well, and we wont be able to know if youre telling the truth unless you dump worldwide stats from the server.  2-4% is about the amount of the world that can even afford good PCs.  Everyone else is using old architecture that likely wont support open gl 2.0.

"Good PCs," glad to know I'm in the top 4% (according to you?). If your computer doesn't have OpenGL 2.0 to start with, it's very likely that you aren't on PokeMMO.

That card is leagues above what im using, and im super poor living in america, I can only imaging how many people exist below this benchmark.

Most of the people below the benchmark can't play PokeMMO to begin with.

Yeah not true man, the update affects like hundreds of different graphics card becoming incompatible.  Many many of us wont be able to play any longer.

  2. Man, I won't sit here and tell you "Hurr durr, just buy another PC," but chances are, if you're playing PokeMMO right now, you have a decent enough PC to play it post-Unova. When the first PTS came out for it, my craptop with Windows 7 Home, 4GB RAM, an outdated i3 processor, and (laugh while I'm giving you the opportunity) Intel HD 3000 Graphics card in it, which has a grand total of 64MB of dedicated VRAM. This piece of heck laptop still played PokeMMO PTS with no issues in terms of 3D rendering and smoothness. As Desu and Xela have stated before: From a developer's standpoint, it makes no sense to cater to a very small amount of people that might not have 1.5GB of RAM on their computers or a graphics card that isn't compatible with OpenGL 2.0 or higher. Chances are is that if you can currently play PokeMMO as it is, you will be able to play post-Unova.

Pokémon has had voice chat since gen 4 and even online chess servers has voice chat lol.  Its really not much to ask for. A game does not need to be an FPS to warrant voice chat at all.  The fact anyone could be opposed to voice chat is hilarious.  At least I didn't say "hey add voice chat lulz" I offered a workaround that saves server resources.

Yes, yes. I'm sure everyone screamed "FUCK SHIT" in their DS microphones when using Chatter. You're pitching an idea to a developer to create a script to create a small Discord(3rd party service, that I'm pretty sure PokeMMO doesn't officially use) server, and have the players voice chat on that, which is not worth the time and effort to create and implement when I'm certain there are other things that are much higher on the "priority list" for the developers. Aside from that, you could create your own Discord server for your friends if you want someone to coach you mid-battle.

MMO + Voice Chat = Dank

Comp games are all about talking shit over the mic bro.  It makes the game feel more "real" and literally makes it more fun too.  For those who dont wish to talk with your opponent, just dont click the Voice Chat link.

Yes, an immersive competitive massively multiplayer online game so realistic and astounding, and its about.. pixelated Pokemon. This isn't the hottest FPS game on whichever console is best these days, so it isn't necessary. The futility of this suggestion is like getting on a seesaw where a Groudon is on the other side.

may as well implement this first.  its just 1 animation that applies to every pokemon in the game.

Ye I'd love to have it in there ASAP, but I can only imagine what the dev's priority list looks like atm. They'll probably touch up on side projects after Unova's released.

This suggestion pertains to the existing regions.  Im aware unova has seasons and im basically assuming that that wont carry over to the older regions but maybe im wrong.

I imagine they'll get seasons working in the older regions AFTER Unova is implemented and completely working and stable. After all, they have to make the Unova stuff work before they can put Unova stuff on Kanto/Hoenn stuff.

I also wouldn't expect a "Yeah we'll be working on that" from the devs in the next hour or so, but this suggestion is something that the devs can keep in mind for after Unova is completely finished and polished.

  7. An exaggerated million of people have attempted this very same thing. And it never works. I thought PokeMMO had a reliable TeamSpeak server so you could use that, or find one of the other underground PokeMMO Discords since the staff will pretty much tell you the same thing: "We don't support an official Discord server blah blah," and who gives a heck about non-official crap? Try not to waste your time but good luck if you do.

  8. I can definitely relate to the brainless shiny hunt. You get so used to clicking "Run."
But someone can argue that the same concept applies to reading text in the chat -- rather than recognizing a different color, making this kinda useless in a way.
