  1. Thank god Pre-evo move learning is a thing. However, I'm afraid I'll have to say no. This is a move which is so significant that tiers would no longer be accurate, not even close. I'd even argue the right way to do tiering after introducing a move like this is to do it all again. And all we would get as a reward is a move which was banned mostly by being uncompetitive and we might easily think "well shit, this was a bad idea". I'd wish Baton Pass would at least enforced in Ubers. And in addition if we want Ubers to be something playable then Salamence + maybe Wobbu ban could be on place but that's a discussion for other time.
  2. If there's one thing this game can do is to make yen constantly increase its value. Literally every update. You might have your whatever statistics about how much yen there is around but when it's mostly centralized to shiny traders, all the competitive players are hitting poverty and meanwhile the yen just increases its value overtime because the demand for it is so high. It's almost like devs are afraid there's more money around than there are to use it. But let me just tell this is completely false. If it costs on average of 6-12 million just to breed ONE perfect competitive team and most competitive players want pretty much all the relevant Pokemon of their tier and many people play multiple tiers, then you can just imagine how far we're now in a situation we have more money than to use it. Not everyone plays competitively, yes, but like I argued everything on this economy bases on competitive play. People who play that will have demand to those people's stuff. What comes to grinding, well basically you're ruining your own game by making it too hard.
  3. Started in October 2012, 5k hours, not a single OT shiny. Yeah, I'm confirmed to be found bot as well.
  4. Reasons 1-5000 why CB Pert > Stealth Rock Pert. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-270357169
  5. Alright me and gbwead tried with some 4x attacks to clearly indicate the difference and with enough attempts and calcs we're safe to say the type-enhancing boost at this moment is only 10%.
  6. If you ask me I would show green light to Life Orb, Choice Scarf and Choice Specs but this is probably the most "easy" thing to implement considering the way this game approaches for later gen mechanics.
  7. I went through last 4-5 changelogs to make sure I haven't missed anything and I didn't find anything regarding this. If this is the case could someone link it? Edit: I Ctrl + F'd "enhancing" and even "type" for the first page of update logs and nothing so pretty sure it's still 10%.
  8. This was discussed briefly somewhere in 2013 or something but that is so far back I felt like opening a new discussion to this. Now that we have got into the mood of implementing later gen stuff I thought there's one more later gen thing that it could discussed whether our competitive experience would benefit from this. Basically from Generation 4 onward type-enhancing items was changed to give 20% damage boost compared to the 10% we're having in Generation 3. In our current state with 10% boost on the types these things are literally never used at all. Even in later generations even with 20% damage boost these items are really unpopular, you can just check Smogon and see how commonly is type-enhancing items recommended to be used for Pokemon. Why I'm saying this is that this boost would hardly make things overpowered. What it would do, however is to give at least some diversity with the selection of items we could use now. It's only Leftovers, Pinch berry, Lum or Chesto so far. Giving us type-enhancing items to be somewhat usable would diverse the things a little bit at least, to me. I would definitely argue this does not make special sweepers any better to the extent tiers could need any fixing because of this. For physical attackers Choice Band has always been better than type-enhancing in the long run and it will forever be this way. Special sweepers are generally good due to their enormous selection special moves. Sacrificing your item slot just to boost one of those moves and not by even that much wouldn't make things too metachanging. I'd like to ask community's input regarding if type-enhancing item buff would be beneficial to our competitive experience in this game. What comes to casuals, I don't think this changes anything in any relevant way so I figured this mostly is a competitive discussion.
  9. Basically making money by grinding NPCs or battling against other players. Don't need to be a genius to tell which one is more fun.
  10. So this tournament IS going to be held despite the host being no longer staff? Edit: Yeah I see Sparkie is the host in OP now but just making sure.
  11. Excellent wallbreaker for the most common UU walls.
  12. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-269489695 Getting Trick-y
  13. Well if it didn't cost SO much then I wouldn't see it a problem.
  14. Because it leads people to just bike their happiness if there's some 24 hour cooldown and someone needs their happiness done now. Also waiting multiple days to get enough happiness to evolve a Pokemon to breed a next Pokemon is pointless.
  15. If I remember correctly those Pokemon groomers just give slight happiness addition so in case this was a thing better to at least make it be somewhat significant happiness boost that groomer would give.
  16. Level 41. You can check all these from in-game Pokedex assuming you own the Pokemon.
