Im curious which abilities do we need to make the split more easily handled?

Im conflicted by the decision (this was a decision right? I saw no mod confirm just evidence of testing being done). I am looking forward to it but at the same time am worried. How many pokes would actually be ruined? Wouldnt most just need a new moveset and re ev training. The only pokes that would be ruined are the ones that would need a new moveset and cant get the moves it needs w/o breeding.

Not really. Thats the way it has been since b4 easy breeding came along. And you CAN get 6x or 5x 31 pokes with this breeding system (in theory). You even mapped out how to do it in this comment. Its just not going to be easy, and it shouldnt be. If you lower ur standards to 25 however it gets easier. Also the fact that it will take all those pokes to make a godly (notice i said godly) poke means that people will be forced to look towards the market to get the resources they need. Which imo is a good thing and makes this game more like a mmo. I also did say that i thought that ur idea could be a good one to look at as a possibility for future implementation (even the devs tried to make it happen already). Its just that i dont like the idea of buffing breeding from the getgo. Lets test it out, see what happens, then decide where we take it from there.

So after ppl have anylized the breeding system a little but and posted their thoughts (not tlking bout the ppl who raged) heres what i think will happen to the market. -Comps value will rise a lot. Just by the pure price that it cost to get a good comp will rise the price of the comp itself. Thats not just the brace but the everstone, the pokes that it took to make that comp, and the time it took to get the resources to make that poke. It will take more effort to get good comps, but people will be willing to pay more for that effort. -There will be a HUGE market for dittos with 25-31 ivs somewhere. Dittos will be the main resource used to breed pokes. Not everyone is going to want to farm dittos all day so they will just buy them. There will be people who need dittos with a desired stat in all possible stats so any ditto with a 25-31 will be able to sell for something. The price might be kind of low (around 15-30k) Although people may want to horde these pokes for later use so the price might rise bc of that. Dittos with 31 speed will be worth more than others and dittos with 25-31 and a complementary nature will be worth more than others. -There will be a market for most pokes with high ivs. This market will be smaller than the market for dittos so the price may be comparatively lower but there will be people who may have for example a female field pokemon they are breeding an will be willing to buy ur field pokemon with the opposite sex if it has an IV they need. Female resources will probably be harder to sell as the market will be smaller. -31 speed resource pokes will be worth more than others. High iv resource pokes with a complementary natures (ex 31 spcl atk modest spinda) will be worth more than others. -Multiple 31 IV breeders will lose value and probably not sell for what they should be worth. -The gap in the value between normal comps and hidden power comps may close a little. -Everstone trading will be a thing now and price will depend on rarity. Thats all i can really think of. These are just my guesses as to what will happen to the market, feel free to disagree and deff dont go making decisions based off from them. This is also assuming that the economy when it comes to income to money sink ratio is healthy and we do not end up in some kind of pokemmo depression due to not enough income and too many money sinks.

Its pretty much saying that through old shitty mathods of obtaining comps (catching, bikemmo, nerfed flagmmo) most old players have already put a lot of time and effort into getting the comps they have now. I see no harm in asking noobs to put more time and effort into getting godlies than we all have been for the past year or so. Yea i dont like it either. At least not now. A lot of these buffs may be a good idea as options for the future, but right now i think that the base system needs to be implemented and see how that goes. If its too hard then the devs can buff. Not only that could you imagine if they made this system too easy from the start and then had to nerf it. All these immature lil kids who dont want to put any effort into the game would throw another hissey fit.

How many older players do you think came into this game and JUST got to abuse easy breeding? Btwn catchmmo, bikemmo, nerfed flagmmo (i took a break during this time so idk what it was like but i heard it was AWFUL), and having to breed and rebreed pokes most of us old players, maybe not all; some may have started right when easy breed was implemented and reaped all of the rewards, have put more than enough work into their comps to deserve those 31s. Look at it this way, catchmmo getting godly pokes was all luck and near impossible to do (espically to uphold to todays standard). But us old player tried anyway. RNG played a heavy role in Bikemmo too but we kept on trucking through that hoping for a godly here and there, then nerfed flagmmo happened and most of us still went on with it. All of that work we put into the system didnt really pay off until easy breed when we were able to get our godlies. Now we have got this new system where in theory it is possible to get godlies in a more reliable way. Its just going to take more time and effort than b4. If it truly does work out that way then i see no problem in it. Most of us earned our godlies through time and effort already, I would say more time and effort than this new system will require, i see no harm in asking noobs to do the same. I hope all of that makes sense.

Its still relevant information. The biggest concern for the new breeding is the player gap and this is involved in that gap. Its going to be a whole lot easier to breed 25s on everything than 31s (13% better chance i believe) so if noobs can just do that and still compete then it would help close the gap.

First i wasnt trying to say that there is more to this game than comp. So ur attacking an argument that i didnt even present. But since you bring it up there are many ppl on this game who dont comp battle. They must be getting something out of it. And with the breeding changes hopefully trading pokes will be better so there will be tha. So lets for a second ignore the fact that you want a server wipe even w/o a test of the new mechanics; and lets ignore that in theory ppl are saying that breeding is going to be more dependable than it use to be. Lets just focus on the issue of what you gain from a server wipe. What do you gain? An even playing field for noobs. But ask urself, why is the playing field so uneven in the first place. The answer, my friend, is BECAUSE US OLD PLAYERS HAVE ALREADY PUT HOURS AND HOURS OF TIME AND EFFORT INTO THIS GAME. Good gosh what world do you live in where you expect to quickly be on the same level as us who have been on this game for over a year. You do realize that most of us old players have been through 3 different forms of obtaining comps. There was catchmmo, then bikemmo, then flag mmo. And guess what? Each and every time the method of obtaining comps changed all of our old comps became obsolete. That means that we had to start over again. But did we bitch and moan about it. Well maybe some of us did but not to the extent you guys are. We dont even know what this breeding system is going to be like, there are a good amount of ppl who think that its going to be easier than b4, and you guys want to wipe all of the effort (combined thousands of hours) just because we have one update that may put our old comps on a higher playing field than the comps of ppl who are too lazy to get 25+ IV comps. I just dont understand the logic behind this.

Sandstorm needs to play by 6th gen rules if that is possible in 4th gen custom. Ill make a team as soon as someone tells me how to do it for 4th gen custom. Also in pokemmo, since the sandstorm mechanics changed to 6th gen, does that mean that ttar is getting spcl def boost again?

Yea kinda. But shinies are still so rare that this would happen at a snails pace. You gotta keep in mind too that ev training causes you to encounter 252-504 pokes every pokemon you need trained. Thats not gonna be happening as much anymore.
