  1. This goes out to anyone who talks about how fast the characters move around. What if, instead of everything happening at the same time, each plot line is set in a different time and time speeds up or slows down for them as needed. Im going to put my example in a spoiler.

So for example lord varys seemly teleports back to mareen after his trip. We see him at the sandsnakes place and then in the span of an 8th of an episode hes on the ships with daynares. But if we are assuming that everything we see in this episode happens at the same time then we would have to assume it took him an entire episode to make it to the sandsnakes, so how did he make it back so fast? What if when we see him with the sandsnakes at the same time mareen was still being attacked by the masters? And his timeline doesnt meet up with danys and the others until you see him on the ship. So when we see varys lets assume that mareen is still under attack. He makes his deal, and danys just defeated the masters. He starts traveling back and mareen is still recovering. Mareen is now recovered (which would take a while) and dany starts preparing her ships. Varys makes it back when they are about done (but after the scene with dany and tyron) and discovers all that had happened. Hes happy everyone is okay, maybe even tells them about the deal with the sandsnakes, and a day later they are ready to set sail.

I mean you kind of have to assume that the time lines of each plot point dont exactly line up, otherwise it would be impossible to tell each characters story side by side w/o dedicating entire episodes to travel/not having the characters in them. That or you can just accept that the show has to put holes in the timelines in order to tell everyones story while not spoiling anything too soon and having all of the players in the right place at the right time.

First, if youre saying that a move that's only chosen over a superior move because of the RNG aspect deserves a ban, then Flamethrower should be banned because the only reason people run it over fire blast is the miss chance.

The RNG that comes with bslam and the RNG that comes with fireblast or any less than accurate move is completely different. You know that and i suspect i dont have to explain to you why it is different.

So, your argument shows a complete lack of information regarding similar situations in comparable metagames, and it simply doesn't warrant a discussion here.

We have gone against smogons decisions before, its not unprecedented that we do it again if we think it would better our meta. We banned baton pass where smogon complex banned it. What i am asking is not going against ban criteria so i dont see why the tier counsel would flat out disregard the suggestion should the comp community want it.

The difference in thunder wave and bslam is that when i send in a pokemon that gets twaved, if needed that pokemon to not be parad then i made a bad play. If i send in a pokemon that can take a bslam and it gets parad then i have bad rng. And i do not believe that we as a comp community should have to deal with this particular rng aspect (bslam para) and that it could be banned without effecting anything else.

I'll add that this isn't an unreasonable request or anything, Cody, a lot of very very respectable players in later gens are the ones bringing up the scald/dynamic punch discussions and I know your intentions are good. I can say pretty confidently though that it's not something the tier council will be discussing for the reasons I mentioned above

I do appreciate this post statement as i felt like you were talking down to me in your first post. But i ask you to keep an open mind with this, i am not asking you to go against ban criteria so should the comp community show interest in this to at least consider giving it thought. But if you come on here and say "Its not going to happen" anyone who may agree with me, and there may not be anyone, wont feel that it is worth it to voice their opinion.

  3. My argument is not either of the two things that you just said. My argument is that it is a move that is only chosen because of the RNG aspect. There is not one pokemon that would chose Bslam over return if not for parahax. This rng aspect is "cancer" and makes the meta worse off. To what extent is up to individual interpretation, but i do believe that the move is cancerous enough discuss banning and, aside from the rng aspect, useless enough that there would be no downside to banning it.

If the rest of the community doesnt agree then you know w/e. But it was worth bringing up imo.

  4. Apparently people give the actor who plays ramsey shit. Its kind of sad. You guys are right he is an incredibly talented actor.

Now for some thoughts on the episode

The mareen scene was epic. The CGI designers did an amazing job on the dragons. The masters proved themselves to be complete idiots. Why would they think they can take mareen, Danys got dragons. But yea that went down exactly like we all knew it would. One thing i dont get is why did daenerys forgive tyrion so easily. He fucked up bad. I love the lil guy, and peter dinklage is also an amazing actor,  but he did fuck up. Although the siege probably wasnt his fault, it was bound to happen anyway, i dont see daenerys being okay with the deal he made anyway. I would think that she would see it as a betrayal of her cause. But i digress because they made up for it withe the Yara and Daenerys scene. Was anyone else hoping they accidentally stumbled upon the stuff HBO use to show at night during this scene?

Now onto the battle of the bastards. The scene where sansa and jon are talking was interesting. You could tell that sansa legit held herself back from telling Jon about littlefinger. Like it wasnt just something that happened so that the battle could commence and so there could be tension. Jon asked where will we get more men and the camera got a shot of sansas face where she looked like she was going to say something but didnt. I think there was a reason why she didnt tell him, one that may become a small plot point later in the series.

The battle was fucking epic. But lets start at the beginning. People are giving reckon shit for not zig zagging, and its funny as hell, but understand that he had a line of archers thousands of men wide that could have fired upon him at any time. Zigzaging would be pointless then. His best hope was to get as far away as possible and hope he makes it out of the arrows range.

Jon snow doe, he fell right into ramseys trap. Sansa warned him, she told him reckon was a dead man, and he went for it anyway. But thats honorable, idt i could leave my family out there to dry like that. But why did he charge like that after the deed was done. That was Stupid as fuck. He had time to get out of there but he didnt. And that mistake cost the lives of thousands of his men and wun wun (which was a much more tragic death than reckons. How fucked up are we as humans to think that way xD).

Sansa is definitely the smarter of the two. Anyone who is still a sansa hater at this point better be hating her for the right reasons. What i mean by that is that the hate use to come from how much of a victim she was, but that has changed 100% now. It seems that she has taken back control of her life and with it came a lot of power. And i love seeing a story about a women taking power from guys who take it from them. BUT i feel like she has become something not good. I kind of feel like Sansa will become as heartless as Ramsey and as manipulative as little finger. Thats why i think there is something more to why she didnt tell Jon about the vale. But we will see. The last bit of dialog between Sansa and Ramsey was interesting. He says "I am apart of you now." I see that as one of two possible things, either A Sansa is preggers and that line id foreshadowing for that, or B that Ramsey is putting into words what i just said about Sansa becoming a different person, a bad person.

  5. Can we have a serious discussion about banning bodyslam?

I know it may sound silly but the move doesnt really add anything to the meta. There is a much more powerful move available in return and every pokemon that uses body slam learns it. The ONLY reason to use body slam is for parahax, which is not only frustrating to play against it could be argued that it is unhealthy because people are only using it for the rng aspect behind it and its not unprecedented to ban things for that reason. Also, in the OU meta at least, there is only one pokemon that can avoid being parad while constantly taking bslams and that is dusclopse.  I can see banning bodyslam as being only positive, but ofc im a lil bias. Any thoughts?

A few episodes ago, the priestess said to Varys that he has nothing to worry about as long as he is on Daenrys' side. Varys was scared shitless during that scene. I think it was actually the first time in the serie that we saw fear in Varys' eyes. I wouldn't be surprised, considering what happened in last episode, if Varys was playing Tyrion.

If he was scared why would he go against the priestess words?

Its kinda interesting what Arya can do right now, dont really hate her sotryline.

But yeah, this episode was pretty fucking shitty, nothing really interesting happened. Also, that sandor clegane was fucked up lol 'you're shit at dying' #1

This was a set up episode so its gonna be slow, especially considering the pace this season has taken.

  8. If you read nothing in this wall of text at least read the last paragraph. I want opinions on my theory.

I cant believe you arya haters still hate her. I love where her story line is going. She clashed against and all but defeated a religion who obviously has some type of magical power backing them.

@RedHairedShanks They show her wounds opening up, but he wounds obviously wasnt as bad as most thought. I mean she was able to both swim and run to safety so they couldnt have been that bad in the first place. As for how did she defeat that other chick, she had the superior weapon and she was the only one who had experience fighting in the dark (she took out the candles before they fought).

I think that the arya stuff is great. Had a slow build up sure but they couldnt take a little girl running from the crown and turn her into a bad ass over night. All of that previous shit, to me, was just showing us how she got the skills she has and now i think that they are going to have ayra do something awesome. My guess is she is going to join jon in the fight for their home back. And remember she can transform herself into other people now (idk how that magic works but it may be something used against which ever enemy she decides to take on). I know the last time she did it she went blind but the man said that she is a nobody now, the waif said that another name was promised to the many face god but didnt say whos, seems to me that ayra delivered on that promise. Even if she chooses to keep her name, does that mean that she still isnt nobody?

As for the rest of the episode, im not disappointed in the way the siege went down. The more starks still alive the better imo. Who needs a castle anyway. The hounds story was awesome and i am looking forward to seeing the rest of that. they had some great lines there "we all die eventually, except for that one" (paraphrasing idr the exact quote). And the scene with Daenrys was okay. It raised some questions. But first, i feel like Tyrion is killable now. I know all character in this series is killable but there has always been an aura of invincibility around tyrion imo. But he made the classic mistake of expressing hopes and aspirations. Thats like putting a target on your back

Walking dead spoiler (at the bottom because spoilers dont work like they use to.)

So yea im wondering if tyrion is going to die soon. It would be completely out of left field which makes me think that i wouldnt put it passed the writer(s) to make it happen. Also we know Daenrys is going to be PISSED at him for what is happening now. If he wants to get in her good graces hes going to have to do something very special. I dont actually think hes going to die, i think hes going to ride a dragon, but i wouldnt be surprised if he died instead.

Idk but shits about to go down, and they got vayrs the fuck out of there before it did for a reason. What if vayrs was playing tyron, used him to get close to Daenrys and those arent the masters attacking the pyramid but some people on the lannister payroll. Remember the scene with cerci, that guy behind her mentioned vayrs birds. What if the message the birds passed on was that the dragon queen was gone so he castle was vulnerable (no dragon queen no dragons to fight for them) so that was the time to attack. What if Vayrs got out of there because he knew there was going to be an attack? That would put the "lets invade the seven kingdoms and take my throne back" story line in overdrive. I could be missing something that shits on this theory, i do miss a lot when i watch these, but it would be a nice twist to what otherwise would be dragons burning everything down and the battle being won.

Edit: Something to add to this theory. Remember the beginning of this episode? They had fake cerci reenact real cercis reaction to jofferys death, she vowed revenge on the imp. That may have been foreshadowing.
