  1. I feel dumb posting this but what happened to the usage stats? Is it not pinned anymore? Didn't get moved? Are we not allowed to see it? Or am I actually dumb af and am missing it? I pmd a mod for this but got no answer.

  2. Been gone for a while, this isn't think nice's alt account Is it? I feel like think nice wouldn't post something like this.

     

    Also is pokemmo nerfing Pokemon because they kill a subset of a team archetype? I feel like if offensive teams is still valid but HO isn't so much so that's not really an issue is it?

    Love the fact that they are complex banning now. I spent a lot of time in my younger days fighting for this

  3. Ive got some lvl 50+ comps that i need to 100. Do it any way you want, daycare, exp share, how ever is convenient for you. Im in no big hurry but if im paying i also dont want it to take forever. This job is perfect for anyone who consistently does gym runs.     I understand, but i feel like that would be the only way to truly test something thats not obviously broken while maintaining the we dont want broken things to be implemented thing. I, of course, like the direction you guys are going with this btw. There is no point in implementing stuff that would disallow a mon from being used in comp imo. Maybe for the story line but from what i understand the devs want to make a lot of the storyline quasi-comp anyway.

    The hydreigon with draco meteor on them had draco meteor removed, none exist in game anymore.

    If you ever decided to change it to where hydra had draco and it turns out to be a huge mistake... would you delete draco from all of the comps that were made in the time it was allowed?

    For e.g.

    in Kanto vs Agathe
    EVERY Poke had outspeeded my 31 Int DV Alakazam with max Level for that time. Even her Haunter does it!! The Haunter was 5-6 Levels below to my Alakazam, hat NO choice scarf, used different no priority Attacks and should have - even with full 31 dv, ev and the right nature - over 20 Init less than my Alakazam.
    BUT... it Outspeeded it.. every time


    And that shouldn´t be possible - So the Elite 4 has to be HARD boosted in their stats.

     

     

    Another Example:

    Just a hour Ago - I fought Drake and he send out his Salamance LV 68 with Lifeorb as item. Maximum Init stats of a Salamance LV 68 with 31 DV and 31 EV + the right nature = 182!
    Well... it Outspeeded my Accelator with 213 Init.... wiht nor priority attack... Dats ****** bullshit.

    So its PROVEN, dat the Elite Four are boosted in their stats.

    Can anyone tell me, how hard their stats are boosted??

    Youve got to give more information. I have suspected that the E4/gym mons are boosted in some way as well but you need to post your EVs, IVS, NAture of the pokemon along with the level. And the level of the opposing mon and how you know it doesnt have scarf. But it seems if you are running a level 100 base 145 speed mon vs a base 100 speed lvl 68 mon you should outspeed, unless the base 100 mon is +speed and with scarf and you are -speed. If we dont know these things then we have no way of knowing for sure if what you are saying is abnormal. 

  7. I want to start this by expressing my appreciation to the devs and tier council for taking steps to try and ensure that we arent banning pokemon that could easily fit in our meta with small tweaks. 

     

    That being said, here is my opinion. There are a lot of things that will be added that will change the way this game will be played. Hidden abilities and new items will change the way team are built. Eviolite is pretty big on that front. Also team preview will change the way people predict and switch pokemon in. With team preview more skill will have a bigger impact on the game than it does now. More importantly tho, it gives more value to having a check to X pokemon on a team. You can get away with not having a counter to a given pokemon as long as you can check him. This also gives more value to being able to predict and less risk to doing so which imo is a good thing. Because, just as an example, you will know there is a Hydregon from the beginning of the game so you will know you need to keep your scarf ttar healthy to deal with him or you need to widdle him down until scizor can come in and BP him. But in the same vain your opponent will know what he needs to get rid of in order for any given pokemon to sweep.

     

    All in all id say keep it out until we see how the meta shapes up. We can add it in later if we feel it would fit. IF we add it in and the Hydregon becomes broken when before he wasn't, it's pretty obvious what broke him. Id prefer at that point that we add a complex ban simply so storyline people can use Draco Hydregion on their runs or we can use it to do E4 or Gym challenges. But if that is 100% out of the question then its best to air on the side of caution imo.

    I want to agree yes it is annoying and time consuming, but in all fairness bags should be turned off for us as well.

    (At least for rematches.)

     

    I disagree if this also means items are disabled as well. A known fact that certain items can be obtained via berry farming/crafting which can influence the prices (if the bag option is disabled)

    This can be solved by only applying this suggestion to rematches. So that new and storyline people arent effected. If it were up to me i would put the gyms and e4 in tournament mode while allowing exp gain for any pokemon that has an exp share.

    That's arguable, but is the supposed added challenge these items present for new players worth the added headache it adds to players who are using these things to grind? 

     

    You can also have the best of both worlds by taking these items away from the E4 n such after a certain amount of times beating them.
