You probably do not want to use Typhlosion for the Kanto Psychic gym; Sabrina occasionally has a Typhlosion of her own with Flash Fire. The Starmie + Toxicroak duo here should handle it fine, I use Aerodactyl (rock slide) + Garchomp (earthquake) team there.

Very useful guide! Out of curiosity, why is the Waiter on route 9 not listed? He has the same payout as the Waitress and is right near Lady Isabel so I personally find it's worth it to battle him when grinding rematches.
