  1. Workout buddies are a nice luxury but not a neccesity. I used to exclusively workout with freinds but when I started to get serious about working out, I realized that relying on a buddy to workout or get a full workout wasn't good for me. I used to forgo excersizes that encouraged a spotter like benching, squats, etc if I was alone. However, I workout around 1am most days, so having a consistent gym buddy is out of the question. Most people at the gym are happy to spot you for a few sets... Just make sure to get your workout in, and think of the buddy as a luxury.
  2. Where's that bestfreindss guy? I wanna get this kid swole.
  3. Entitlement? Do you mean knowing you're a fucking boss because you've put 100% of your effort into bettering yourself, working as hard as you can, and achieving your goals? Yeah, I admire that a lot.
  4. The big name gyms I've gone to offer a one-time free personal trainer session when you sign up for a membership. See if you can get that. Also, you MAY be able to haggle your way into a free personal trainer session or two since gym sales reps are always so desperate for sales. Also, the best advice I've ever heard is "Just start working out." It doesn't matter if you've researched all the right lifts and excersizes yet.. JUST START RIGHT NOW. If you haven't started working out yet, do this TODAY. YOU WILL NOT REGRET WORKING OUT. 1. Stretch and do 25 jumping jacks to warmup. 2. Do 50 push-ups. 3. Do 30 squats. 4. Jog a mile. If at any point you need to rest to complete push-ups or walk to complete the mile, that is fine. Just get it done! It will feel so good to start working out even if it is a simple routine, and it will motivate you to keep working out, researching new exercises and start your journey into fitness! If I've learned anything in life, it's that you need to get out of your comfort zone. The things you want in life come from doing things you haven't done before... things that are uncomfortable. If you could keep doing the same shit and achieve everything you wanted, you'd already have it all.

  9. Also mi amigos, I could use some help myself. I need a real leg regiment as I'm starting to get dem chicken legs. Got any workouts i should be doing( Or doing more often)? Currently doing weighted lunges and calf extensions twice a week and I'm doing squats about once a week. My calves feel like the weakest part of my body atm.
  10. Do you mind telling me all your meals and snacks including drinks on a typical day? Be as specific as you can and include the staples of your diet. And no, you don't need to go to an actual gym. There are certainly ways to workout without a gym. Any exercise that gets your heart rate up will be good for burning fat. I would recommend going for a jog a 3 times a week. If you cant get yourself to jog, find something fun to do. Sports like basketball are great for this. Also, do pushups, pull ups, chin ups, dips, squats, lunges, etc.
  11. You can't burn fat off of a specific area on your body. Crunches won't burn abdominal fat and biceps won't burn arm fat. Since you want to improve the shape of your body and your health, you'll need to have a caloric deficit(Burning more calories than you eat/drink). I would highly recommend a gym membership as there are many gyms you can get into for $10/month. However, fitness is 100% achievable without a gym membership. Lets work on a simple transformation plan for you. Diet : What is your current diet like? Are you eating fast food and drinking soda often? How about Doritos before bed? We can all lower our caloric intake a bit and save some money at the same time. Workouts : Do you workout or are you active at all? There are so many ways to get your cardio. Jogging, biking, paintball, basketball, swimming.... The list goes on. Also, building muscle is good for losing fat. Not only will you burn calories while lifting weights (or doing pushups, etc), but the muscle you put on your body will look great and burn calories while you do nothing!
