  1. yea, surely a 6,7% roll might make something broken. I give the same argument that was given back when it was banned: Gallade is not a mon supposed to be walled. Is a mon that you should outoffense to win. Also, gallade isn't exactly splashable like other mons there such as scizor, and is extremelly prone to hazard chip due to it being switched back and forth due to scarf sets. And no, the others i won't bring to the table because i don't need to, since w/o scarf, gallade still has to switch a lot because most teams except fat balanceds , stalls and frags teams-alike, has 3 to 4 mons able to outspeed it.(A gallade theorically cannot switch in on my team if aren't scarf, because Scizor hits it with Priority and everything else are faster than him. ) Gallade isn't exactly broken due to how our meta are right now. You need to outoffense it to win and 60~70% of the teams can, because they're Bulky Offenses, Climatic, or Hyper Offense.
  2. I'm not asking why the change happened. I'm asking what maked Gallade broken now with 1,5x Sharpness. Because when it was 1,3x and 1,4x Sharpness, no one complained due to it being broken. There was complaining about 1,4x being bad precedents, but no claims that the mon was broken. Now that got back to 1,5x , there is complains that the mon is broken. The question i'm doing is what a 1,5x Sharpness Gallade does now that an 1,3x Sharpness Gallade or a 1,4x Sharpness Gallade doesn't?
  3. If i answer that on the dug thread Munya would 100% hide because off-topic. Posting there instead, which is more apropriated. Want to ask what happened to gallade suddently be broken now. When it was 1,3x boost, everyone accepted and no one complained. When it was 1,4x boost, People complained due to 1,4x being bad precedent. Still, no one claimed it was broken. What changed from a 1,4x Sharpness Gallde to a 1,5x Sharpness Gallade, that maked it too much to be handled?
  4. They talk like the event not appearing yesterday or today was a cancellation of the event. Xmas 2022 was 2 days late, AllenYatsura have telled me on their discord that one LNY was 3 days late. Some delay can happen, especially with the incoming feature, and prob Gen 9-3 Moveset Updates(SV DLC II - Indigo Disk). Just don't bother the devs, let them do their job. Better they deliver late the event and with higher quality than deliver right now a poorly coded event.
  5. Yea, the arguments in general are with heavy flaws. They sayed that: "Dugtrio has low usage, so it should stay because it's not a threat, despite their Uncompetitive nature." or something in those lines, but when they were discussing KR cloyster, they sayed on the lines of: "F*** their low usage, he is uncompetitive and should be banned." When people say that the players experienced favour defensive play in arguments, now i see that this is infact true and complaints are legit. Most teams dugtrio enables, are either stall teams who use it to kill the opponent's wallbreaker, or semistall teams, and they're defending with Tough Claws the mon doesn't get banned for being Uncompetitive. Now, when KR Cloyster was there, there was every month a thread asking for his ban for Uncompetitiveness. Which team has absolutely no chance to win since everything was slower than him, without cloyster even firing a shell smash?? I don't need to answer that. Before someone says: "But you defend also an uncompetitive strat too that are Serperior Defog" to try to claim i'm a hyprocit for even consider talking about uncompetitiveness of some mons, i consider things uncompetitive when the ways to abuse it are not in opponent's hands, which the strat I defend happens to be(To have raised evasion you depend on your opponent to mindless defog on you, and 3 braincells makes him not do that). Also in the thread, there is gbwead, who idk which side he is in. He literally tried to contrary my argument and backfired. The whole point of my argument is simple, because we have so many threats on OU we have to use our resources wisely and that's why dug teams are so powerful, most teams , worried about more common threats , will not have something ready for him. And also if you put an mon that happens to check the same mons that another, pairing tytar + chansey for example, is just a mere bonus, because you don't put the Chansey there exactly for Volcarona. You put it there worried about other stuff like Serperior or Hydreigon for example.
  6. Do i'm on /vanish in this thread? Bcause what i've sayed on the first post of 5th page was 100% ignored on the bolded sentence. The only team that will have such thing would be stalls/semi-stalls since they can fit a lot of walls and has 2 mons ready to wall every single mon on OU.
  7. Another problem you forgot to mention that could be an argument: "People can bring 2 answers to X/Y mon and this throws Dug's strat on the trash" we can't, ArtOfKilling mentioned on some discussion thread, iirc was on the October-2023(Edit: It was, page 2.): Is not a flaw having a team not able to win vs dug, or having just 1 answer to one of their teammates. There is 18 mons you need to be aware, and you has to be ready for Sandstorm with Excadrill, Sun with Venusaur and Rain with Kabutops/Kingdra. How you can fit a mon that fully counters dugtrio, or 2 mons able to counter the same thing, when you need to cover over 20+ threats?
  8. I legit forgot about scizor, metagross and excadrill. But about the topic, the problem on using shed shell is because in 80%-90% of the matches will be useless. Mails seems reasonable because trick is far more common, rotom-w/gengar/chandelure/metagross, mentioning examples of trick users. And unlike trapping, without the item you can still play around the tricker. If you have an AV user vs an Trick Rotom-W, you switch to him. If he tricks, he will be no longer able to Heal or even defog. Is far easier to time an possible trick coming. With trapping, you has to switch to an mon immune to trapping, predicting every switch. You has to be careful even when killing a mon or forcing a switch away(With Roar/Whrilwind), because depending of the mon you use, the opponent may want it trapped.
  9. Is not. Because let me remind you, on OU rn all steel mons OU BY USAGE(Before someone tries to mention Empoleon or Lucario) either fly or levitate, except ferrothorn which dugtrio can't do much, since it dies to gyro ball and trying to reversal cause them to faint too, ferro also has leech seed to break sash without powering the reversal up. So, basically you use shed shell to esape trapping either from Magnezone/Dugtrio , or Wobbu and the second one is not nearly as useful due to 3 turns Shadow Tag. So you use shed shell to escape 1 single mon
  10. In the case of Lum Berry and rocky Helmet, they do more than punish fake out/spore. Lum Berry allows to evade annoying scald burns, toxic and WoW. Rocky Helmet chips any physical dmg so resist prioritys in general had a bad time. But shed shell don't give any actual benefit besides escape dugtrio, if you don't face it, that will happen 90% of the time, your item will have the same value than a stall player a Magikarp in your team.
  11. I think community won't mind on not giving input on quick bans. In a scenario when quick ban happens there is nothing to discuss, TC already decided it's broken, and a simply announcement on OU Discussion thread or whatever is the discussion thread of the tier telling: "Hey, the TC is looking at X pokemon and we're doing a quick ban vote." is more than enough, and according to the quick ban concept: "Any further discussion is pointless.". When there is a Standart Ban, TC is not fully conviced and there needs to have a discussion to maybe someone change their mind. Right now, as Gb sayed, the Quickban is more an option of whether the TC wants us to shut up or not.
  12. for the last mon your recommendations are good but he wished a Balanced team, with those mons the team would be too passive given that an Skarmory would be there. There is some better option?
  13. This was my argument the entire time. The problem is that we can't build a team that stops all threats in OU, we're overloaded. We has to focus on the highest ones and get exposed to the lower ones.
  14. I will just remain quiet and see the arguments. But just reminding to you guys, you can't argue about usage of dugtrio "because 3,8% is too low", you wanted and eventually banned an even less used strat that was KR Cloyster that was uncompetitive, also wished an Serperior / Suicune ban back when both was 6% usage. Explaining better: Talking that dugtrio is not bannable due to being low usage despite their uncompetititve-ness nature, mainly due to AT, is very contraditory with the KR ban that was banned for their Uncompetitive-ness nature despite their low usage in the most part of their time without being nerfed(It was when surging the first problematic team abusing of it that the Item was banned, and now Dugtrio is on the same spot, an problematic team with it rised.).
  15. AT is usable in some metagamings so i'd surely ask to nerf Dugtrio by itself. But the problem is all metas that AT is relevant except OU, are unofficial(Untiered with Digglet(yes, digglet is usable in UT due to checking emboar) and LC with Trapinch) and by that TC has no obligation to bring them to topic when discussing the best nerf. Obligation, they can optionally still ask for a direct nerf in dugtrio. I hope TC consider the non-official metas when deciding the nerf if they ban dugtrio.
  16. Had to agree with huar. However, the biggest problem of dugtrio is the combination of their unhealthiness/uncompetitive-ness, and the state of the metagaming right now. There is so many threats we can't cover everything, so we have to be selective and focus on the most used ones, with countering a lower one being a bonus. And given that dugtrio has lower use, most teams are simply not ready for him. The fact that our metagaming is unstable makes our teambuild weird, in a attempt to cover threats(My team would love a taunt serperior, but given that Rain is a bigger threat i'm forced into AV serp.), and even that proves to not be enough
  17. I think the events should have an attached charm to it. For LNY, since it's the lucky event, Money charms or Magnetic Charms is the ones that fits better.
  18. I'd say that the unofficial meta playerbase as a whole proved that if the format is more in gimmick nature it's better in the Players' hands, preferable the ones that play the format and has experience, than in the staffs' one. We've seen it with LC: after going out of staff control and became controlled by players, it became far more stable, in the teambuilding and in tiering. I'm even risking on saying that LC is far more stable than Doubles and OU right now, two metas knowed by being very stable. I'd support LC and other formats being Semi-officials(They would be there and able to do Community hosted stuff there, also listed to help the duels being called easily without worring about any possible mistake, but when comes to tiering, TC take part if they want, but they're not forced onto doing so if they not wish. ), because i know official are not possible.
  19. There is a major flaw. You mentioned your method was cheaper? But you realize that any strat discovered takes the Butterfly effect and become expensive when people go using it if they see it's worth. To the method be cheap it needs to be bad at the point it's not considered an alternative option either, which your strat looks like it's not, isn't good enough to suprass the Forretrees GOAT strat, but it's good enough to be an alternative alongside with the Subs Timed Smeargle. Also i showed at the forretrees's strat there is a way to have extra PP for status condition so plz fix the max use. Thanks
  20. Maybe it's because there wasn't a single nerf in defensive strats since sinnoh in 2020 even with things deserviing?(Amongus and Dugtrio, i'm looking to both of you) But talking seriously, a mon being able to break through defensive teams, that are know to not being easily breaked, is a Red-flag. If there is no flaw on him to compensate, then it can deserve a Ban, beause it can manage to break even the most resistant mons there. Gallade breaks easily the most popular defensive teams, but their mediocre physical defensive bulk makes outoffense it very easy. Also since he uses Choice items, most often Scarf, it are prone to status conditions and he is grounded, so it's prone to hazard stacking. Hydreigon being banned is because there is no major flaw to overshadow their destrutive capability. 130 BP Draco is a nuke, even more with the Highest sp. atk of Dragons there using it. Also it was virtually untrappable(Shadow Tag wobbu couldn't do s***, AT won't work and pursuit deals no dmg due to resists), and the hazard dmg Hydrei ocould be worried is just rocks, but 12% is manageable. So he can always switch and remove the SpA drop, the realistic Draco Meteor's drawback. Scarf Hydrei is almost impossible to outspeed due to 98 Base speed
  21. Context, there was LC as a official tier in PokéMMO. The devs removed it, and people theorized for some causes for the removal. Gbwead, in the LC Club(You can check on the Clubs section and join LC Club to see it), pointed out 5 possible reasons for LC being removed and i'll write and explain them there one by one. 1. The LC tier kept exposing a lot of bugs that otherwise would be unoticed like dmg rolls, recycle not working, etc. Through those bugs, LC was making the game look bad. 2. The LC tier had a lot of bans and even ability bans (AT & Download). Devs do not like tiers with a lot of bans. 3. The LC tier did not have a large player base like other tiers. 4. The LC tier needed to go in order to make room for randoms. 5. The LC tier didn't have a very versatile metagame and was always defined by very high usage mons that usually ended up banned. The reason to bring the thread is because if there was all reasons to LC get out, in absolutely all points the devs contradicted themselves, with the last pearl this week. - First one was contradicted with the Randoms that exposed even more bugs. There is a lot of bugs found but not fixed yet, like the species bug that takes base form when considerating filters and level adjustments - The fourth one was always contraditory. There is an actual limit to how many formats they can put in the game? - Third prove themselves after Randoms, Basically all lower tiers had almost no games. LC was failing to fill tours every time? Now UU, NU and Doubles tours doesn't fill, There is even a limit for how much seats you can put on a tour of those tiers on community-hosted tours, if it's fee based. 32, to be exact. - Fifth point proved himself over time. On June, 2022, that was exactly the case of OU. Either you runned Rain, Dreishao or Chansey + Rotom + Skarm/Cofa. Any other option and you'll lose to anyone over 700+ elo. If HAs given variety to OU, same was done to LC. - The cherry on the top was the second one. They this week announced on one tiering case that instead of the normal procedure of banning the mon for OU(They ban, nerf it in some way, then bring it back), they would do a Complex ban instead for him. And yes, I'm talking about Draco Hydreigon, banned for OU and allowed in Doubles. The complex bans was one thing they hated the most. Also, this was contraditory since December, 2022. Because they hated to ban things over and over again from a banlist, right? Well, seems like this is no longer a case because since December moody is on banlist but they did not nerfed it or removed it yet.
  22. All moves up to Gen 9 NDex, from DLC I. Exceptions to moves that were created after gen 9 such as Nuzzle and Fairy-types(Except Moonlight because it existed on Gen 5 as a normal type move) moves. Some moves are removed from learnsets for balancing purposes, like Swords Dance Garchomp.
  23. I also had one, which version i should install and how's the procedure to play?
  24. For wobbufet shadow tag, I think it could be unnerfed and had a ban on tickle + wobbu instead, bcause before tickle Wobbufet was Untiered, so it could say for itself a lot. This point was brought by gbwead if i recall correctly, and i kind of agree. About Swords Dance Chomp, nothing to complain. I'd only ask for Shadow Tab to be banned for OU if we had other users like for example, Gothitelle, which is kind unlikely to happen.
  25. That's bad. Well, at least with zapdos gone for 2 months, and still a flow of Elemental Orbs going to GTL(don't argue that people might use moltres, it's trash for PvE.), their price is going to decay over time.
