The GBA layout does not cut it out for me. Having everything in different corners makes sense, For example, Run is at the bottom because your Running away from a battle. Battle could be on the side Next to Switch PKM, or fuck it, make it like persona 5 as a Joke in an can't believe they did this joke for all i know! Point is, I Played the 3DS games, and while the Switch style could be copied so it does look like the Sun and Moon or Black and white setup, The Mobile style is really preferred. I will try to make a concept later, as I have work.

Answer: It Can be Possible, and if there is a possibility to get the Global Link to function in some way, it can be that Pheona has done this. basically: Pheona Knows how the OG server worked, thus, its possible for it to get it working again on her own servers. Nintendo owned the original servers (PGL) , and Pheona has this one (PokeMMO), it is possible. If anyone wants to help me elaborate on this, Please reply.
