  1. Yes... literally EVERYONE who used cookies realized it didn't work. I can name 3 friends (4 including myself) who reported it on day 1. Cookies are crucial on hard mode and fun fact, I wrote the guide on defeating pumpking. You don't see me getting butthurt about people using my or my friend's strategies cause guess what? We work together on shit and like helping the community. What does this have to do with the post anyway? Like, what? Is this supposed to be an argument? Why are you even saying something like "us vs you"? This is a game we all play, it's one community. Sigh, I wish you'd read: Not my problem to cry about inconsequential shit like that. It doesn't affect me at the end of the day, I'm still having fun playing pokemon and making my own strategies against pumpking and winning. I'm also having fun helping others beat it. What shitty people do isn't worth my time or energy. If you don't want your shit shared, go play an emulator, there's no other players there :) Ok once again, for the twentieth time in this thread: RMT IS DEALT WITH BY STAFF AND PUNISHED. IT IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM. (I hope caps makes it easier to read) If you're not RMT-ing, you have nothing to worry about. If you are, all this complaining is kinda sus. Wanna know what makes this harder? The fact that everyone can watch your matches and copy your strategy anyway, and give it out for free. And if you're dumb enough to pay for strategies that are widely available on YouTube or forums for FREE, then you're your own problem, the spectating system being limited would enable this behavior more. So your argument here actually advocates against the suggestion. Because enabling private battles against NPCs would only allow this type of behavior to go on unchecked. P.S. earning money from video/streaming sites for content creation is not RMT. However, selling strategies is. And allowing anyone and everyone to spectate battles actually works against people's ability to hide their teams and give their information out on a pay-to-know basis, which this suggestion would work to enable. Why is this an issue? I still don't see why this suggestion is so strongly argued for without a single solid argument for it.
  2. Yup, cilan, chili and cress are all rematchable. So you get 2 extra gym leaders to battle at the loss of one.
  3. Doesn't the fact that you get 3 rematches in the striaton gym more than make up for the lack of Giovanni?
  4. Also because vague questions like "where do I get the bike/exp share/breeder/etc.?" and "help I can't find the third gym?" that get asked often would be much easier to deal with. Upvoted.
  5. Also, I just wanted to say this made me burst out laughing in the middle of the night and wake everyone up, and I'm so happy it wasn't deleted :') Hecking classic. Thank u for this. :')
  6. .....no because there's no way in hell matchmaking and tournaments would disallow spectators. But where was the outrage when every Chinese player ran that team? Was dray even mad about it? No, he didn't care because he's been around long enough to know that this is a game, a massive multiplayer online (that's what MMO stands for, fun fact) game. If you want privacy you can go play Pokemon on an emulator and hack something like pumpking into it. In an MMO, information and experiences are always going to be shared. If people watch me and learn, I'm happy I get to help someone overcome the nightmare that is pumpking. If they claim my team was theirs, that's kinda sad but whatever, they're that kind of person and no one likes that kind of person. Not my problem. Tell me one of your strategies that was "stolen" and I can promise you I can show you a post/video/guide from before you ever played this game that uses a similar team or strategy. What happens if I accuse you of stealing the idea then? Anyway, that's irrelevant. More importantly, an MMO (massive multiplayer online in case you forgot) involves people interacting with each other and learning from each other. If someone copied you, you should be proud of yourself! Your research helped others! I don't get how you don't see all the arguments made about how selfish it is that your entire post is profit motivated and money and credit are the only arguments you've been using. I haven't seen a single solid argument from people supporting this, just anger, name-calling and one story for context (which isn't an argument). Remember, it's a game, you're supposed to be having fun and helping each other out. Relax c: Addressing the other complaint about "I spent 15m making pokemon whole the other person only spent 3m D:" Dude, pokemon aren't untradable. And you can sell literally anything you breed for profit unless you're bad at breeding, and if you're bad at breeding, git gud. So that's not a legit argument either. (Also, think about it: if pokemon were real and battles actually happened, and if you were battling a giant thing like pumpking out in the open, how would you stop others from watching? Can't think of a single way that doesn't sound absolutely ridiculous or break immersion? Thought so)
  7. I didn't consent to being in this picture, but look mom I'm on TV!
  8. Here's a walkthrough that takes you through the sevii islands storyline. Cerulean cave will open up right after you finish these :)
  9. Canon: The old man is an old god that can create a pokemon from thin air. To get a strong pokemon, you have to sacrifice two weaker pokemon to appease him. Does he eat them? Maybe he absorbs their spirits. Who knows? His power transcends even that of the devs so no one knows. The braces you put on your pokemon while breeding are basically tags to indicate to this god older than space and time what attributes you want the pokemon he creates for you to have. And such a prayer always requires two blood sacrifices. Devs can't change this system because the breeder god is above even them, and this is how he wants it to be. Who knows what horrors would befall the players and their pokemon if this "man" isn't appeased... This suggestion might've made him mad, welp.
  10. ?????? Relax, get a pokemon with a low base attack stat, use its lowest evolution (shuppet/gothita), breed 0 atk and a -atk nature onto it if you're REALLY worried about all the hundreds of shinies you'll run into that'll raise your thiefmon to level 100 no matter how hard you try to keep it low level. Can't even imagine how absolutely terrible I'd feel running into shinies left and right when I just wanted to thief farm. Stupid shinies overleveling my mon. Heck this mechanic, you're right.
  11. This suggestion pops up p often and iirc (correct me if I'm wrong) there was one on which a dev said it was something that they'll implement someday or the other. For now, you can have co-op double battles with your friend at the Battle Frontier in Hoenn as well as during Christmas/Lunar New Year events
  12. Sorry, been a busy weekend! I'll start working on it tomorrow if I have the donations to encourage me motivation to!
  13. I had an official wedding ceremony in verm officiated by a GM with tons of people in attendance. I then got banned and came back from the ban to find my wife playing Battle Frontier with another man :'( I need this suggestion to protect the sanctity of marriage!
  14. What about a maximum of one number per name and numbers being the only non-alpha characters allowed?
  15. These ideas seem so good it feels like I've read them a thousand times already!
  16. I mean if you're on a PvP oriented team, you'd want your tag flexed like that. I'd deff want my team tag next to my name in tournaments/leaderboards (if i actually played comp instead of afk-ed all the time), and I'd wanna see what teams my opponents were from. People in pvp-oriented teams would probably love to flex their tags.
  17. I might be posting an updated version of this guide in a day or two, might not. We'll see. If you guys DM me the differences/inconsistencies between this guide and this year's event, I'd really appreciate it, thank you <3 Or you could post them in this thread! It'll make the whole thing less work and much faster for me. :D
  18. I'm all for public shaming. @Revz stole my sandwich. >:( I take back everything I said to defend him here.
  19. There's literally an Official Events section on the forums you could've checked and gotten the info yourself. You could've also asked global or channel chat. I doubt someone would be checking their whispers every second, mod or not, especially when they're getting things ready for an event. Or like right now when there's no event so he's probably just afk lol. The event was 7 hours ago :) @Revz shame on you tho
  20. Forgot about this oops, day 2: forbidden kiwi
  21. Karp promised we would start this thread together and that I'd get to post the first reply to it. But he started it and forgot to tell me, and has been asking me to post here everyday since he did. But out of saltiness, I'm not going to post any of the amazing foodporn I have on my camera roll or downloads folder, but I'll post a forbidden snack everyday :3 Day 1: Forbidden Fried Chicken (It's Calcite, a mineral)
  22. Are you justifying oppression? That's what these NPCs embody. They're oppressing my rights as a trainer and my ability to catch legendaries and Pokemon with hidden abilities. I never thought I'd encounter an NPC sympathizer on these forums. Shame on you for turning against your own people. #OccupyBattleFrontier
  23. Just a heads up that a shiny zorua will NOT be disguised as a shiny Pokemon, so a non-shiny venipede or whatever could turn out to be a shiny zorua. (I'm sorry if this was already mentioned somewhere in the thread, no one ever taught me how to read)
