  1. Caoix is right i usually do those at the end of the season(UT/NU changes).

Also re: why something was bannned, we did kind of a poor job in the past on stating why something was banned an even poorer job keeping logs of such things, starting very recently, this last month I believe for the Medicham thing, we're keeping internal logs of the discussions and the thread to be able to be reference.

The discussion threads are still publicly viewable as well in the archive.

The usage movements are now in game.

  2. Its actively being worked on/rearranged so yes it might not make much sense right now, thank you for your feedback.

Specifically I was asked to clarify when bans will be handed out after a vote.

But quickbans are also being reworked a bit to be an ongoing vote during a normal ban process so they don't necessarily "end" in the normal sense, if votes ever meet the criteria of a quickban(unanimous voting) then they can happen at any time without constantly needing to re-open a quick ban vote.  Once a Normal ban process vote happens both voting polls and the thread will be closed.

As for past bans and ban processes they are irrelevant under current policy, we are not held to previous policy.

  3. It was a month yes, but its not now. And no, you are ignoring the fact no subsequent bans will occur for a specified period of time after another ban has occured(now 2 weeks) outside of quick bans which this one already had and failed vote on.

The special considerations is new and is an internal discussion unless something is deemed needed to be brought up to the community, it is indeed new and does not mean things will be unbanned and retested at the end of every year.

  4. As with any ban you need to convince the TC, I will just advise against doing it in the middle of a month due to the aforementioned usage.  They are free to do whatever they want though as long as the timeframe and or requirements mentioned in the policy for bans are met.

I can only speak for myself so in this case lets just call the we, I.

Also, idk if off topic but, why do you guys review stuff like gallade nerf which is pretty recent, but never even test 120 bp outrage? yes yes its broken, but so is gallade and here it is, getting buffed again

Probably a few things, first being scope. This is an ability that only a single mon has, its much easier to monitor and evaluate its change compared to outrage that has a much broader impact at least in where it can be used and by what.  That said theres also probably the timeframe in question, the Gallade nerf is very recent  and you could consider it still in the testing phase.  Outrage was left that way a long time ago in comparison.  Outrage is not off the table entirely though, it was very recently asked about so you may see it get tested sometime in the not so distant future after these changes are done and things settle with them.

Making custom changes to the game to balance an ability that shouldn't have been introduced in the first place is simply unacceptable.
What's more stupid is the logic behind this, so if the pokemon drops to UU it should be buffed to remain at OU? what the fuck.

It didn't drop to UU nor does this have anything to do with it dropping to UU.

We are not constrained by the rules of the official games we are able to takes steps outside of it. It has been that way for a long time with various ability nerfs or withholding buffing certain moves or increasing the BP of other moves.  Or even adding in things that didn't exist in Gen 5, and 3 before it.

  7. TC members are free to give their own opinions, we do not disclose votes no.

As it stands now all of this is already in the next update, you are free to try and change minds but I cannot guarantee you will.

We would prefer this discussion to remain in one place, if it gets locked then someone is just going to open a new thread.

Hi, thanks for the post and for keeping us updated; I have a couple of questions:

Is this a full list of the moveset updates? Or just the ones you (TC) felt were more relevant? Because, while I do not have a full list of the new moves, I'm noticing at least one missing (Haze Empoleon) and as such I don't know if it wasn't added by accident, as a deliberate choice or for any other reason.

There are indeed more, haze on empoleon will be a thing.

The change to Sharpness is largely a dev decision though the tier council was consulted. They wish for it to be as close in viability to what it was before without breaking the tier.  If it is broken after buffing it to 1.4 it will again be nerfed possibly to 1.35.

  9. Lifestyle will be leaving TC, we greatly appreciate the work and time he put into the position and wish him well..

Lumiere and Axelgor are our two new members, welcome to the team.

This was a very hard decision as we had a lot of really good applicants and applications this time around, but if you didn't get chosen don't be discouraged.  Keep participating in discussions & the competitive scene and you may get picked next time.
