Expect Xmas to be the same thing aswell, I don't think think there will be heavy changes, and its normal considering what happened during this year in terms of updates, but at least, there wont be much rng involved by default. But anyway, halloween is the best event by far to make profit, the thing is that this one isn't very worthy anymore so who knows how Xmas will look like in economy terms.

One of the most important things is probably the fact that the kids became useless, they're worthless to farm since they don't give special candies anymore, maybe they should be reworked into something more useful/worthy since the players who farm the event completely ignore them. Other fact I'd like to consider are the swarms. Other than appearing in unusual places, they carried particles in the past which could also be obtained via pumpking bags. Now they're useless, once more, they just serve as check for a possible rare shiny.

Refer to this: among Thief, Covet, etc, the effects of those moves have been temporally disabled

if you want an advice tho, 90% of the youtube strats aren't optimal/are made in good circumstances which don't reflect the complete efficiency of the strat*

Prob 2021 ye, sorry, but anyway the statement stays the same, the only way to balance 100% wr to make it """equal""" to everybody is to add rng, this year is too much imo and in many others' but I hope it's useful for calibring it better towards future events

In addition to your (excellent) explanation, remind what happened last year: there was a strat which pretty had 100% winrate with Taunt hydreigon. What happened: Devs nerfed it, and forums pretty much burned if I remember correctly. The solution they purposed was basiclly pure RNG, decreasing taunt success to 50% instead.
