Okay sir, i will try that But where in Saffron can I return to Vermilion?

So, I need to get back to Vermilion in order to use fly. But I am in Celadon and I haven't beaten the electric type gym yet. How do I get back to Vermilion? I've been wondering off in Rock tunnels but cant seem to find the way back. Please help
