you'll have to right click the pokemon and view its summary window to see if its shiny or not -

I wasn't, and I don't think anyone else was, making a claim that people with under 350 hours can't get anything done or can't be good at the game. HOWEVER, more time spent working on a MMO type game generally leads to better stuff (pokemon) and higher skill (cuz, experience). This obviously isn't 100% true, but its reasonably accurate. For this reason I think having a location for people who do have this experience isn't a bad thing. Its like anything else in MMO games. If you want something good you have to grind for it.
I've also come to the realization that I've let myself get bogged down in this thread again :L -

Being a veteran has nothing to do with join date - it has to do with the level of participation. Your 230 hours, September join date and 43 forums posts put you, in my mind, not much above any other player who has 230 hours and 43 forums posts and March join date. -
So I know there are some existing favorite pokemon threads, but I'm curious if what people say their favorite pokemon are turn out to be their actual favorite pokemon.

I never played past gen 3 so all pokemon from that were random or based on my experience in showdown. But this list is very, very wrong :L

That might be it... I know in the past users who did that somehow triggered the script to say it was removed but never recieved the item. IDK if that can still happen though or if its fixed -

Tested my theory.
Used the vs seeker on those trainers east of Pewter
lead with Forretress, laid down spikes
Switched to scizor, used false swipe
Switched to Vaporeon, used roar
Weedle was forced out and Metapod came in
KO'd Metapod and when Weedle switched back in it fainted
Vaporeon got no EXP but Smeargle (which I had forgotten was holding EXP Share) did
Hope this helps with identifying the bug
